A Canadian food label says "prepared for" Save On Foods and Vancouver, but the product actually comes from California. The phrase "prepared for" on Canadian packaging is meaningless and doesn't tell you where something was actually made.

In this whole Made in Canada, Product of Canada thing, remember that the phrase "prepared for" means nothing. Look at this: Western Family, a Canadian company. This product was prepared for Save On Foods, a Canadian company. Prepared for Vancouver, which is obviously a Canadian city. But when you actually look at the label, it's California. Points for them putting this little label on because they weren't before, I don't think. But remember, "prepared for" means nothing.
