In order to achieve these beach wave type curls, I use a 1-inch curling iron and I curl and then leave 2 inches out of the iron and then just pull it straight down. So your curling iron, you really want it to be straight up and down, and then you want to keep 2 inches from within the curling iron and pull it down as you curl. Watch this video over and over, you'll see how I did it and how I pull it out leaving that 2 inches out from the curling iron. But this is a highly requested look. It is easier to achieve when your hair is shorter or layered. When you have really long hair, you have to use a lot of hairspray to maintain those curls, or those waves, I should say. But this is a highly requested style when I do these invisible K-tips. They're a lot easier on shorter hair, which is why you see them on a lot of people with like bobs. The lob, long bob look. A lot of people do the beach waves with those. You can get them with longer hair. The beach waves just are a little bit looser. They're not as tight as these. But again, even these fall over time and just become big beach waves. So save this video if this is something you're interested in. Send it to a fellow hairstylist if this is a look you want to achieve and they don't know how, because this is a look that is not necessarily, an everyday look for some of your typical clients, but for some, this is their go-to hairstyle. For some of my people, this is their everyday look. So drop a comment, let me know.
