Hello, it's Tod. I have owed you an update for a while now. I'm really sorry. We are so excited that you're all coming, by the way. It's still happening, of course. I've been on radio silence for a bit because I've been on bed rest for a medical condition. I don't know why these little white things— I think they're literally dust, but for some reason the light that I have here is like flashing. Anyway, lots to update you on. Let's get right into it. First of all, lanyards. Try and get a lanyard, red lanyard, or, you know, Canada, predominantly red maple leaf or whatever. These will be how we identify each other at the weekend, which again is April 25th to April 27th. There's no reason for the identification other than, you know, if you're on the ferry, you can see someone else with a red lanyard, chances are they're coming here for that. You guys can make friends or whatever. It's also kind of a way for the local businesses to be sort of like extra nice to you. I don't know. So these are super cheap. You can get them anywhere. You know, up here in Canada, Canadian Tire has them usually by the key cutting place. You can probably order them online. As long as they're red, you don't have to put anything on the bottom, there's no like ID tag. That's what we came up with. Okay, let's talk about some events. So there are 3 things that are happening specifically for you, in addition to the literal circus, by the way. So we have now confirmed food trucks. The food trucks will be there. Let me look at my notes. They're creating a food truck festival for you guys, okay? And that is happening on the Friday, the April 25th. From 12 noon until 8 PM. Listen, Nanaimo's food trucks are like something else. It's like if you're just expecting like, you know, a spaghetti truck and a chip truck, like you have no idea. The food trucks here are super creative. You're really going to enjoy them. That's the Friday. Also on Friday, a market. Again, just for you folks. Of all local artisans who make, you know, food and crafts and art and things like that. No resellers, no MLM stuff like that. Literally just local people. That is going to be happening at the same place the food trucks are happening, which is Maffeo Sutton Park, which is our big park downtown. You will get all these details in email in the days leading up to it, don't worry, if you're on the email list. And, um, and that is from 3 to 7 on Friday. Okay, so again, Maffeo Sutton Park, Friday, April 25th. That's the first day. Um, food truck festival from 12 to 8 PM. Mark it from 3 PM to 7 PM. Now, Saturday morning, I'm still unclear about whether the city's going to let us use this. Bureaucracy, I tell you. So what my goal is, is that in the same park, Maféo Sutton, the following day, April 26th, the Saturday, at 10 in the morning, we will all gather and just get a family photo taken together. The mayor is already on board to welcome you folks. I believe someone from the Tsunamic First Nation will be on hand to welcome you to their territory, the local member of parliament and so on. I've kind of capped the political involvement because I don't want it to be like nothing but speeches. Also, by the way, you guys are going to be coming like 3 days before our federal election. So that's awesome as well. But I'm still waiting for the city. Like, I have not gotten an official yes or no. The issue is that the city wants me personally to sign legal liability waivers and buy insurance and sign documents that say that if one of you gets injured, that I'm personally responsible for it. And listen, I love you guys, but I can't put our house on the line for someone who trips and breaks their teeth or whatever. So I know the city is working diligently to try and find a solution. I've been asking them to confirm. Hopefully it's gonna happen. I'm sure it's gonna happen one way or the other. Stay tuned, make sure you're on the email list, go to nanaimoinfusion.ca, get on the email list that way. Okay, a couple of other things happening really briefly just to wrap up. The Canadian Dance Sport Ballroom Dance Competition is happening the Saturday and the Sunday at Bebben Social Centre in Nanaimo. You can get tickets for that at the Port Theatre. Hullo, which is our passenger ferry that goes from downtown Vancouver to downtown Nanaimo in a very short amount of time, like an hour. It's a beautiful trip, by the way. Now it's passengers only, no cars. I don't think they take bikes or anything at this point, but they have a discount for you and just for you folks. If you use the code INFUSION15, like infusion 1-5, as long as it's for that weekend and it's a round trip. The Discord is hopping. Make sure you get in the Discord. There's lots of stuff in there. Discord.gg/Nanaimo. And finally, amidst all of this happening, somehow I've like become a Canadian influencer, creator. I don't know. Something happened and people started watching my videos. Maybe because of all this. I don't know. So I created a website and now it's kind of its own little thing. So if you're interested in like Canadian culture and what's happening with Canadian politics, I put out a newsletter. It's now weekly. Twice a week if you're a paying member, but it's a free one weekly and it's farandwide.news. And the reason it's chosen far and wide is that that's a line in the Canadian national anthem, from far and wide, O Canada. So farandwide.news. Okay, I think that's it. Market and Food Trucks Friday, Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Maffeo Sutton Park. Something will be happening, I'm sure. Details coming. And get some lanyards, red lanyards. Or red or predominantly red. Okay. I promise I will be more frequent with the updates. Thank you so much. We're so excited you're coming and I'll be back in touch with you soon. Bye.
