Tracy (a podcaster) explains they record multiple outputs (gallery, speaker, shared screen, separate audio) but prefer using speaker view when live-streaming because the host's view controls what viewers see and gallery layouts can look awkward—especially on mobile where speaker positioning (top/bottom/side-by-side) can be confusing.

We like to record it in the way we want it to be seen in the live stream. Of course we're capturing gallery view, speaker view, shared screen view, separated audios. We're we're a podcasting company so of course we capture it every which way for video and audio. But when you want to do when you want to control the view of how it looks on live stream on a social platform, you what you see the person who's recording it sees is what is out there. So what I see is what's out there and so what I found is is that lots of people do the gallery view which either looks side by side if you're looking at it on your computer or above and below which is weird because who's talking doesn't always switch to the top or the bottom and so it's a little weird in the gallery view if you're using it on your mobile phone. And so we prefer speaker view when we're live streaming.
