Hello?
Hello? Hello?
Hello? I don't know if it's even working. Oh, it is working. Okay, that's Facebook. That's Facebook is working. Okay, now it looked like Instagram was working. Let's see, is Instagram working? I can't tell. It looked like it was though. Oh, okay, that's cool. Sorry, I'm just— I'm still learning how all this works. Instagram does not look like it's working, but that's okay. Let's see. Hey, some of, some of it's working! Hello, Silly Hilly! Hello, Cedar! Hi, Kathy! We are making art. Oh, where did my— what happened to my camera? Oh, sorry. We are making art, or we're gonna try anyway. I'm not really the artist of the family, but hi everyone! I don't know how to tell if I'm on Instagram or not. I can see that— I'm assuming that I'm on, uh, TikTok because Silly Hilly is on there, and I think Silly Hilly is only ever on TikTok. I also can't see if I'm live on TikTok either. How frustrating. Oh well, I'm pretty sure I am. And then YouTube, I think I can tell with YouTube. No, I also cannot tell with YouTube. It's so funny, if I go to my own channels to look, it just— it is not working. But Anyway, you don't need to see my notifications. I think I am— I think it's all— I think it's all okay. Yeah, Sean, would you mind? Thank you very much. I would actually appreciate that to see if I've done it right, because I may have— I may have screwed it up. Oh, an island meetup on August 22nd? Maybe. I don't know if I'm— August is kind of a weird health month for me. August 22nd. But I am in town, it looks like, for now. Hello from the UK. Hello. We are making some art, and this art came from North Saanich, which is a very fancy way of saying Victoria on Vancouver Island. And you should be able to read the thing down there. Yeah, yeah, I think a meetup would be fun. It depends on how my health is. I've got a medical thing a couple of weeks prior that I gotta— Hello, Catherine on Facebook. Oh, that's— oh, I see, that's a TikTok logo. I see. Oh, it's working on Instagram. Excellent. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. So it looks like I'm not able to easily see the Instagram comments. I can see Instagram comments, but it's not easy. So if I— maybe I do that. Okay, then I think I can see both of you. Mother of All Truckers was just in Nanaimo. Nice. Oh yeah, yeah, I think, I think the meetup would be cool. Do you know what I really wish? I really wish that these websites would be like, would only— oh, there's the camera. I'm like looking around, which camera is it? Would only show you comments instead of like everyone who joins gets a thing. And it's lovely that people are joining, but I don't need to see the names of people joining. Hello, Verla. Hello, Orlean. Verla is on Facebook. Orlean is on YouTube. Rainy Ruse is on TikTok. Kathy Lico is on Instagram, so it looks like it's good. I haven't seen any Twitch people come in yet, but, um, sweet Lana, I'm feeling a little bit better, maybe like 10%. It's kind of hard to say. We're both still sick though, as you can hear from my voice, but this voice is better than it was. It's better than it's been in the last 10 days for sure. You know what I should have done? Oh yeah, I got all the socials going. YouTube's on. YouTube's working right now. Excuse me, I'm sorry about all the coughing. I know the audio is not great. Next time I do this, I'll have like a proper microphone set up for you, and I'll probably have music too. I just have not figured out how to play music. I think I might crash my computer if I try to play the music too much, so Having a Nanaimo bar in my favor. Thanks, Catherine. Hello, Sutherland. Hello, Elaine. Yeah, Helly, I'm— I am feeling— I am feeling a little bit better. The only reason I'm looking energetic is because I just had a 2-hour nap. We went to— where do we go? I'm so out of it. Oh, we went to breakfast with some friends and Hi Alice, thank you. We went to breakfast with some friends and— oh, Maryanne's in Australia, nice. And that was cool. And then I came home. We must have done something else. Maybe we didn't, maybe it was just breakfast. Yeah, I think it was just breakfast. Oh, Markel, I'm feeling a little bit better. Thank you. As I'm from Essex, Is this a good Essex accent? I don't know. Wolf Mom came to the infusion. I'm still here in Canada. That's great. Yeah, you got 180 days, so I hope you use all of it. Uh, I have a— like, Orlina, you have a right good point about, about it not liking music. Um, I have a license to a music catalog that, um, that all the platforms have made an agreement with. So it's not cheap, it's not a cheap package, but I can get away with playing music. Unfortun— What was that? Something just happened. Something just happened. I don't know what just happened. I'm so easily distracted, I have no idea what we were just talking about. Anyway, Plan C 180, the not to speak. That's so good. I remember your name from, from chat prior to, prior to it. Oh yeah, and then I came home and had a nap. I'm just kind of wiped. These days. And I went to the sleep doctor. You may have seen I did a video on that, to the sleep clinic, and we waited for a month to get the results. And the results came back, and I do have sleep apnea, as my Apple Watch predicted. So Apple Watch for the win, man, because I would never have known. I don't snore. I don't, you know— Hey, Jeanette's in that. Wendy, it's because I can see you. I always see the cute girls in jammies. That is, that is the way it works here. Anyway, and then I was just wiped out. Oh, sorry, and the result of all that is not only do I have sleep apnea, I have severe sleep apnea apparently. So I'm getting— I don't know, what do they call it? Fitted? Are you getting fitted for a mask? I'm getting a mask. Oh, Alice, you were as well. Nice. A couple of sleep tests. Oh, Cedar, yikes. All right, let me see if I can stretch this chat window out a little bit more. Yeah, that's more like it. Yeah, I got to get a CPAP machine. I don't know, I, I think, I think I had thought that like it was like an older person thing, especially since I don't snore. We had no idea of it, but apparently I had these little— I don't know what they call them— micro— hi, Sassy— um, micro— I don't know, micro something. And there are moments when you stop breathing, um, and apparently I did that 31 times in the 5 hours that I got sleep at that, at that place, at the sleep clinic. Hey, Cat. CBT for insomnia recently. Oh, oh, wow. That's great. Everyone I hear— oh, thanks, Mark. I'm not surprised you're the first time you're ever live stream. I hardly ever do live streams, but now I have it all fancy, as you can see. But thank you. I hope so as well. I, I, it's gonna take a lot of adjusting to, to get there. But like Kat says on TikTok, you will feel like a new person when you get one. That's what I've heard. That is what I've heard. And everyone is like, you're gonna love it. Like, honestly, once you get used to it, you're going to love it. So we'll try. It's all very complicated too because this setup, um, thank you Andrea, a little bit better. Yeah, the setup is like I have to have one setup for the people who are watching horizontally and then a different setup for the people who are watching vertically. I have a CPAP machine, I love it. Yeah, that's what everyone says. Everyone says like once you get it, your life will change. You will be so, so much happier. Entire life improved. You know, I will say this again, cover your ears if you don't want to hear about things related to laxatives. But once I found the right laxative, my life changed, improved dramatically. This is not a joke, it really, really did. Had mine for years and didn't notice a difference. Damn it. Yeah, I— apparently it's quite competitive, you know, the different the different companies. And so the company that the sleep clinic is affiliated with, they referred me because of course they're affiliated with them. But those people couldn't get me in for a fitting or whatever it is for another month. So I think on Monday I'm just going to look around for some other people as well. You have to use it properly. Are we still talking about laxatives? Because all you do is drink it. It's great. Anyway, last time I did a live, we talked about laxatives and it went— don't get brain amoebas. Yes, I've heard. I've heard. Barry's in with the real questions. The laxative is called Restoralax. It comes in a purple— a white container with a purple label. It's not particularly cheap. We used to get it on Amazon until all the bullshit happened, so now we're getting it at Rexall, which is not nearly as cheap as Amazon was. It's just, it is like an incredibly fine powder that you want to sprinkle into whatever you're drinking. Now, when I was a kid, I think it was Metamucil back then, and you'd sprinkle it in and it was gross. It would just turn, like, it wouldn't mix very well. It would just turn into a sludge. And it was disgusting. But this stuff just disappears like it's not even there. It's incredible. Over on Instagram, Carol says, life-changing for my hubby, 37 episodes of apnea on his test. I sleep so much better as well. Oh, that's interesting. I hadn't thought about that. So, beware of the rising colorectal cancer. Oh God, don't tell me that. I'm already getting it. Biopsy in a couple of weeks for a different thing. All right, so this is the, uh, kit, and this is what it's going to make. It's going to make like a 3D thing with a maple leaf and different parts that looks like Toronto in there. It looks like Vancouver in there. So that is what we are making. It is from the McTavish Academy of Art. In North Saanich, which is a very fancy way of saying Victoria. I think they might be separate communities, but they're really not. Thank you. I don't know what the chime means. I'm sorry, if you did something and, and it resulted in a chime and I should thank you for it, thank you. I don't know what happened. Oh, it's— I think it's when someone on Facebook likes, likes it. Yo, everyone on Facebook, can you like this just so I can see if that's what it is? And there's about a 20-second delay, so hopefully in about 20 seconds I'll start hearing chimes. Oh, your sister's in North Sandwich, how nice. First of all, I can't even get into this without like— oh, it's because of that little lip. Okay. There we go. I used a CPAP for 5 years and then went through a gastric bypass in 3. Oh my gosh, you've been through it. You have been through it. So yeah, that is why I've been doing a lot less in terms of, in terms of videos, is just because I've been sick. Tanning and toking at the moment. I, you know, I really wish I could enjoy— oh, I probably can't even say the word here. I wish I— yes, Churro, come here, come here. I really wish I could enjoy the devil's lettuce. Um, I am, I am still sick a little bit, not nearly as bad as I used to be, but I am. This is a nasty one. Um, We went to urgent care and, um, and got chest X-rays and everything, and the doctor— guys, ladies, or fellow bi-men— the doctor was hot. I'm trying to open this without ruining it. I don't know why, because it's just gonna go into recycling. Okay. Here we go. It claims that everything is in it. Cheapest is at Costco. I know, but Costco's an American company too. You know, if I'm not going to buy from Amazon, then I'm not going to buy from Costco. Oreen Simmons, what did you just do that made it go chime? Oh, all of you have been making it go chime. Okay. So sometimes, sometimes it goes chime and sometimes it doesn't. The Chime does not have anything to do with— what's under this tab? Nothing is under that tab. Okay. Anyway, it claims that everything I need is in this package. I always think it's fancy when I get this kind of tissue paper. I don't know why. Oh, it does. It has like paint— each layer as you like. Sample images of completed projects are on our website for reference. Let paint dry before assembly. Assemble layers. I did the Facebook like and no chime. What are people doing? What's the name of the dog? Cedar? I don't— I can't remember. Um, he was, uh, he might have been like 35 or something like that. So cute. Using a paintbrush, apply wood glue sparingly to attach each layer. Okay, I'm not even there yet. Have fun creating. If this goes over well, I may go— oh, I see. If this goes over well, I may get up to— Auryn, thank you. Maybe it's a YouTube thing. What is this? "If these are made from starch and they can dissolve in water, why can't they be flavored?" Why can't these be cheese? It's dissolving, I get it. Hello, fellow Canuck. Hello from Vancouver. Hello, peppermint oil. Well, we have Vicks and I put it under my nose and that helps a lot too. All right, all right, all right. So I got the master stroke, baby. That was much creepier than I meant it to be. Hello, Martha Stewart. All right, so let's just take all these out. Enough yabbering about things. So here it is. Here's all the different layers, right? And then when they're assembled together, They— they're a 3D kind of thing. That's really cool. Yeah, exactly, it's a 3D multi-layered picture and it comes with watercolor. I don't know if I like the colors. Oh well. I love BICs. I really do. I hate to say it, but I do. Here's some glue. Okay. So I have a— I have another project, and it is a miniature. Oh, hang on, I'll go get it because it's in the living room, and I'm basically in the living room, and I will show you what I did. And it was difficult. Hang on, get it. All right, so it was a miniature, and it was one of those miniatures— oh, thanks, Joe. Use acrylic. I see, I'm not even artsy. So this was it, is a miniature. Isn't that cool? I've heard that about the feet and socks on, and it seems very weird to me. Anyway, you make all of it, like even right down to— even right down to— See them, like the magazines here? I don't know how to— there, the magazines right there. Like you make each one of those, each one. So, and you make this little book. So I do like them. They are really cute. This was like the most basic one that I could find. Oops, there we are. It's the most basic one I could find, but it's a little they're a little too small. And I think this is the 1:32 scale, and I needed 1:24 scale or something like that. I needed bigger is what I needed. So, but it is really cool, eh? Because I need another hobby other than TikTok. Because I've noticed that I used to read, I used to play deep Xbox games that would take hours and I could concentrate on them. I could watch documentaries and TV shows, and then fucking TikTok came along and I have no attention span anymore. Instagram's the same too, although I'm not really on Instagram that much, but it's just, it's silly. All right, here we go. I'm sure I'm glad it's given me references because I'm not sure exactly what to do. My daughter would use that for her LEGO people. Oh, guys, guys. You are gonna be— Fiancé is asking if you're a millennial. No, but KitKat, if your fiancé, uh, and you are comfortable with an arrangement, uh, he or she can come over and hang out because that's a lovely compliment and awfully— Uh, no, I am far from a millennial. I am Gen X. I was born in 1970. You have a lot more patience in putting these pieces together. I don't have that much patience. Honestly, Martha hasn't picked up a book in a couple of months since getting on TikTok. Like, I think it's more than just the fact that you can do TikTok. I think it's the fact that TikTok has changed the attention span that we have. Oh, 1971, nice. I did a— I, whenever I look at the demographics of people who, uh, follow my account, it tends to be women Above the age of 60 is my biggest demographic. You are into history. You could take 3D modeling diorama skills and make one of your pertinent points of Canadian history. It's not a bad idea. I do like— you're 81? Good grief. It is true, I do like to have with my— with most of my— although I haven't done it lately, but like, I like to have a metaphor for my videos. For the scripts, for these rants, whatever we're calling them, essays. I like to have like a— I don't know, something. Like a metaphor. Like the one that I did about how Canadians are— basically the point is we're just sad because we used to be America's friend. We were really proud to be America's friend back in the day and we're watching it fall apart. And that that also makes us sad. And I rooted through kind of a bunch of different metaphors in my head and I came up with Portal, the video game, because you will see a lot of my— all my metaphors are going to be about video games and musicals, you watch. So that's a good idea though. I like to have, you know, like maybe the model, I could work that into something or other. Thank you, Mary. Mary Wendy. What was the name of that show? The Senior Cougars. Exactly, man. Um, what was the name of that show?
Was it—
was it The Polka Dot Door, where she would always— she'd look through the mirror and she would start naming names? And I see Sarah, and I see David, and I see Rocky, and I see— and I remember, maybe that's a Canadian show, I don't know, but I remember when she finally said Tod and I lost my shit. Partly because she said my name, also because I was 51 at the time and I'd been waiting a long fucking time for her to say it. No, I was not 51. Romper Room, that was it. That was it. Yes. Yes, Romper Room. All right, shall we begin? Jocelyn is here, by the way. She's just doing things. This is actually her, her painting area, her art area. I will show you. There's all of her art stuff. Here is all of her art stuff. I don't think we've ever actually sat at the same table and done art together before, although I know she really wants us to. Bumper room was in California as well. Okay, maybe it was— I thought it was just Canadian, but to sell your product on false Canadian products, you know, there's people have emailed me with some really interesting projects. Excuse me. Two of them in particular that were really interesting. So one of them, and you can go check this out if you want because they're both public, So one is called— oh, we're going to see Waitress too soon. So one— whoops— one is called thecanadalist.ca, and, um, and thecanadalist.ca is like a database of products, and then it gives a score from, I think it's like 0 to 10 based on like, is the company headquartered in Canada? Do they make it in Canada? Do the ingredients come from Canada? So there's some that are a 10, there's some that are a 6. So, uh, and then there's another one called expressly.ca. Oh, that appears to be a white paper of some kind. I haven't even checked, I haven't even looked at it, to be honest. And then someone else sent me— oh no, I did look at this, and their idea is to have different codes. So to make it easier, so like 4-star made in Canada, or yeah, 4 stars is product of Canada, 3 stars is made in Canada, 1 star is prepared in Canada. I actually think this is a great idea. I actually think this is a great idea because then people can, you know, if there's two products there side by side and they don't know which is which. It happened again. Someone is doing something that makes my computer chime. I don't know what it is. All right. I know I keep saying we're going to get to this, but— Hello.
That's right, and I'm convinced it's hard to find that hobby if your real hobby is streaming.
My real hobby is being an attention whore.
No, you say that, but I think you just like to make friends online and on technology.
Yeah, that's true.
And it's your, your, um, Let's call it community diagnosing. EHT won't let you actually like— yeah, it's hard to get into it if you're distracted.
What the hell is— can you open this please, you art person? I have no idea how to make that work.
I'm not an art person, I'm just, you know, strong hands, dude.
Strongly what?
It was— we were on the wrong Oh, I was opening it from the hinge.
Oh, no wonder it wouldn't open. God, I'm glad I would have ripped it all off.
See, they're cheap paints.
They do, they do look cheap. I'm actually just— do you have other watercolors, right? Are those watercolors?
You can use them if you— if they work on wood. I don't know if they work on wood. Like, you know, the theory of this is you do each layer at a time. Yeah, but they wouldn't have given you the package if those didn't work on wood. I think we should give it a try first and Like, try the back first, and if you mess it up, it'll— you can cover it up.
Hey, that's a good point.
All right, because this is watercolor, and watercolor is for paper, really thirsty paper.
Everyone is telling me I should use acrylic, and I don't even know what that means.
This is not meant to be complicated. Acrylic, sure, but that's going to cost you some money, and it's going to be— it'll be opaque, but it might be like too forward. Like, look, look here at the individual pieces, like that, that one with the trees in it. Yeah, it's, it's meant to show some of the wood grain.
Yeah, that's true.
These— that is a form of watercolor, what you have there. They're just like paper, cheap, cheap.
Yeah, I recognize these from— Joe and Buzz both say hello.
Um, I don't know who Joe is, but hi, Buzz.
Silly Hilly says, I want to paint with Jocelyn.
Is that Joe Sipple? Sorry, I should—
no, I don't know, it just says, it just says Joe.
J-O? J-O-E?
J-O.
Oh, okay. I don't— hi, Joe. Okay, I'll come back and paint with you if you want.
No, um, Silly Hilly wants to paint with you, wants to do crafts with you. I know, Silly Hilly, you should just come over and hang out then. Yeah, it is very messy house. We'll, we'll pick it, we'll pick a time and Come and hang out with us. I can make— oh, guys, I can make my meal, my favorite meal, which is chicken banh mi sandwiches. It's a Vietnamese sandwich. And computer chimed on when I logged on to your live, maybe. Yeah. And there is a Food Network Canada program, and I am applying to be on that. It's like Home Chefs. I think I got a good job. I think I got a good shot at it, honestly, strictly because my wife is paraplegic. Like, TV looks for those stories, right? They want the whole, you know, they— whenever they did that thing with Ty Pennington back in the day, that show, there was always something. There was always some sort of, like, I don't want to say sob story, but some kind of sob story. Oh yeah, for sure, silly Hailey. Um, anytime. Just wait till we're not sick, cuz I would hate to give you— hate to give you something. Yeah, bad knees, amazing. All right, we're gonna do it. I keep saying this, so it's interesting. It came with a brush. But I guess they want me to use these instead because it also came with these. I got these at Islandish, by the way, if you're in Nanaimo. I do have water. Do you mean for the brushes or for my voice? I do have water here. Sharing is caring. Oh, silly, you have no idea. I think you'd do great on a cooking show. I think I would too. Like, I think that, yeah, it's a human interest story, right? Like, I think that I could be, I think that I could be, uh, oh, that's okay, Andrew, no worries. Um, yeah, I think, I mean, I think I would be entertaining enough, you know. I wrote the application to be fairly entertaining and they were interested, so we'll see. All right, so we're doing that red. Do I have to go over this in multiple coats?
Coats?
Is that the right word? Didn't you read the brush was for the glue? It was? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Oh, now I'm second-guessing. No, these are, these are paintbrushes. The picture, the picture of it is is it painting things, so that's fine. Why is the water green? That's the color of water in Canada. It's lime flavored up here. We have lime flavored— where do you think you guys get your lime flavored Kool-Aid from? And lime flavored Jell-O? Come on, everyone knows that. Make your upcoming Halloween costumes as a hobby. Do you want to see my Halloween costume? I will go get it. Hang on a sec. It's right here, in fact. Well, I have a picture of it. So I am actually known around town in this village for my Halloween. The year of COVID when COVID came around, Excuse me, I'm sorry. Uh, everything on me is undiagnosed, trust me. Um, so when COVID came around, no one— you couldn't even like stand on your deck and give kids candy, right? Um, so I built a machine. It sounded like a machine, it looked like a machine, but it wasn't. It was just me behind him. I concocted— made this big huge thing. I made— I got— I rented a smoke machine and a really big speaker, and I put a button that was a real button— I'm just gonna blow my nose and get this over with, hang on. And when they pushed the button, this thing that started— it made this sound. I sound designed it and everything that made it sound like there was a machine behind all of the apparatus that I had set up. And then there was a big long tube and I was behind the screen so they couldn't see me and I would just plunk the thing. It would roll down. They all loved it. It's— if you go to my YouTube channel and look for the playlist called Gaming/Fun, I did a little video that showed kind of like me setting it up and what the kids thought of it and all that kind of stuff. However, the last few years— is better. The last few years I have dressed up in my sparkly jacket. I have an incredibly sparkly jacket, all sequins, green. Like a game show host. And I made a game show on the deck. So I have a big spinny wheel— you know one of those di-di-di-di-di-di-da? One of those things. Chris this is— Jocelyn and I may have pneumonia we're not 100% sure that's what's going on. And then they would spin. Sorry, I know it's taking me forever to do. So they would spin the wheel and most of the prizes, most of the things were just, like, candy. A couple of them were double candy. But one of the slots is prize. And I bought a whole bunch of prizes. Mostly at Dollarama. But some big ones. Some that were like $20. And I had them on a shelf. Like a 3-level shelf kind of right beside it like a display. You know, like sticker books, art books, bracelet, sand castle kits, candle making kits, stuff like that. And so if they landed on the prize, they could pick from whatever prize that they wanted. But if the kid was older, I would play double or nothing with them. And then the wheel also had on every little tick mark, it had like a 2 or a 0, and I would spin and it would be And if they would land on— and I would say to them, now listen very carefully. We're going to play double or nothing. And if you win, you'll get twice the candy. But if you lose, not only do I take your candy away from you, I eat it in front of your face. And I would only do this to the older kids, of course. And then the grand prize was, I'd say, you could have any of these prizes here, and I would point to the shelf. Or you could have the grand prize. Would you like to know what the grand prize is? And of course they would say yes. And I said the grand prize is a framed autographed photo of me. And that's me in the jacket. That's basically what I looked like when I was doing it. Isn't that jacket cool? And kids would take this, like, I made 3 of them. Kids would take this, and it's autographed, naturally. I made it look like they were kids in— at a game show. So yeah, it was fun. I have fun on Halloween. But you know, we don't have kids because we have white carpets.
Oh, you're weird.
Oh, the wife doesn't like my jokes anymore, guys. All right, we're starting, we're starting the art, the art. What's wrong? What's wrong? What happened? What'd she do?
I put, like, almost a week ago now, put a paintbrush and paint for you to mark your headphones on your side table.
Yeah.
In the flurry of searching for your watch, the thing rolled off the ground, so she just chewed up your paintbrush.
Oh, okay.
A paintbrush. It's not a big deal, but in all that flurry Yeah, this is nicer than I thought it was.
Medic on the move, um, thank you. We are both still sick but a little bit better. We seem to be getting— yeah, we seem to be getting about 10% better every day. That seems to be what it is. The paint does look nice, doesn't it? I was like genuinely surprised. Um, I thought that it would go on and be like kind of, kind of kindergarten-y, but it's actually like a pretty—
I think it's meant to be kind of rustic.
Yeah, you're good. I just, I can't— I better not like double coat it. Maybe, maybe I should double coat it.
I don't know, just follow the instructions.
The instructions didn't say Well, I have to paint it. That's the whole point.
Well, here's my suggestion though. Wait till it dries.
Oh, okay. Yeah.
Do one coat and let it dry and then see if you like it. Paint looks so different when it's dry. Yeah. I'm like on a mission now. I'm like, did his watch end up in China?
Well guys, the issue is that I lost my watch and we know it's in the house somewhere, or we think it is, because the last, you know, the Find My Device thing, the last ping of it when it had batteries, it was in the house. So it must be, right? Yeah, this goes on like a lot. Look at this, like it's a lot more meaty than I thought it was gonna be.
Yeah, it'll be good. It'll dry a little bit later. But, um, yeah, you— these are very forgiving paints. Acrylic is not forgiving. Oh, you can do fast with acrylic, but it's very easy to have too much acrylic on.
So, oh, I'm being chastised for not having newspaper on the desk. Should I have newspaper on the desk?
I don't know how much we've wrecked this.
Yeah, we've wrecked this table already. It's fine.
And this is water-based paint, so yeah, whatever.
And now I show you Dresslyn.
Wait, wait, beauty filter.
You don't need a beauty filter.
No, no, look, look. Oh, you are a beauty.
Ta-da! And what are you making?
Um, I am learning to watercolor. This is the joy of my life. It's my, my palette. Um, and oh yeah, there you go, that's a good camera.
Yeah, right.
Um, and I'm learning with big girl paints now. These are like big girl paints. These are like not the dry kind but the tube kind. And my sister is a real artist, and we got a chance in Australia, we sat down I think for 3 or 4 times during the cruise and painted together, and it kind of got me interested in it again. We need carpal tunnel.
She's an amazing artist. Like, she's designed our brother's, uh, who owns a, um, craft brewery, designed a lot of his labels, and they are so good. They're so incredibly good.
She's one of those people that has like an artistic disposition. She just sees, and that's what is her passion. And so she has been like working at being an artist since she was really young. And, and so she's now like just innately a really talented artist.
Oh, you are being called queen and beautiful.
Thank you.
I try, I try. Oh, that's Silly Hilly calls you queen.
I didn't ask— hey, Silly Hilly, do you paint? And what kind of painting do you do?
Yeah, what— yeah, what is your craft? I think you said crochet was your— was your craft, but do you do any painting? Silly Hilly said painting. Yeah, come over, paint. So I assume that this is actually a really nice red too for maple leaf.
Like, this is an actual maple leaf red, and I'm like, someone thoughtfully put this together. Yeah, I think you can trust it. Um, Leah, I also knit and crochet, um, but I have carpal tunnel, so I have to be kind of careful about how much I knit and how often. And, um, man, if I could just quit my job and be crafty, I would be so happy. But my— I love my job, so I'm okay with that.
Silly Hilly says, "I can do any kind of painting, mainly for funsies. I don't crochet though." Oh, I thought you did crochet. I don't know where I got that from.
It's okay. Crochet's fun, but everything else is too.
Oh, Sarah Hand says that her craft is— their craft is wood carving.
Cool.
Which is really cool. I actually— that was one of the things on the short list that I wanted to get into.
I did some whittling when I— we went to the same summer camp, and whittling was a common craft. Can you imagine? Putting knives in the hands of teenagers nowadays. But when we went to art band—
oh yeah.
Are you looking at the— are you following the—
I'm doing my own thing.
Okay, I just— I was about to point out for you there's part of that layer has a—
this? Yeah, yeah. I'm doing mine green because it's weird that they did theirs yellow.
It's wheat.
Oh, but you do your own thing.
I thought whatever.
Maybe in my world wheat is green.
You're weird. Well, you could call it like a fern from BC or something.
Wood burning. Oh, Silly Hilly used to sell portrait sketches.
Wow, Silly Hilly, you are full of interesting layers. The dog always bugs me when I paint.
She's not bugging me. Maybe because she knows that there's no— I don't know.
Maybe she knows when mommy and daddy get together, you do things like that.
Exactly. I cannot come up with a joke fast enough for that, sadly. I was working on it though. Sarah, you know what? That would be lovely. Thank you. Just yesterday I got a PO box because because people before have asked to send, to send stuff my way or our way, and I've always said no because I didn't have a PO box, but I do now. So, so if you go to tap my bio link and scroll down that page, and you will find, you will find my post office box. You could be the first one because I just got it yesterday, literally yesterday. The dog wants to pay. The dog is afraid of what we get together and make loud noises. We'll just say that.
We'll just say that with me as I stuff a food toy for the dog so she'll leave me alone.
Yeah, I haven't mentioned the, the, um, PO Box in any videos because, because it's always Jocelyn pointed this out and I think it's true. There's always this like when influencers or whatever creators get— not all of them, but get their PO box, they make— they kind of make a big show of it. Like, look how important I am. Yeah, it's very cringy. So I'm probably not going to mention it, although we are thinking about doing a contest, um, just for fun, where we get— ask people to send us smallest possible— what would you say— trinket, souvenir from their town or city. The smallest possible will win.
Oh, and I think you should put it at the biggest is letter mail. It has to come in by letter mail.
Yeah.
Um, and that way, like, the thing I think of people like when— like us who have other jobs like, I think it's important that we keep in mind, like, we don't need people to give us money more than subscribing, right?
Yeah.
So I don't— I hate it when influencers are like, here, buy my $800 sweatshirt or whatever.
Yeah.
I'm like, if you want to, you know, feel more engaged and join a fun game, I want it to be something small that you don't have to worry about paying money for.
How well can you guys hear Jocelyn? I'm just using the mic off of my laptop, and if there is one thing that I hate, it is bad audio engineering.
Yeah, man, so much.
Because I know exactly how I would mic this, and this is not how.
With your device, with the little circle mics. That's how you do it.
She's quiet but audible. Okay, that's perfect. That's basically— that's basically the way I like her at home anyway, so that works out. Quiet but audible. Oh my God, I like to know she's there but not too much.
I'm trying to pick the dog up so I can show her to the people. All right, so people discovered that there's some food around.
Oh yeah, yeah. All right, people, people, what do I do with this, with this part? Is this wheat? And therefore it must be yellow.
Or is it weed?
Or is it weed? And therefore must be green.
That would be funny.
Yellow or green for this little part here. It awfully looks awfully like wheat. They're watching here on your TV? Oh, that's so weird. That's awesome.
That's cool.
But is it— okay, we have one vote for green. We have 1 vote for yellow. Ooh, I'm gonna give that a vote and a half because it's a pug. Millie the pug and Steph. So all pugs get an extra 50% voting power.
I don't make the rules.
Any more votes coming in? I see gold on Instagram. I see another yellow on Instagram.
Leaves of green. That's American, isn't it?
Leave yellow. Definitely yellow. Make the wheat— make the wheat yellow and the leaves green. That— but is that what wheat looks like?
I think it's all kind of yellowy colored, isn't it? We are not fairy people.
Whatever moves you. Art is interpretation. This whole thing would be purple if it were— if it were up to me.
Guys, you gotta make it accessible for Todd.
Yep. Wheat. No, wheat is all— wheat is all yellow. All right, yellow it is. Brownie yellow. Yeah, that's what I'm— so I'm gonna try and mix up like a little bit of— now do I need— can I just clean this off and use the same one, or should I get a brand new? Like, is this gonna be my red paintbrush now forever?
You need a very clean cup of lemongrass.
It starts green before it matures. I didn't know that. I feel like a very bad Canadian now. I also had—
I don't think we live in the prairies.
I also had an idea that I haven't told Jocelyn because she's going to remind me that I come up with a lot of ideas, and most of them are really bad ideas.
Not bad, just ambitious.
Overly ambitious. And impractical. Although that's what the infusion was the first time I ran it by you too.
I know, seriously people, you have to understand the extremely complicated position I'm in is that Tod does crazy amazing things when he can and wants to. And I— how can I say no when his track record is so good? Like, It's rough, man.
That's where my mug went.
No, it's right at the back of the mug shelf. Oh, you can't help it if you're disabled.
It's okay, I don't use it by your height. I don't use it anymore because I use the— oh, that's broke. No, I don't. That would be fine, but this was my favorite coffee mug for the longest time.
No, but it's literally broken right where you would pick it up.
Yeah, no, I pick it— I'm right-handed, I would pick it up.
You have the design forward. You pick it up like this, it's right where—
but I would pick it up with my right hand.
Okay, but I— you're more than welcome to try it, but I don't think it's safe.
Okay, so here I have— I have 4— 2 shades of brown. I have Diarrhea Brown and Solid Brown, and I have 2 shades of yellow. I guess this is orange. Correct that. This color is actually orange and not dark yellow.
The brushes they gave you are awful.
These are great for me.
Anyway, clean, and then when you just need water to like soup up paint, use the clean. And when you need to clean up your brush, use the dirty.
Okay. So can I mix these?
Yeah, you can do whatever the fuck you want. Let me bring you a plate so you can mix.
Ooh, a plate!
It's my special color mixing plate. I got it from the—
Hang on, I'm gonna go get it. I'm gonna go to get a Jocelyn can. Aww, you don't need a Jocelyn can.
I need a—
I need— thank you. Oh, this is good. This is too much stuff.
Uh, I'll get you a smaller one, a little dish of some sort.
Yeah, all right, I'll be back in 30 seconds.
I'm here with you still, I didn't leave you.
I don't think they can hear you from that far away though.
Hello people of Twitch, I'm guessing you can still hear me.
It's Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Oh, multi-streaming! Yeah, I know, this means your mom is watching. Oh God, I'm actually going to use a proper plate because I really don't think it will work well on plastic. And that kind of paint is water-resistant— water— water— it's water paint and it is washable. So I would just use a little.
Thank you. Okay, let's put it like there.
And, and just like with, um, watercolors, you take the plate is for like, I want a little orange and a little brown, and then you mix the that. That way you keep your paint—
Cedar suggests— oh, Cedar suggests I just use the lid.
Oh, that's a great idea. Yeah, yeah, very smart. Okay. Yay, Cedar! What a pretty name.
I have a—
I think Cedar's such a nice name.
I have a friend whose— her last name was Wood and his last name was Mansbridge, and they got married and they merged their names So they became— no, uh, Bridgewood. Bridgewood.
Oh, oh, really?
Yeah, DJ and Joey.
I did not realize that that was a—
her last name was Wood and his last name was Mansbridge. So now they're Bridgewood, and they named their first child— good night, Nerium. Nerium, I can't see. Uh, uh, Cedar is what they named their first. So yes, that child's name, who's now an adult, has Cedar Bridgewood.
That's a pretty name though.
And I just got re-in touch with them recently, and Cedar apparently has a child of their own, which makes me feel very old.
Oh yeah, no kidding.
Alright, we're gonna try and add the camera, which is right here. The Jocelyn cam.
It's fun to be part of it. You don't have to include me though.
I want to include you. I want to include you all the time, up until the point where you have too many lines and I have to begin paying you. Ah!
Dude, we share a bank account. It doesn't matter.
That's true.
Pay yourself, it goes to me anyway.
Well, you don't know about my secret bank account.
Come on, Cheryl!
Okay, so we'll call this CamDGW, which is her nickname, and no, I'm not going to tell you what that means. And it is this one. It's a very bad camera. Don't me. I am, I'm actually shocked that I was able to get this to work. So, hold on. I guess we'll do it this way.
Playing the churro guitar. Rubbin' the belly.
Oh, sorry people on, on vertical. Formats. I give you this. This will mean, unfortunately, that I will have to get smaller, but that's all right.
I can't say that on live.
No, you can say whatever that joke was.
This is what happens when you're married to basically a comedian for 11 years.
Filthy comedian.
I am seriously messed up. Hi everybody, this is Churro. She's a, she's a sweet little one. She doesn't like the cameras very much.
No.
What do you think, little furry baby with the bad breath?
Okay, let's try. This is all I was going to do.
Here you go.
Chill. Oh, oh, okay. Can you see I don't know yet.
It was on like—
I need tape. Can you get me that piece of tape that's on the thing?
Oh no, sorry.
It's okay, it's all good. Churro's name is spelled just like the Mexican candy. No, on the bag. See the bag? Or the Mexican pastry? Yeah, just because I don't wanna, you know. So it's C-H-U-R-R-O. She's from Mexico.
And she's long and cute. And she's kinda ginger colored.
Yeah. "Aren't you supposed to ask her permission just in case she scratches?" Are we talking about the dog still? I don't think— I think that came in before we showed the dog. Okay.
Oh no!
Where'd the camera go?
It fell off the thing!
Oh shit, okay.
Like, it dropped. It dropped right off.
Okay. Can you get it? No.
I see it.
It's alright, it's okay. I'll just pull it up from the cable. Perfect. Gib, you know what, I think it also— yeah, it also disconnected for some reason.
Well, thank goodness for all the people who are going to get motion sick from that.
Yeah. Okay, there it's plugged in, but I don't know why it's down now. Well, it's not working at all.
Maybe the thing came out of the end?
No, the end is hardwired. I'm gonna—
did this get tugged?
Maybe, yeah.
The little adapter is always a problem.
Yeah.
Thanks, Apple. All right.
Oh, there we go, there we go. Okay, and now what's this in the way? Is that my laptop? Yeah, it's my laptop. Move this over here. There you go, you got a Jocelyn cam! And I'm going to shrink it so that it looks better.
I make you very small.
That's what it— that's what I'm doing.
Look what someone gave me on the cruise in Australia, and my hair is obviously pink. It was brighter at the time. And she, uh, was giving them out to random people with like a little QR code to register it. And they were suggesting that, um, you take pictures of it around your travels, but it involved Facebook, so I was like, oh hell no.
Oh hell no. Yeah, we're not really on Facebook. I mean, I know some of you see me on Facebook, but The secret is that that is cross-posted automatically from TikTok.
So he doesn't even have to use it, which is nice.
Yeah.
Um, and I really, I, I was quite touched because I heard how crappy people were being to her on the cruise and it made me feel quite upset.
So, oh, it was the trans woman that gave it to you?
Yeah.
Oh yeah. And Were they being crappy to her?
Yeah, yeah, people were talking like aloud behind her as she walked by.
It's so fucking rude.
And she can't hide it. She's like 6'2".
Yeah, she's tall.
Really, like tall enough to hit the ceiling. And you can't fix that, right? Like, yeah, that's what— that's just what God gave you. And, um, anyway, so she's walked by me, and I introduced myself and chatted, and she gave me a little duck that matched my hair. It was very funny. Don't say that to toot my own horn, just that I was a bit shocked to hear like audible transphobia.
Yeah, no kidding. And in Australia too, like there's some countries I might expect it. Australia is not one of those countries.
I think they have, just like Canada does, they have their, um, I don't know, ignorant folks. Every country does.
We like to keep those people in Alberta.
No, Jesus. Sorry, am I wrong? I don't, I don't think— you make me nervous.
Oh yeah, okay.
I'm like, I don't know how we talk about our Old Country, though.
Is that the color?
What color is that?
The color of—
of what?
Of wheat.
The brown? The tan?
Yeah, you could.
You could do a little bit of yellow and a little bit of tan together. Okay, you can water one down and then put the yellow on top, or vice versa. Okay, or just, you know, done is better than perfect.
Yeah. Is that the color?
Okay.
What color?
Um, red.
I was worried because no one's chatting. I was worried that we were disconnected, that I had disconnected it, but apparently not. Oh, wait a minute, your, your camera is covering my head and we cannot have that.
Uh-oh, it's covering your head?
Yeah.
Oh, I see, I see. Do with No, it's not.
It's not working anyway. All right, a smidge more brown. Okay, brass. I haven't even used any brown yet. I've used— I've been using orange, dark brown, or— I don't know, I think it's like a light brown color.
It's just the quantity, right? Like a little bit with the yellow kind of thing.
Yeah, that's looking a little—
say in public health, the dose equals the poison.
That looks about right. Screw it, that's what we're gonna use.
Do it, do it.
That looks good, that looks good, that looks right. It might be a little— it might be a little too dark.
Oh no, it's the cat. Thanks, Otis.
Oh yeah, this idea that I, that I thought of today that I haven't told Jocelyn because she'll tell me that it's a a bad idea, and she's absolutely right.
The cliffhanger, what is it?
I thought what— and I actually like did some math on how much it would cost, but it would cost like $25,000. What the fuck? It would be going across the country. It would be renting an RV, going across the country, going to little towns and telling stories, making videos about the little towns. Sir. What? I didn't— did I not say that it was not— that I start. Yeah, what?
Since when have you ever liked a drive over an hour?
That is also why I did not bring it up, because I thought, this, this is terrible. This is a great color, mind you.
But you know that I'd be like, wahoo, road trip! And then we'd get to Port Coquitlam and you'd be like, get me out.
I'd be miserable.
Yeah, yeah, we could do it in like, we fly to one province and we do like little trips around for, for 2 weeks or something, 1 week, and then we go home. And then—
well, that's not a bad idea.
No, 3 months we do another little location.
And the—
and, and it would be specific to like a certain— like, I remember you told me you went on a road trip that was based on like— oh no, it, it was when I didn't know you and I was your fangirl. And you put out there that you wanted to go on a road trip on your website, and everyone suggested— oh no, it was on Flickr, and I mean the comments, we all suggested ways that, like, interesting ways to vacation. Yeah, in BC. And Graham and I suggested that you visit, uh, you do an A to Z of towns in BC.
Oh, and And that's a good idea, but hasn't BC Bob done that? Oh wait, stop everything, stop everything. Do I have to paint these red too?
No, no, no, it's layered. Oh yeah, look at here.
Right, right, never mind, never mind, I got it. Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah.
Well, this— that was like 2002 when we suggested that, so that was a good long time ago. Yeah, before BC Bob was probably in the workforce. Yeah. Anyway, so there are ways we can make it happen.
Yeah, I wanted— I'd like to do something. Yeah, I don't know what.
We could find a friend with a van and have them drive us.
But you're right, I hate road trips so much. The only one, the only one I, that I kind of somewhat enjoyed is during one of the election cycles like 20 years ago. The CBC put me on one of its news vans, news roving. Well, they were, it was an RV. And me and Mark Kelley and sometimes Ian Hanomansing would go, and we went from, I picked it up in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan? No, Manitoba. I picked it up in Winnipeg and we went west. That's too dark.
Did they have a tech nerd on board before?
Like, they— I don't think they really had a tech nerd.
Winnipeg, and then, then you joined?
I think I, I think I did not have availability. I think I was speaking or something. Um, oops.
I think that— I think there's ways to do it, but Like, when I road trip with my dad, it's like we might drive up to 4 hours in a day, or maybe like long— longer, but in shorts, short sessions or whatever. And then we'll have a like lunch in between, and, and then usually by the end of the first, uh, tranche of, of whatever, driving or riding, um, road tripping, uh, we've pissed each other off by about hour 4, and then we eat, and then we forget it all happened, and then we drive some more. And usually Dad will take over driving in the second session, and then I'll see him nodding off, and then I'll trade him back because that's my dad. He's a a little bit too good at napping.
I fucked this up.
How so?
Look, I have this one here is like, is like a black stain.
What's it on though?
Wood.
No, no, look at, look in the picture.
It's the, it's his foot. It's his hoof.
Yeah, but that's fine. No, you look at all the stuff around it, right? Yes, you can just make it a darker blue there, or, or just ignore it. Completion is better than perfection.
That's true.
There's progress over— there's a bunch of progress slogans for that. Um, but it is possible. Just, you're learning, you're having fun, right?
Yeah.
There's no, like, it's not a jigsaw puzzle where there's only one solution.
That's true. Let's get some synthwave going.
Okay, people, what— tell—
how many people are in the chat? There are 24.
Wow.
Plus Instagram has 15.
Okay, folks, tell us in the chat what your preferred form of recreation is. Like, do you have a hobby? Do you have a pastime? What do you do? Or what's your favorite road trip snack?
I hate it. Don't worry, it's coming off. That was a bad idea.
Agreed. Too many things going.
Yeah, okay, focus, focus. Do your art.
Well, I just know that you'll like distract yourself away from it and then you'll be like, I can't do art.
This is like art therapy.
You can do art, you're just distractible.
It's like when I was doing art therapy and they were like, art therapy? Yeah, concurrent disorders was one— that was one of the things. And it was like, they're like, what do you want to paint? I'm like, nothing. I want to paint nothing.
I do not want to be here.
No, I wanted to be there. It's just I had no desire to express myself in that way. They're like, well, do you want to paint? Do you want to paint a portrait? I'm like, of who? I don't know. None of this is entertaining to me.
Like, why did you go to that session then?
Just so that I was in a safe place and not drinking. Aww, Murphy.
At least you went there.
Yeah, you know, and it was almost like Sometimes they call it Day Talks. And there is a separate program in Vancouver called Day Talks. Hey, CDA fan, welcome.
CDA fan?
I don't know, that's what it says.
Canadian Diabetes Association?
I don't know. So I would go and I don't remember much of it, but I do remember— and every time they did the art therapy stuff, they would have a different method— not method, different materials. Like, one would be sculpting, one week would be painting, one week would be drawing, one week would be plasticine and shit like that. And I tried them all, and none of them were like of interest to me.
You were also sick and trying to recover.
I was really sick, yeah.
And you're a reason for being there was company and like staying not using.
Yeah.
And their— I don't know, what was their goal? That like it was to help you manage your mental health with the art? I mean, because that— it just sounds like your goals were different than theirs.
This green is coming off a lot different than the red did. This green is very like watery.
That's okay, that's okay. Remember, look, see, the way they did it was like a pastel blue, so you do whatever you want. Here, I will try and make this stand up so you can kind of see the approach they used. You don't have to use it, but they'll give you a little bit of a—
yeah, that's weird.
Sense of it. Oh well, I'm sorry I'm not entertaining This is supposed to be fun, so don't worry too much about it. Do what you can do.
It is fun in the sense that I'm not looking at a screen. I enjoy that.
Did anyone catch that? Not looking at a screen at all.
Oh well, I have to look at the screen for the comments, but—
Exactly.
Okay, but I'm not like glued to it like TikTok, you know?
Yeah, that's good. That's good. Good progress.
Yeah, progress.
What, are you by the door? I didn't see you by the door.
I kind of actually dig how, how it's lighter, to be honest.
How it's what?
Lighter. Like, it's not as— like, the red that this one did was like super red and like solid red, right?
That's kind of an opaque color. Maybe it's left the— maybe the green and the blue are a little bit more, um, sorry, more translucent. Some paint is just like that. I don't know really a lot about paint and pigment, but my art books always talk about it. Buffy was talking about it like it was just obvious, and I'm like, I don't—
I don't get it.
Yeah, that's okay, because to Thanks, Medic. Painting is like coloring, but it doesn't have the stigma of like coloring being for kids.
Yeah.
So I enjoy it very much. There's a little bit more like skill building you can do, I think, with painting. This dog may need to go out, so I will take her out.
Oh.
I won't be long. Okay. Can we go pee? Can we go pee?
Let's go! Let's go pee! Oh, this is the kind of stuff that makes me nervous, is the tiny little, tiny little bubbles. Okay, I'm not going to touch it anymore. Then we're just going to spread this out a little bit more. That one especially.
Artists have a thing they call the shitty first draft.
Yeah, well, that's this. If we live in the area, how can we get this art kit? Are there classes at McTavish Art School? I don't know a lot about McTavish Art School, but it does strike me that there are classes there. Their website is on the screen. It's mctavishacademy.ca. Um, yes, we got it. We got this in Nanaimo from the store called Island-ish, which I think only stocks Vancouver Island-produced products. And we got some dish soap there and some hand soap. And I got two t-shirts. No, one t-shirt. Yeah. Who cares about the stigma surrounding coloring with crayons? Do that if you want. Yeah, exactly. That's kind of what I'm thinking, you know, like, I— it doesn't matter to me if it's, if it's, if it's that. I believe I've just lost my Instagram, my ability to see Instagram people's comments. Hopefully they're Well, maybe I can see it there. There we go. Never mind. Yeah. So if you're in Nanaimo, you can get it at the Islandish store, which is— oh, darn. It's echoing. Hello, Merrick from Newfoundland. And that is in North Nanaimo, close to the mall that has the best Spy in it. I guess that's Central Minimo more than anything. Good thing about getting old is you just don't care what people think. That is so true. That is the best part of aging, is like you have no more fucks to give, and it's so freeing. You don't have to worry. Plus also, also not just like aging, but also like I'm in my last job. I'm almost certain I'm in my last job. I worried 10 years ago like, will I have to get a real job one day? Because I've had oddball jobs. I've almost always either been a freelancer or worked for myself. Even at CBC, I was essentially a freelancer. I was on contracts, year-to-year contracts. Um, and, and so, you know, if I'm gonna retire in the next, I don't know, 10 years, I'm not that old. That I feel like, um, I've— that I've done all the jobs that I'm going to do. And I was really worried about, like, I still— like, even when I retire, I still want to, like, whatever, 10 years or whatever, I still want to, like, bring income in. And maybe this whole Canada thing can do that because it is bringing income in. It's not a ton, but, you know, um, there's YouTube ads, there's people that subscribe on the platforms. That all helps. So, and it's good feeling like, does— I don't have to worry about like getting stuff in my resume together because I'm not gonna have— I'm not gonna have it. Medic, are you by any chance a subscriber? Because your icon has a little dollar sign beside it. And if you are, thank you. I'm just not— I'm still unclear what all these little indicators mean. All right. Well, this was an easy one. I'm going to call this one done. Maybe I should do a little bit more on the moose. Yeah, I'm going to do a little bit more on the moose. You are? Thank you! Okay, cool. Thank you, Medic. Thank you for doing that. Um, that's really cool. So I can ident— at least YouTube people I can identify. That's so cool. You'll be a YouTube viral sensation for ages. Well, it won't be for my singing, that's for sure. But thank you. I Hopefully I won't run out of ideas. That would kind of suck, but I don't think I will. Oh, this is a different color. Actually, that's okay, I don't mind. Jackson Pollock.
He talks about tiny little clouds. Happy little clouds.
Oh yeah, um, he, um, yeah, he always said that they're not mistakes, they're like happy little accidents.
Yeah, so, so true, man.
That was the one little boy. Thank you. Oh, Grateful Life just became a member. I— so it tells me that. That's so cool. Thank you, Grateful Life. Photography by Mark. I am— well, I'm kind of— I'm doing a kit. I'm doing a kit. It is a 3D art kit of Canada. This is it. And so far I've only done one of the— I guess I've done two. These are the— all the pieces.
This, this, um, watercolor book says that it is made with like the fancy 300 ppi. I forget what it's called. Um, but it is not absorbing water. Oh, that is okay.
Um, we are chilling out. Don't gild the lily. Less is more. Yeah, what does that mean? That sounds like something an art person would say to another art person.
Oh, gilding the lily, I think, means making an already beautiful thing— like, doing— going overboard.
Oh, right.
Uh, I think— I think that's what that means. I've— I've heard that phrase before, but not—
dude, my whole personality is going overboard.
Um, perhaps. Perhaps, um, what does gild the lily mean? It's not autocorrect sucks. Gild the lily means to unnecessarily adorn or try to improve something that's already beautiful or perfect, often making it excessive or even spoiling it in the process. For example, adding elaborate decorations to a beautiful flower would be pointless as its natural beauty needs no enhancement. Much like myself.
Much like you, baby. Much like you.
Um, I hate to see— fuck— think what AI thinks of me because my freaking phone autocorrects so badly that it makes me sound like I don't know anything.
Okay, I'm not gonna type that out more.
You can always just like paint it with a darker color and make it like a surfboard.
Now I've noticed another icon too that I don't understand, and this icon is on Facebook and it is on Dana's. Oh, maybe that's just Dana's, uh, icon. Is Dana— is your profile— it's hard for me to tell, but it looks like 4 people on a red carpet. Is that your profile picture or is that another indicator? Oh, Diane, I'm sorry, I missed your message. Uh, South Australia, nice. Oh wow, I do have some Australians.
That is a long way away from Brisbane.
Yeah. Hey, Zen Crazy Cats, thank you for following on Twitch.
Toronto to Vancouver, quite far away.
Sounds like a CBC show about small towns that are clinging to life.
Is that a real show? Probably. That would be a fun— that would be a fun thing to do. Yeah, although it would be kind of sad, I'm sure. I don't like hearing when shows or towns are closing. Yeah, but it would go with your Nanaimo Infusion print.
Yeah. I came over from TikTok because you are not reading the comments. I'm sorry, I see So I feel like I'm able to see the TikTok comments. You know what? I have not seen a TikTok comment in a long time since Silly Hilly said Jocelyn. Maybe we went off TikTok. Yeah, what happened to TikTok?
Does it like auto like kick you out after?
I don't know, but you're right. I'm not— I'm not— I have not seen— I don't even know how to tell if I'm live on— oh, I could switch to— burner account. No, I have to switch to one of the other ones, I think. Yeah, here. No, yeah, you have to do it.
Follow me. Just, um, Tod Maffin.
You subbed on TikTok? Thank you so much. Excellent.
Usually if you're, if you're live, it like shoves down my throat. Oh no, here, but it's stuck on the—
yeah. Oh no.
Yeah, there you go. Yeah, okay, so no comments.
Yeah, I haven't seen anyone from TikTok. So TikTok people, I'm sorry, for some reason it has failed. It is not showing me your comments.
Did you— I just made a comment. Did you see it?
Yeah, I haven't seen anyone from TikTok. So TikTok people, I'm sorry, for some reason I'm confused. Um, Zen, thank you, thank you so much. Okay, Kathy, no problem. Catch the remainder in the morning. Yeah, based on the speed I've been doing this, it'll probably take that long. It does help though, you know. So I, I think that there's a lot of— there's a lot of Instagram. I think I have the most subscribers. I feel like there's 85 or so. Um, Cherry Garcia logged on and I don't—
so I'm making this I'm gonna do the TikTok comments as best I can.
Okay, Still Standing is the name of the CBC show. Oh, okay, I just realized that.
Okay, TikTok, I got you.
We are manually looking at TikTok now because it for some reason has— is that better, my vertical people, my vertical friends on TikTok and Instagram? I made it so that it's good on TikTok. Yeah, all right, let me see.
I'm not good at doing things.
I didn't mean to touch that. Oh yeah, that's perfect, that's perfect, because the, um, because the thing— Silly Haley says hi, hi love. I'm sorry, I— it's not— I, I don't know why She was talking to me. I know she was talking to you. Hey Steven, I don't know what happened. Um, I'm sorry TikTok people, it's not showing me your comments. It says to open in Live Center, but then I won't be able to see Instagram people's comments.
It's okay, I got, I got you.
Okay, Jocelyn will be doing the Instagram people.
Miss Vicky He said, g'day, bloke. Sorry. Hello from the Copper Coast, South Australia. Copper Coast, is that anywhere near, uh, Perth? Um, Silly Hilly would like you to know she was talking to you.
I'm aware, I'm aware.
Sorry, sorry, it's a little marital competition. The problem is I have to watch myself on a video feed now and I'm like self-conscious about it because of things you'll say. No, I just, you know, I always feel like I look fat.
Oh baby, I know. This is not TikTok, you fucking idiots.
Hello and welcome to Cussing and Painting with Todd and Jocelyn.
No kidding.
Um, and the other— wait, South— wait, okay, Miss Nikki, you said on the other side of the country. I thought— oh, South Australia is Adelaide, isn't it? I'm sorry, I was clearly on the wrong side of the country. She called me sweetie though. I'm gonna choose to decide that sweetie means—
Silly Hilly called you love.
Very bright and well-meaning. Yeah, but maybe that's what it means in Australia.
Hello from Kingston. Hello, sharing your content now, my peeps are on board. Excellent, thank you so much. All right, we're going to do the first layer. There is the first layer. The first layer is complete.
We need an emote of the two of us together. I like that, that would be smart.
That is smart.
I'm, I'm going to try and put this closer to the video so I'm not always looking— or to the camera— so I'm not always looking to the side.
Oh, and Zen is a member as well. Thank you, Zen. Okay, see, now I can see— I have to have 3 different windows up. So window 1 is Instagram chatters. They're not talking a lot, although Just Call Terry says you're beautiful, and then someone else said just made peace with the fact that your wife is the real celeb. If you've only figured that out now.
The what? Why am I the real celeb?
Because you're better looking than I am, for one thing.
Um, silly, silly. You're like my hype, my hype queen.
So I have one window for Instagram, one window for TikTok, and one window for Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch merged together. So it's very weird.
Miss Vicki I'm gonna ask you to explain yourself on behalf of Australia. What is the deal with all of these? Because I really— I— we just came back from Australia and it was very fun to teach Tod about all of the abbreviations and names and smoko and all that stuff. It's hilarious.
My very first live. Well, welcome. I hope that we're not Boring and disappointing you. Uh, let's see, this is— I got excellent advice. Someone had pointed out that, um, that you, you can see through the— this here when you cover it over. Like, here, look, when you cut— when you do this, this— but see, behind, I missed.
Oh yeah. Well, the future layers might also do that, but like, I might cover it up, but it's probably better to just cover now. Yeah. Okay. Cypress, I'm joking. What are you joking about? Did I miss something? Um, Cypress, sorry, the space for comments here is so small.
Um, why does that look so bad now?
Jocelyn's cheerleader. Thanks, Billy. I love it. Hi, Queen. Um, Miss Vicki, you must be getting— because Miss Vicki just said, this is my first live. Are you getting—
I, I've got, I've got a TikTok window up as well, but it's just, it's not— it's different. If you ever get a chance to go to McTavish to do a workshop in person, totally awesome. Cool.
Where is McTavish?
It's in North Saanich, which is a very fancy way of saying Victoria.
No, anyone from Saanich would be like, get thee behind me.
It is Victoria. It's Victoria.
It's not. It's— Saanich is not. Saanich is like a mostly rural area between Victoria and, um, the— like along the Pat Bay Highway to the ferry terminal. And it's like horses and farms and a big dump.
Sorry.
Um, and little cottages and stuff. I know, Miss Vicki, it's, it's hilarious to me. Like, I love the abbreviation. Like, everything is like, oh, S or something.
Thanks, Michelle.
But Darla is very cute. And remember when we went to Brentwood Bay? That's in Sannich.
Oh, okay. Oh, thank you, whoever pointed that out. That is much better.
Cool, cool, cool.
Excellent. Now we move on to the scary one.
I'm really disappointed at the quality of my greens. Why do I have crappy greens?
You want to rent some green from me?
Rent? No, I have more. I have Is that acrylic? Yeah, yeah, I'm trying to get under your camera.
Well, there's a delay, there's a delay. Oh yeah, yeah, give it like 20 seconds.
That is, uh, sap green, and it's much nicer than I thought. It was one of the ones Buffy gave me while I was there. Um, Linda used to live in Nanaimo. Where you— what, what general area are you in now, Linda? Mix lime green and green.
Mix lime green and green.
I, I have a variety of blue greens, and that's my frustration, is I don't have a suitably just plain old yellowy green. Calgary. Calgary seems like the place a a lot of people want to be these days.
We're going to Calgary soon, aren't we?
At some point we're looking at— yeah, I have to go for work, and so we were thinking we might make a trip to visit, maybe New Year's. Friends, you gotta cover your mouth when you do that.
Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry.
It's okay, just give— everyone's giving you a dental exam.
Yeah, true. Thanks, Miss Vicki.
I agree for work. Feel a bit chuffed. We were chuffed you were with us.
Okay, where's the cheat sheet?
I had it here. You moved it. It's right there by your hand, like just below you.
Thank you. Oh, oh, so now this is— they're getting fancy. What the fuck they did with the couves? Um, yeah, they're like different colors. This is actually quite light. These are quite lighter than I thought they would be.
This is when I was showing you some of them are like, you want contrast, you want a little— yeah, it looks like you're going—
oh, what, what?
Okay, you've had it right. I was like, oh God, it's actually the other way. Um, yeah, they're using different colors. Contrast is important, but like, and notice they didn't paint the horns.
I saw.
Yeah, it's fine. You just use it as a general guide.
We feel the same way, silly. Like, when we were, um, yeah, when we were deciding, we, we wanted to move from Vancouver, um, and we had a spreadsheet for Victoria, Squamish, Kamloops, Nanaimo, and Nanaimo won.
And we're super happy about it. Super happy on the island. I'm so glad we didn't choose Squamish. Squamish is amazing, but man, they get the fewest days of rain of any, of any city that size in BC.
Linda, the—
what will the application be? It's just for fun. I'm learning to watercolor. Tod has been looking for a fun hobby for a while.
Thanks, Stephen.
We're just, we're just learning, having fun.
And thank you for the, for the things, the art coin thingies. And I see Miss Lish also gave some coins, and I'm sorry I didn't see it because it's being difficult, but Hello, Miss Lish. Yay!
Oh, see you, Stephen. Sorry we didn't hear—
see you.
Had fun.
To make the colors blend easier, put water on the wood, then on the paint. The two colors can blend easier, but how they blend could be unpredictable.
Oh yeah, putting the— if that's like watercolor, you put the water on first and then you let the water move the paint around.
That sounds terrible.
Like dabbing it in. It's— I don't know how it'll work on wood, but like, I— the, the downside, like, if it doesn't look the way you want, you just wipe it off and put it on the usual way.
Okay.
That's what I always— how I go. I'm like, what if— what's—
no, I already hate it. I already hate it. I already hate it. I already hate it.
Did you even make it wet first?
Yeah, I did, and I knew what was going to happen is it's going to start leading into these trees, which I do not want. You're in a detail work section, so yeah, I just kind of want like super light.
So you, you just need to water your paint down before you put it on. I put it on the lid thing.
Oh yeah, that's good, that's good. This is kind of what I want. And then if I— and then I can draw— once it dries, I can put another darker color on, right?
Yep, if you want to, but make sure you dry it first, cuz it can be very deceptive. Okay, this green is a lot more pigmented than I realized. Woo!
Oh, I like that, that's good. Took my first painting class a few weeks ago, acrylic. I'm not that good at it, but really loved it.
Nice. I would really like to take a painting class because I've been learning mostly from TikTok from YouTubers, which is great, and from books. But I want someone to like whip me into shape because I feel like I just— I get so enthralled by the colors that I just like keep throwing color at it and I'm not learning technique super well. I also— I'm not an illustrator, like I can't draw. Yeah, and So I feel like I'm cheating because I'm always using, um, pre-printed images designed for watercolor. Um, so I'm not ever like considering how you compose the image or how you reflect certain things in— I don't know— in your painting because it's already been done for me. So I feel like I'd love to take a class But, and I also don't want to make it— next week you can paint each other's nails. Don't tempt us. Um, I actually feel like I, I have a bit of an aversion to nail polish. I've done it for like fancy—
you do, don't you?
But I— it, it feels heavy on my fingers and I never get rid of that feeling.
And, um, because we needed nail polish recently to mark my earpods.
Some enamel for—
from your— but you didn't own any.
But what?
You didn't own any?
Yeah, because I got— well, it gets old after a while, and if you don't use it often, it gets gross and you have to throw it away.
Oh, it does?
Yeah. Um, but the, uh, I, I'm just not— I don't mind having my toenails painted because I can't feel it. But the— my fingernails, I just— it makes me, uh, bite my nails more. And that's, that's not usually why people paint their nails. Um, so that's kind of— I'm just weird that way. I'm— I, as far as I know, I'm not neurodiverse in any particular way, but the Sensi I should have had my nails painted this coming year. And Todd has had his nails painted once or twice for costumes and stuff. Oh yeah, when you know— oh yeah, that goth costume costume, um, when it was a queen theme, I think you also did.
Yeah, maybe.
I don't know. Um, we go to costume parties sometimes, which is weird because we're like the squarest people ever.
They won't be able to hear that.
I'm sure they can hear it.
Anyway, remember the microphone is like over here.
I know.
Jocelyn, having direction on how— Jocelyn, having the direction on how to start really helped me in the class. If you have a chance, take one.
Okay.
And then Dana says, acrylics make me nuts. They drive so fast and they're hard to blend. I mainly use oils except when doing sketching.
Ah, I'm, I'm just watercolor, but, um, my dad is an oil painter.
Silly Hilly, I do too.
I—
it's not a great— it's an anxiety thing for me, chewing nails.
Tod really does.
Um, I—
Silly Hilly, maybe if you could get gel nails, that would help. I don't know. Um, I, I totally thought Ellie was talking to me. Yeah, she's like, ooh, I love that green. She's talking about you. She likes you.
Oh, thank you.
Um, hello, user 185546530964. Welcome, my Apple sibling.
Silly Ellie's a mod too, so if we need to boot anyone, she can You are braver than I putting your earned gray hairs on camera. Lol. Well, you know, I mean, it's not—
gray hairs are hot.
Oh, wait a minute, it's— the camera froze. No, it didn't. Never mind, I was just— I was just not moving. Wow, that was dumb. Um, I want accuracy in it. I guess this doesn't really matter.
You were the one talking about coloring the wheat green earlier.
Yeah.
Do it. Do like, have your fun. Do the thing. You can follow exactly, you don't have to follow exactly. Just, just enjoy.
Jeralyn, no one cares, you know, like no one's gonna care what, you know, what, what about whether you have gray hair or not. Yeah, no, no one's gonna care. Neil Patrick Harris has gray hair now.
Yeah, he's lucky he's kind of blonde because that kind of makes it harder to see. Yeah. Um, I personally— Mod at your service. So I, I'll vouch for you. I think when you're really in love, like, it— you really don't— I don't notice that stuff, like, because, because it's It's the person we're kind of in love with.
You don't need hair, it's just to make you look even better. I have that French-Canadian arm hair though.
You do, it's kind of funny.
Okay, this eye should be—
I have this, I don't know what it's called, but this like waspy terrible moles. I hate them. And my sister, I didn't realize, had all those the same.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Like, it— and I— in the summer you see more people's actual forearms because they're wearing short sleeves. It seems like a— it makes me wonder, like, what's the genetics behind these moles? Because they're kind of, you know, it feels like a lot of people have this particular pattern. I don't know how anyone can see it, but like you know, 3 or 4 in this area. Mine are just bigger. But anyway, yes ma'am, mod at your service. I love it, love it. Hello Jonathan Suzuki. I don't want to— maybe that's creepy. Sorry, I'm—
yeah, don't talk to them until they say something.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, when they first join, I think they get creeped out if you— because it tells us your name when you join, and it has always creeped me out when I've just like— I've just wanted to hang out and people They're like, hi Todd! I'm like, fuck!
They're just trying to like make you feel part of it.
I know, I know.
Churro, come here. Bad things lie in that groove. Don't, don't pick at them, please. Oh man, we haven't eaten any dinner. What's my—
oh yeah, I already have dinner made. Oh wow. And by made, I mean purchased.
Okay, that's exciting. It's her Scottish DNA. I also have that even though I'm less than 1% Scottish. Well, it could be my, um, my mom's side of the family was all— is all Norwegian and Swedish, and my dad's side of the family was English, like Northern English. So there's a lot of back and forth over the Scottish border there, so Um, I guess it's possible I could have been some Scottish. I don't know, I just have like so many goals. I don't, you know, good times. Even though your PFP is pretty similar. What is PFP? Hi peeps! Oh, you're tad nice because you're Ukrainian. Oh, that is a whole other thing. I didn't know No, that's a Ukrainian thing. Ukrainians are usually so pale. Pale, pale, pale.
Uh, it's a cutthroat world in the card making community.
Yeah, that shows how like out of the loop I am.
I got to show you these cards I got.
Oh, I got more green. Oh jeez, there's so many greens. Thank you, Buffy, wherever you are.
That Leo, perfect.
Um, I, I think this— my nose is so stuffed up. I think I— this is allergy time, is my guess. I have— I'm going to show you on the thing— olive green, viridian, and yellow green. So it kind of looks to be like lime, really, just like what you suggested. These are some of the ones when I said my sister gave me.
Can you please move this forward?
I may have put it in the back. Oh yeah, sure. I don't know if anyone can see them. No, I am like messing— oh, there we go. They look— that middle one looks really almost teal, but it's not. Um, Tod— Tod is—
That's right. That was— that— you are right. This was— this is— it was called Well, after Expo it got called Science World, and at Expo I believe they called it Expo Center.
Really?
Yeah.
I just remember them talking about it as it was the same kind of dome as the one in Disney World. Oh, maybe there's a special name for it, I think.
All right, so Islandish has got the coolest little—
what? Thank you, Gibi.
Thank you so much.
Gibi, do you like to have your bezel on the top like that?
Yes. Yeah, so here they are. Thank you, Gibby, that was lovely of you.
What did you— what did Gibby do?
Gibby gave—
you two are fantastic TV. Who are you? All right, I, I appreciate all compliments.
So it, it's a pack of cards like Magic, like Magic cards or Pokémon cards that you collect. It's a pack, but it's all Vancouver Island. So, oh, thank you. So let's see what we get. We got the Kinsol Trail. They're really beautiful. They've done a great job of them.
I don't think they made them though. They got them.
Well, yeah, yeah, they get— they have someone, someone on the island does it. We've got Tofino Surfer. I've got an Nanaimo Bar.
The Kinsol Trestle reminds me of the Long Dark.
Got a cougar, the animal kind. Whiskeyjack, which I did not know that was what the bird's name was.
Watching TV, that sounds weird, but—
Black-tailed deer, great blue heron. And there's 102 of these cards, I think, and then Um, that was it. And I think you're guaranteed at least one like uncommon or rare. And the uncommon or rare one in this— it looks like I got two. It looks like the Nymobar and Kinseltrea.
Anyway, aren't they cool? That's funny.
I just wish that they had like numbers on them so that you could make a game out of them in some way.
You can always mark them up yourself. But oh, oh, everyone I have, um, I have a question. So our niece is coming to visit and she's— she lives in the rural area west of Montreal and she wants to see some city stuff, so we're gonna drive her down to Victoria and she's gonna spend time in Vancouver with my dad. Um, but what would you take a 16-year-old to see on the island? What's your, uh, what would you recommend specifically Victoria, but also elsewhere? We're gonna go to the Malahat Skywalk though, for sure. Um, supporting fighting the administration currently in power in the US. Cool, thanks. I'm just riding Tod's coattails, so Um, I don't— but it's been a fun 6 months.
It has. It has been both a fun 6 months and a hard 6 months.
Oh yeah, poor Todd's had like more health stuff going on.
I have.
Than, than the whole like 13 years we've been together. Yep. I don't, I don't— I can't tell if Dan would respond to on the other platform.
Oh, sorry.
Um, no, they don't love me.
Governor's Castle Mansion, if she likes history.
Oh, the one in Victoria, the Lieutenant Governor or whatever. That's— we went there with Tod's mom a while ago. Oh yeah, we toured her around. It was It was kind of hilly in places, but we didn't go inside. There was some kind of booking, so we weren't able to go inside, but we had a good time. And we're— we were thinking Goats on a Roof, and then she's like, oh, I've been there. I'm like, shut up, no you haven't. Um, she also wants to have good sushi and let— get this the best sushi she's had is from a freaking gas station. What are they doing to children over there? Yeah, so we're gonna take her out to some of our good sushi places. But if you have a sushi preference on the island, also drop that in the comments. Or in Vancouver, because that's another— I actually think the sushi in Vancouver is probably a little better. Um, because it's not super easy to get sushi fish here.
Dana says, Craigdarroch Castle, Government House, do a ghost walk or daytime tour with Discover the Past. Past, they are all so good. You learn some super cool fun stuff. Bastion Square and Chinatown.
Nice. And then some sushi recommendations. I will look that up. Thank you.
I just want to go to the miniature world. I know it's corny and it's, it's very corny, but I like it.
I kind of wish the wax— speaking of corny, I wish the wax museum was still there.
Oh, is it not?
I think it's gone now.
Yeah.
Hello friends on TikTok, just telling you we love you, we see that you're there, feel free to comment. We— it's just like a multi-platform stream, so we haven't forgotten about you. Oh, that— why does that show up as a such a beautiful foresty green color? But that one on the bottom of this row of greens, but it doesn't, um, if everything else I'm doing does not look like that, it always shows up up is kind of, I don't know, bluey. I gotta remember, maybe I put it in the wrong side. I think I did. That's what I did. I was told when I made my, um, my palette that I was supposed to put the cold, like the cool colors on one side and the warm colors on the other, but I think I put— oh, you can't see— I think I put one in the wrong spot. Let's see if it's more visible in a second.
Uh, what should we do for dinner?
Um, we can stop and eat. I don't know, what do you guys think? Is it gross to eat on the street? Um, I just realized I put this in the wrong side, so I'm just gonna put this here for now. Oh sure. Oh, is it from that place? Oh, that's cool. Thank you. They make such big Qualities Foods.
Oh, was it Qualities Foods or was it— yeah.
Oh, is this from Qualities Foods?
That's Qualities Foods.
Oh, nice.
No, no, it wasn't that other place. That other place is small meals too, and they didn't have any like full meals except the ones that I got.
I really enjoyed the one last night. We've been so sick, you guys, that— oh, silly, I'm back. I was watering my tomatoes. What a great excuse. You're knock yourself out. I love it.
Um, I want to grow lettuce or something.
We could— we're a bit late. We could still probably grow lettuce now, but we should totally do that if you're willing to like put it into our food.
No, Miniature World is in the side of the Empress, right? That's been there forever. It's been there like 30 years. Wax Museum is gone, and there's a bug museum. Fuck no.
Oh yeah, I heard about that.
I have a Fuck no.
Tod is not a bug person.
No, not interested. Bugs, bugs and flamethrowers, the only things that—
flamethrowers, but the only thing you do with— they're voluntary tomatoes. Well, are there involuntary tomatoes, like accidental tomatoes? Okay, I think, I think I did that right, and that does not look like a worm. None of those look worms. Maybe the—
I would be okay with shutting the stream off and eating our noodle food.
Um, I'm, I'm up for whatever you guys want to do. Um, I, I feel weird eating in front of people. Well, we can switch off. Okay, we might take a little break or, or shut down for the night, but, um, I hope Todd notices if someone's responding.
Can you look on your side?
Oh yeah. No, it just says your tomatoes last year decided to be tomatoes this year. I didn't think that was a thing. They're so finicky. I can't even get them to grow at all.
Oh, Instagram people, I'm so sorry. You've been talking and I didn't realize that I had to scroll down. I don't know why Instagram makes everything so difficult for me. Oh my gosh, you guys, it also doesn't help that they— ah, more kinds of beetles than humans.
And like, what, there are more types of beetles than humans?
Yeah. And what you're eating, uh, it's a a turkey dinner, a big turkey dinner from Quality Foods because I'm too sick to cook still. Um, Catherine says, thank you for your reporting. Today's is so inspiring. Thank you so much. I'm really glad you like it. I'm glad anyone pays attention to it because stuff I wanted to say. Good, good boy George. Qualicum Beach at low tide, go to the farmer's market and make a day of it.
Oh, that's a good— that's a great idea. I love— what do you do at low tide though? Part of the struggle is I'm in a wheelchair, so beaches and I are rarely good friends.
It's 3:50 in the morning in the UK. If I go back to sleep before you finish, can you please post a picture of the finished product? Absolutely. It's not gonna happen today, I guarantee, but, but I will. I will definitely post a picture.
To come back to Tod's account and like ask him if he's finished it.
Thank you, Grateful Life. Thank you. We, we hope we are too. And thank you for being a subscriber.
Gosh, thank you everyone for being in on this very chaotic—
this is a weird project.
Yeah. Hey Bill, you're the guy who sends me videos all the time. Oh, thank you. I hope you feel better soon too. We are getting better a little every day, but it's— it's— neither of us have ever had a cold this bad.
Nope.
And he says thank you for your fantastic videos.
Oh, you're very welcome. It's— I, you know, I do them because, because it's fun to— it's, it's nice to have, um, people who, who actually, you know are interested in what you have to say. It's nice.
And Hilly, you should come over for dinner sometime soon.
Totally.
And we'll, we'll do crafty things and make friends.
Parksville Beach has an accessibility mat to the ocean.
We got a few of those here in Nanaimo too, but we're gonna go up to Parksville because they have a nice boardwalk to walk around on the beach. So, maybe she would— I bet Mara would take, um, Cheryl onto the beach. Because that is not going to happen with me.
Dana says, "I bought your book. It was awesome." Thank you, Dana. Aww. And the book is free. I don't think it's online anymore. I think I took it down. But thank you for— there was a spot for people to donate if they wanted to. And some people did. So thank you, Dana. I'm really glad you liked it.
That's really kind of you.
If Australia couldn't kill you with the critters, they'll get you with the viruses. Yep. I actually think that—
that's what it seems like.
I actually think that it's because we had not been exposed to those particular bugs before. I think that's— I assume that's why you feel that way.
Yeah. Are you meaning like, are we hanging up on the feed, or are we gonna hang up the art project?
Silly Hilly is willing to cook for us.
Even—
oh my gosh, Silly Hilly just signed the paperwork, become our sister wife. Deal done.
Easy stuff he's willing to say on the internet. Um, oh, there we got— we got little hearts in there. Art project. Okay, since with yet. Um, I think so. I— Tod has an office downstairs, and I think once he's done, he might put it up there or up here. Like, we have kind of a chaotic wall, uh, shelf unit thing, and that's where his other— I don't know if I can show you. Tried one of those little book nook things, and that's where it has lived. I'll show you. It's kind of This is a weird way to show somebody what it looks like, but, um, keep in mind you're looking like at it in a weird arrangement. But, um, he's— so it'll probably go up on the wall. It's sort of— it's kind of three-dimensional.
We'll get you a ring, don't you worry. That'll be the easy part. Easy part.
Um, so yeah, we probably will put it up. I'm, I'm just doing kind kind of like a watercolor coloring book, so none of that's going to go up on the wall. That's how I used to spell it when I was in my teens or 20s.
Whoa, here's the dinner cam.
Sorry guys, that is really the dinner cam. That's so funny. At least no one— like, that's a way to do it. It's an impromptu mukbang, everyone.
Oh God. Did I enjoy putting the book nook together?
You did it. Like, you finished it, and you did it over a series. Like, you seemed to enjoy it. I did.
I mean, I streamed it all, so I had people to share in the misery with. The problem— I liked the work. The problem is, the only part I didn't like about it is that it was too small. It was too small. I wanted— I need, like, the scale that's, like, the next scale up. It was too small. But there were parts of it I really enjoyed. I just didn't enjoy the ones that required any level of dexterity. What?
I just saw myself on the replay.
Oh.
Putting, like, shuffling food.
You want me to turn your camera off?
No.
I can turn your camera off.
Yeah, you can turn it off.
You're off. And in fact, I think I can even make a new scene which is just basically me. Hang on, we'll be right back. Don't— Walking Vancouver Island, thank you so much! From Tod's friend Joanne. Joanne, Joanne, is this Joanne? I'm not gonna say your last name, but is this Joanne H? 3-syllable last name. Okay, hang on, we're gonna, we're gonna do a—
oh my gosh, the, um, stuffing is really good.
Yeah, this is—
they—
Quality Foods has got a good— it's got a couple of good things.
There are all kinds of, um, just tap, tap, tap, silly Billy. There's all kinds of book nooks like all kinds of kits. There's ones with, um, kind of— there's like, like the top one Tod did has, uh, lighting in it, which is really cute. I actually think it's a really smart thing if you're okay, if you're good with razors and, and tiny scissors and forceps and stuff, then you'll be fine because it is a fair amount of it is like cutting very tiny pieces of wood or paper and gluing it together. So as long as you can navigate that, then you'd be fine.
That is the Joanne. This is, this is Joanne from AYM, I think. Joanne, is that where you're— we met at AYM, right? Like, you're old school. Like, we go, we go back.
Did you just call her old?
I call— I said I called the relationship old school. Different. Like, I think— did Did we not meet it through AYM?
No worries, Bill.
Damn it, it did it again on Instagram to me. I fucking— why can't Instagram just play nice?
Also, um, they do come in larger versions, so I think you are safe if you like— if you are like our age and you need a little bit bigger instead of small, small, small pieces, you can look for larger model sizes. So that's what Todd was thinking of doing if he had stuffed it up.
Yeah, and I have another one. I just need to get— I need to get off TikTok is what I need to do.
I think that you can do that one in the winter when there's less outside Turkey dinner slaps.
It does.
Quality Foods prepared meals are pretty good, I gotta say.
Oh, so I have a new project that I will tell you folks that I have not— I'm not going to talk about publicly on a video. I am going to be going around to many grocery stores perhaps starting tomorrow, but certainly over the course of the next week, and measuring how many— what percentage of American produce they have on display, like out, out in their store. Through a mutual friend whose name is the name of a month. Oh, okay, you got it.
Really? Really?
Through— well, April, we can say. I don't think that's going to give away anyone. But that's it. Yo, that— if it's through April, that's even further back than April. Well, I guess April was AYM. April is absolutely the archetype.
Um, it's like, hello, wife, I know you only because you are the archetype.
Oh, thank you so much, Half Shell. Thank you, Half Shell. Life on the Half Shell 2.0.
Oh, that's cool. I don't know what that means, but it sounds fun. Are you in the The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
Wait. Let me finish this thing because I always get too distracted. So I have two counters. So just click, click, click, click, click to count all of the things. And I'm going to do a measurement of all of the major places plus Superette and a couple of the other ones and be able to report which one has the least and which one has the most amount of American produce per— by percentage.
I think we'd probably have to do like a small— because Superette is a tiny little grocery store.
But it's going to be by percentage, right? It's going to be number of USA divided by amount of—
Totally Canadian trip. That's exactly what I was thinking. Here's in the half shell.
Turtle power.
Hey, Grip!
Grip is— um, you might— I don't think you're really on political TikTok, but Grip is, um, Grip is, uh, one of the, one of the people in that, in that crowd.
Oh, that's not, um, I mean, my kind of blast, but I'm on the— but wow, the drama. Anyway, next to me Thanks, Michelle.
Thanks for being here. Yeah, so that'll be a cool project. And basically, basically, I want to stick it to them.
You want to keep it on the agenda?
Yeah, I want to keep it— exactly, I want to keep it on the agenda. Plus, I also want to know where to shop and where not to shop. You know, like, I have a feeling that Country Grocer is better than Quality Foods. They're both BC-owned, but Quality Foods, to me, it felt like they were letting in more American produce than Country Grocer. But I'm— but I don't know, maybe that's not true.
I found it the other way around. Um, not that I go as much as you do, but the Quality Foods seem to have more signage saying Canadian items than, uh, Country Grocer did last time I was at Country Grocer. So I don't know. Yeah, and Quality Foods I know is part of the, uh, Quality Foods is part of Loblaws, I think. Save on Foods, it's the Save on Foods one.
Save on Foods.
Pudding. Yeah, maybe a grip. Yes, we are, um, slowly recovering, um, and, uh, that's been fun. Not—
but this is the longest lasting cold I've ever had in my life.
And Todd had— Todd and I both had COVID last November. Yeah, and that lasted 3 weeks for Tod. So this is like— and I don't think it was that either. Well, not— it was bad, but it was mostly exhaustion. Yeah, for you. But that we have had these like, um, what do we call them, um, airway respiratory virus. Yeah, I think we got RSV.
Oh God.
And it's— this is the longest and most difficult respiratory virus we've had. And I'm— I don't think I'm particularly high-risk. You are maybe a little because your asthma, but anyway, it wiped us both out. I mean, I had signs of pneumonia, and so they— which I've never had before— and they gave us both antibiotics, assuming that Tod's been a day behind in the symptoms since it started. They would— they were thinking, well, he might get it tomorrow.
I don't think I have though.
No, but you know, with long COVID, it makes it harder.
Yeah. Hello Jennifer, thank you for dropping by.
Canadian Grip, where are you from? Like what province? Sorry, from BC. Oh man, I am not a stuffing person, but that is good stuffing.
I love stuff. Stuffing is, is like in the top 3 favorite foods of mine.
I know.
How can you not? Warm, salty, moist bread.
I find most of the time it's totally tasty.
Tasteless.
Oh, you're not? I'm not into it. But how does this one rate in comparison to others?
Let me check. Well, this is the standard. This is probably Stovetop, actually.
But it's got— it's buttery and it's got herbs and it's got cranberries.
This is Stovetop.
It's so much better than any other I've had.
Um, I saw Bill Cosby in concert. What? What?
Knitting Grip, you're gonna have to explain that.
Um, they said, oh dude, I love stuffing, Kelly.
Oh, maybe I put the A in there. Because of my content, I tend to leave it at I'm from Canada. Part of my lore is Hans Island though. And is Hans Island not the Denmark, um, Canadian Denmark Island? I'm confused. I plead, I plead cold medication. Hmm, my brain's not working. I worked like half days at work this week because I was so tired, and, and I'd get to like 11:30 a.m. and I would be like, like gasping. Thank God that's over. Grip is from Hammonds Island. Really?
Not really. That's the the lore. I love that.
I know nobody lives on Hans Island.
It'd be cool to have a lore. I like the idea of lore. Um, yeah, it's literally just a rock.
It's like an icy snowy rock with alcohol.
Instagram people, I'm so sorry, it's being— watching from Brisbane, thank you. Angie, Waterloo, Jennifer, nice. The problem is that insta— so The program I'm using to hit all of these channels at the same time will let me see Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch and TikTok comments all in one window, which is convenient. For whatever reason, Instagram refuses to join the party, but you know, Instagram gonna Instagram. Um, it doesn't really surprise me that they're being weird. And then for some reason it just stopped doing TikTok, uh, comments as well. So no, it is—
we have TikTok back.
Well, you— because you manually— but it's not like in the mix.
Yeah. Um, does— how do you connect it on Twitch with— because in Twitch don't you have to specify what type of stream it is?
Yeah, you do before you go live.
Yeah, I used to do sewing streams, or I did a couple couple on Twitch, um, where I was like sewing clothes and like cutting fabric and stuff, but it was so slow. Like, it made the whole process of actually making the items slow, so it made it— I just was like, I want to finish this project, so I stopped doing it.
Yeah.
Grip says yes, it is. It was something someone else started as anonymity for my location. Fair enough, fair enough. I get— I, I get like, that's why I never ask anyone like specifically where they're from, because I figure not everyone wants people to like figure out who they are, where they— their home is. Like, people are kind of crappy on the internet.
South Australia, welcome!
Is that our friend from—
I don't think so. Natalie, I don't think—
I don't think—
well, this was originally an art stream. I was making some arty things. Um, but we realized suddenly that we hadn't eaten anything pretty much all day, in my case. But, um, I have so many Australian fans, it's great.
That was amazing.
That was really cool. It's like it got on there because I intended to just talk about Australia to my Canadian people. I didn't expect— but I think because—
go back to Australia.
No, we gotta hit up a different country now.
No, no, no, we have to go back.
We have to spread this like a virus.
People are so I can see my sister again. And we'll get them to meet us in Sydney or something.
When my first month of going on creation, Maga tried to dox my— look, oh my God, what the hell? That's crazy.
That's ridiculous.
Walking Man says, I went to London last September, got sick. Went to Vegas in December, got sick. Went to Quebec in May, got sick.
What is this about? Like, are we like officially circulating so many viruses in this globe that we can't— there's nowhere to hide?
In South Delta. I grew up in Ladner, by the way. So, um, South Delta is what the fancy people call Tawasin.
I'm like, I love how you call it South Delta. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Tawasin is lovely.
That's the fancy people call it Tawasin. Uh, I also have a massive cold Oh, I'm sorry, Angie. Hot and humid in Ontario. It's not here really. It's, it's actually, it was quite temperate today. It was nice today.
By the Colbert treatment, do you mean like cancel? Canceling?
Yeah.
Um, that's so weird. I don't understand.
People are strange. Um, I I'm trying to make my content uncancelable. Like, who's going to cancel me because I say Canada is great?
Well, yeah, but then there's folks who want statements on everything from everybody, and that's why. All right, on a different note, I can't believe— I've lived in BC my whole life, and I can't believe that I did not know that White Rock was its own city until like last fall. Can you believe that? You were tanning in your backyard? You're crazy.
Until 7. Yeah, it's, it's lovely here.
Yeah, but cancer, man, you gotta protect yourself.
I've been Ladner, moved here. Dude, no one from Ladner calls themselves South Delta. Come on.
But everyone in Ladner wants everyone to know that it's like farmland.
Oh no, no, I think what it is is I think they want to have a distinction between North Delta. Yeah, because the North is basically Surrey. North Delta is essentially Surrey. And North Delta people call themselves Delta, which always pissed me off because there are 3 communities in Delta, thank you very much. You don't get to call yourself Delta. Delta is the municipality, and there are 3, like, townships. No, but governmentally they're all the same It's like Vancouver calling itself British Columbia all the time. No, you're in British Columbia, but you are not British Columbia.
No, but, um, Delta as a municipality is all of those three places.
Yeah, but what I'm saying is the North Delta people— when you ask someone from Ladner, where are you from? They say Ladner. Tsawwassen, where are you from? They'll say Tsawwassen, unless they're fancy, they might say South Delta. You ask a North Delta person where they're from, They will say Delta.
No, Delta are— North Delta people are Delta supremacists. Delta supremacists? They think that they are— they like— I work with a lot of lovely people from North Delta, but to them that is the only Delta.
Uh, interrupting what you're saying because Angie is saying something nice about me.
Okay.
Well, that was easier than I thought.
Whatever.
I loved your book. That description of the Canadian cocktail was epic. Thank you very much, Angie. I'm glad you liked it. No one knows where Ladner is. The South Delta works. That's probably true. Oh yeah, this is absolutely true. Everyone in South Surrey says they're from White Rock. Yep, 100% true. Everybody.
But to me, I thought that meant that White Rock was part of Surrey. Australia and White Rock were the same thing, and they aren't. I didn't realize it was— it's its own municipality.
Um, through my lens, we are missing Australia quite badly. We— I really liked Australia.
I have to say, Australians, I've been to Australia now 3 times, and, um, Brisbane twice and Melbourne for 3 months, um, the third time, and I, I'm so impressed with your, uh, it seems like you have a cultural interest in, uh, design and architecture. That is weird because from Canada you just don't really have that. There's just nothing other than like historic buildings that have nice styles. Like, I went to a university in BC in Canada that was known for its brutalist architecture.
Oh yeah.
So it's not, um, like, there's not a lot to say that's noteworthy about architecture in Canada, in my opinion. Um, but in a short amount of time, I've been in 3 different Australian cities. You guys are way ahead of us on that. And, and I kind of love that Australians don't take themselves too seriously.
Yeah. I'm turning your camera back on.
Okay. Uh, Grace says, when are you gonna post the video about getting interviewed by the Chile summer camp?
Oh, I forgot about that. I forgot. Thank you for reminding me. I completely forgot about, uh, about that video. It's not much of a video, but you know, like, it's not very long. I mean Um, but yeah, that's— that is a good point. You're, um, I should do that.
Project video is off.
I know, on purpose.
Okay. I would like this to be a Jade plant.
Oh, we would love to keep coming back. We would love to keep coming back.
Somebody needs to, like— I don't know that we could do that frequently unless we were in— this sounds terrible, but this is class. Because man, that's not an easy—
that flight sucked. Yeah, um, yeah, that flight was awful.
Um, I mean, we survived it only by the, the tender mercies of the Air Canada crew who were amazing.
What's funny is that it wasn't that bad on the way there. For some reason, I didn't find it nearly as bad on the way there than I did sick.
We were both so—
not on the way there, way back.
No, that's why it was worse on the way back.
Yeah, maybe.
And we were sleepy, right? We, we got on board the plane at 11:30 PM.
Yeah.
Rather than at 10 o'clock AM.
Yeah.
So, and the jet lag was way worse on the way there. I forgot that I was thinking of jet lag coming back from London, and that is always worse on the return than on the way there. Whereas in Australia, on the way to Australia, I think it's worse than the return, which makes sense because you're going the opposite direction.
Is it a 17-hour flight? It's 15 hours.
It— you no longer have to stop to refuel in Hawaii, so that's handy.
Yeah. All right, I'm moving this. There we go.
Willow Skyler says, are you guys feeling better? We are a little bit better. Um, I believe it or not, this is my— like, I've only coughed like maybe once an hour, which is awesome. I'm like not super— like, compared to the last 2 weeks, that's amazing. And, um and I'm not even taking any cold meds. Um, and, uh, I'm still having congestion in my nose a little bit, and I think both of us are feeling a little tired. But Todd's— poor Todd has a respiratory system that has never worked super well, so that is very true. He, he struggles a little bit.
I struggle a lot. Yeah, I'm also a bit precious though when it comes to like everything. It's true, I don't mind saying it, it's absolutely true. A little bit precious.
I mean, I gotta say, I, I think for with most things I am not so precious, but it's, you know, I think for you, Todd, you didn't have a lot of medical issues. Yeah, in your adulthood. Yeah. So when you like a double— yeah, applications, I think, I think it was like, but why? I'm like, welcome to my party.
Yeah, how things work.
I, I'm in the hospital regular outpatient treatment. 3, 4, 4 times a year at least. At least if I count them all separate, it's 7 times.
Uh, you lost the image of your—
of—
yes, I know, sorry, it— that camera is really picky for some reason.
You lost the image of your wife when you moved the mic?
When I moved the laptop, it shorted out again.
Okay.
I don't know why I did that.
Hello, I'm Jocelyn if you haven't met me. Um, I'm, I'm on TikTok at Jocelyn Hacks.
Jocelyn Hacks, yeah.
Um, and I'm not on the other ones. You can find my Instagram, but I don't use it, and I'm not public on Facebook. Um, Oh, chill out. I think she hears the dog downstairs.
Oh, that's absolutely—
see you, Bill. Thanks for joining us. We're just like messing around now. I— you get bad sinus infections that lead to ear— oh, I hear you. Tod's had really bad ear congestion. I can totally see how that would end up with ear problems.
Yeah.
I, I have had more sinus problems since we moved here than I ever had when I was younger. But I moved here, I think I was 40— no, 38. Yeah, I think that's when a lot of stuff changes for women. So I wouldn't— it's hard to know if it was like moving to the island or where I'm just getting older.
Sorry.
Oh, Jocelyn hacks on TikTok.
Thank you. Yeah. And then, and then through all of this, I have, uh, apparently severe sleep apnea. So I have to get a, I have to get a thing. It does suck.
Sorry about that. That's not what you want for Tod in German means dead, which makes sense.
Yes, it does, it does. That's why they had to read— so we used to— we have a ski resort in British Columbia called Sun Peaks, and it used to be Tod Mountain, and they could never get German tourists, and they never knew why. And then they're like, that what you're saying is Death Mountain, so they changed the name.
Canada's Wonderland or something. Yeah. Um, allergies could also have an impact on the frequency of— that is kind of how it manifested for me. Uh, CG, I, um, we lived in the city in Vancouver for the whole time we knew each other, and I'd lived in, in the city, basically what I would call the city, the suburbs of Vancouver for like all my life. And, um, when we moved here, we have like a little forest across the street from our house, and we're exposed to far more forest. Like, there's less asphalt. I'm just gonna say it. Yeah, it's, it's a lot more— the island is a lot closer to nature. And, um, and that's when I realized I I get sinusitis, like not an infection per se, but like inflammation. And my real problem is that I have migraines, and it would even— I wouldn't even just be congested, I would just have itchy sinuses and it would give me migraines. And thankfully that's mostly better now, but gosh, that was unpleasant for a while.
Yeah.
So this, yeah, I would like, uh, oh hey, from Eastern Washington State! You're from Spokane? I am. I have a friend who's a prof at Eastern Washington University, I think it's called. She was my advisor when she was doing her postdoc at Saki. She was cool. She saved me from kind of a scarily angry professor.
Um, is Odinson—
I don't know, maybe we'll look. He's probably in the craft room. Our cat has a thing for the craft room because it's nice and quiet and it's got a big cushy bed in it. Well, a small cushy bed. You're in Omak. Omak, I've not heard of that. That's a cool name. Is it closer to the gorge? Is it like— how is it, eastern or middle? Um, that is not, um, I feel— Willow says, I feel my sinus issues got worse when I moved to Winnipeg. Oh, it got worse. Interesting. Are you—
oh, I'm sorry, buddy.
I, I think people have allergies. Like, I have an allergy to dust, it appears, as well, um, and possibly to other things, maybe trees, because my allergies are worse in the evening. Oh, but I've never really been able to figure it out. Like, we had a very unpleasant allergist do allergy testing for me.
A very unpleasant— oh, her.
Yeah, yeah. And she basically was like, see, only dust, that's all it is. You have to buy this this way now. Get out of my office, basically.
She was rude.
So, so abrupt.
Yeah.
And, um, anyway, I was like, fuck that, I'm not at all going to do this anymore. I even stopped taking the immunotherapy therapy because I was like, this is silly, that's not smart. But it wasn't helping my migraines either, so I didn't really care. Um, oh, it's close, close to the Canadian border, north of Wenatchee. Uh, you know, one of the things that is burned into my mind, which makes no sense whatsoever, um, the, um, I was— when I was a kid it was still like cable television, right? There was no— the internet was pretty young then, and, um, and it was mostly accessed by dial-up. And so we watched almost all of the TV we watched in, in Vancouver and the suburbs of Vancouver were— there were some cable stations from Washington State. And I remember during, uh, cartoons, Saturday morning cartoons. Um, I forget the name of the station, but it was like Channel 42 Centralia, Chehalis, 25 Aberdeen, Channel 22 Wenatchee. Like, it was the, the channel check, and it listed all of these places in Washington State that I had never heard of, but yet I knew the name of and could spell because of that specific network ID. And every time I hear the names of those cities or towns in Washington State, it's like reminds me of Saturday morning cartoons. Um, what was the name of that channel? CKVU? No, no, that was—
CKVU was VU13. VU13, right? Yeah, that was Vancouver. My very first job in radio was for a, was for a little radio network in the Kootenays called KBS, which I think is still there. And they commissioned a whole bunch of stings, we called them, but they're like So, there'd be IDs, station IDs, right? So, they'd be like, "Kazlo, it's great to be in the Kootenays. You're listening to KBS." It was like one of those kind of things. And so, they ordered them and we were excited because the previous ones were shit. And they came and they were all names of places that no one had heard of before. It would be like Dale's Crossing. Welcome to the Kootenays. KBS.
Tiny, tiny place.
Or else it would be like, like, yeah, like Neemapsville. And you're like, where the fuck did they get— we thought that they'd like mixed it up with some other client in like Kentucky or something. And it turns out that they were, that they had used the names of the old school railway location Yeah, which are railway crossing names, and they've used those, which no one uses.
There's no settlement there in a lot of them, especially—
Um, could I ask a question of you folks? Are we really jumping around, like, visually?
You are.
Am I? I think we both are.
Oh, I think we are. I think we've lost our internet. Or something. Oh yeah, I'm watching myself be like stuck.
Yeah, I think we're—
I think we— it's time to—
I think we've reached the end of my computer's abilities. Oh wow.
Yeah, without the third camera.
Yeah, maybe that's fine. Yeah, I'll bring— I'll get my, my real— this— I need to buy another computer. Yeah, I don't need one, but I would like one if I'm doing a lot of videos too. Stuff.
But anyway, you probably went downstairs. Anyway, okay, we should go. Um, totally thought it was your Wi-Fi. Nope, it was not. Thank you so much everyone for joining us. I like— I don't know if you can hear this, but I'm always amazed when people spend their precious time with a stranger like this. And don't be a stranger, we want to— we, we appreciate—
slide into our DM. Oh wow, that sounded so sexy, didn't it?
Oh Wow.
Yeah, slide into that.
Yeah, I'll make sure Todd doesn't come next time.
Um, thank you, Leslie. Thank you, Isle Alone. It's like the opener to the Edison Twins. Thank you, Joe. Thank you for the coins, by the way, Joe. I just noticed that now because I still do not understand this layout. Um, but all right. And thank you to our wonderful mod, Silly Hilly.
