A short YouTube conversation (recorded Dec 11, 2023) where Tracy Hazzard emphasizes that podcasting requires technical attention to episode metadata (titles, descriptions, calls to action) in addition to show content. The speakers recommend using AI tools (examples: Bard, Copy.ai) to process episode transcripts and generate optimized titles, descriptions, and hashtags/keywords to improve discoverability across podcast and social media platforms.
Chapters
It is such a technical game. And that's very similar to what we find on podcasts. Podcasters, you know, there's some out there who all they care about is the. The radio model, the broadcast model, what they're saying, the structure of the show. And they don't think carefully about how they title their episodes, how they've filled out their descriptions, the calls to action they create there. They're not thinking about those technical things. And I think that's a social media issue, too, that you have to do. Do both, unfortunately, yes.
And thankfully, we have all these new AI tools, you know, which we'll segment into that can help you really fine tune what the best title would be. I mean, you can take your transcript from your podcast and feed it into any number now of things. I use Bard or Copy AI, and you can just paste the transcript in there, and it will help you come up with a video description, a title, you know, hashtags, which are just like keywords, you know, and to really help you fine tune that for each episode. And I think you should try it, because it might not be what you wanted to call it, but there is a way that the computer reads things that we don't think necessarily is the same as the way our brain works.
