So you are an American healthcare worker and you want to move to Canada. Hi, my name is Tod. I live on Vancouver Island in Canada. My friends and I have been working on a resource just for you. It is a website, a Discord, and a flowchart. The website you can access right now, it is at nanaimoinfusion.ca. We are— it is being changed all the time, uh, we are adding resources to it. The second is a Discord which you can get to through the link on the nanaimoinfusion.ca website. Inside that Discord are local residents who can give you advice on, on stuff, expats who have moved here who are were in your shoes 2 years ago. We have medical recruiters in there. We have licensed immigration consultants in there ready to help. The third is the flowchart, which I've been working on day and night. Here's the problem: all of the different pieces have got their own websites, and they're all fine. Island Health, which is the public health thing here in Vancouver Island, has got a fine website. The family practice people have got a fine website. They only talk about themselves. There's no big picture. Here's how all the pieces connect. And that is what I have been working on. This is a third of it, just to give you an idea of what we're talking about here. You got to have your credentials recognized. It helps a lot to get a job offer and so on. The path to permanent residency is through a program called Express Entry. This is a federal program. You will most likely come in through this, the Federal Skilled Worker Program. It is a point-based system. And I am working on a huge video about how this point-based system works. It's all down here, incidentally. Um, but to even get to this part, you need to qualify. You need to qualify with your language ability, your education. If you're not from Canada, you've got to go to a site that will, uh, basically confirm your education. You have to be in a certain tier level, which there's information about that. You got to have money with you. Um, you, you can't have, have a, a felony or be convicted of drunk driving and stuff like that. And then if you qualify with all of those, Then you get into the point system, which is a whole video unto itself, which I'm going to make. So make sure you're following this account so that you will get it. I'm just finishing up the flowchart. I still have a bunch of people to talk to, and I'm going to run it by like a registered immigration consultant to make sure we have it right. But please trust me when I say, across Canada, we need you. Here on Vancouver Island, it is the best weather, the nicest people, blah blah blah blah blah. We really want you in BC and on Vancouver Island in particular. But check out that website, nanaimoinfusion.ca, and even if you don't decide decide to come to Vancouver Island, even if you don't decide to come to BC, you just come to Canada, we will forever be grateful. So check out the website nanaimoinfusion.ca and jump into the Discord. There's a link on that website there. Okay, and stay tuned, follow this account because I'm going to be having the video of how the whole bloody flowchart works, including the points, um, in a couple days.
