Are You Allowing Your Past To Limit Your Future?

Stop blaming yourself for what you didn't do. Dwelling on missed opportunities keeps you stuck, but C.S. Lewis said it best: "We can't go back and change the beginning, but we can start today and change the ending." Your past is fixed. Your next move isn't.

How many of you here right now are struggling to move forward or refusing to move forward and take action and move towards your goals, to do the things you know you want to do or need to do in order to have the life and the outcomes that you want? How many of you are refusing to do that because you're too busy holding yourself to ransom essentially from a past that you didn't experience? Now what I mean is there were things you should have done that you maybe want to do now You had the opportunity to do them in the past and you didn't. So now you beat yourself up about it. Now you make yourself feel guilty and you blame and shame yourself for having not done these things years ago. I should have started years ago. I should have, I should have lost weight 10 years ago. I should have started a business 5 years ago and all this type of shit. But then what we end up doing because we didn't do the thing back then, we continue to beat ourselves up now and make ourselves feel bad about that, which of course doesn't put us in a place of power. Where we feel like we can now step up and move forward because we're too busy regretting the past that we didn't live. Now, of course, if this is you, I highly recommend that one, you'd let go of that shit because it will hold you back forever if you don't. But one of my favorite quotes is actually by C.S. Lewis, and it goes like this: We can't go back and change the beginning, but we can start today and change the ending. And this is absolutely true for all of us. So we can choose to kind of stay stuck where we are, keep regretting the past that we didn't live and, and the actions we didn't take when we know we should have taken them and all the rest of it. Or we can go, you know what, that is what it is. That's the past. I cannot change, but I can change my present moment now. I can choose to be different now. I can choose to act differently now, which is therefore going to result in my future being different also, because the actions I'm going to take from now are going to be in alignment with the future and the positive outcomes that I actually want to experience as I move through my life. So that's what I'm going to leave you guys with today. Are you allowing your past to hold you back in the present and therefore limit your future? Take it easy, people. Thanks for watching, and I look forward
