An Ottawa sign accidentally spelled "publique" as "pubic," a Canada House plaque misspelled "prime minister" and cost $4,000 to fix, and Australia printed 46 million $50 notes with "responsibility" misspelled before anyone noticed. The narrator hid three intentional typos in the captions for you to find.

Well, this is embarrassing. In downtown Ottawa this weekend, city officials put up signs reading "placettes publiques," French for small public spaces. But they were printed without the L in the second word, turning "publique" into "pubic," French for pubic. It's not the first time we've messed up a sign. Back in 2015, a commemorative bronze plaque unveiled by the Queen at a gala event at Canada House in London had another French spelling error. The French-language part of the plaque translated as "premiere minister Stephen Harper" rather than the correct "prime minister." Fixing those 3 letters cost taxpayers about $4,000. What is especially embarrassing is that the Queen, who herself pulled the cord on the curtain, was actually pretty fluent in French. Last year, a highway sign on Ottawa's eastbound Highway 174 was installed without the accent over the E in this city's name. One resident called it an attack on our identity. People then started painting accents onto community signs by hand, but those are nothing compared to a typo from our BFFs down under. 8 years ago, the Reserve Bank of Australia introduced a new $50 bill. About 46 million of them went into circulation, except they'd misspelled the word responsibility. Now, to be fair, the typo appeared in microscopic text, but it was a quote from Australia's first female member of parliament who also happened to be on the bill. The best part of this story is that nobody noticed this for 6 months. It was eventually caught by someone who then sent it to their local radio station. As for those bills, the RBA said they would fix it next time around, and the 46 million misspelled bills remain legal tender. I myself have made 3 typos in the captioning of this video. See if you can find them.
