How to increase your water intake without having to đź’¦ 500 times a day!

Increase water intake gradually by adding 250 ml every 3-5 days so your body adapts without constant bathroom trips. Add a pinch of sea salt to prevent your body from flushing the water, since low-mineral water dilutes electrolytes.

Hey guys, what's up? Hope you're all good. So, in today's video, I'm just going to explain how you'll want to increase your water intake without having to run back and forth to the loo all day. Obviously, one of the first things that we address when people come to me in order to get healthy, lose weight, gain muscle, etc., one of the key things that we have to work on, of course, is hydration levels. But the catch-22 is most people are chronically dehydrated. So when they actually start increasing their water intake to their recommended amount, what they find is if they do it too quickly, they just spend the day back and forth to the loo and end up feeling like they're, they're kind of wasting their efforts, basically. So if you're unsure how much water you should be consuming on a daily basis, I did put a post up a week or so ago with the formula you'll want to use, using your body weight, in order to work out the specific amount of water that you'll want for your body. Now, once you do that, if you find that you're currently consuming nowhere near that amount of water, then you'll want to gradually increase it to the, to the level that you want. And the way you'll want to do that— so let's say, for example, at the moment you're just drinking half a liter a day on average, and then the rest is all coming from maybe teas, coffees, juices, sodas, that kind of thing. So if you're drinking half a liter a day, what you'll want to do is add in 250ml, or approximately half a pint, every 3 days. So for example, today I'd add in 250ml, so instead of the 500ml or half a liter, I'd start drinking 750ml a day. Now 3 days later, if I find that my toilet frequency hasn't increased, then what I can do is now add in another 250ml and bump that up to 1 liter. If I find that my toilet frequency is significantly increased still, then I want to hold off for maybe 2 to 3 more days before increasing by that 250ml. And you literally just keep increasing this 250ml every 2 to 3 days— sorry, every 3 to 5 days, not 2 to 3, 3 to 5 days— until you reach your recommended amount. Now, it can take a little bit of time for some, because sometimes as you cross certain thresholds where it affects hormonal levels and things like that, it can then start making you need the loo. But one of the other things that you can do, one of the reasons that you end up needing to go to the toilet so much is because perhaps the quality of the water or the water hardness that you're drinking is too low and maybe, maybe you don't have a high enough mineral content so this water that you're bringing in is actually diluting the electrolyte and the mineral balance in your body. So the body's trying to flush out all this excess fluid in order to keep your mineral balance and your electrolyte balance in the optimal levels. So what you can do is buy a high-quality, unrefined sea salt. So you can get good Celtic sea salt even just on Amazon and places like that. So you want unrefined Celtic sea salt or even unrefined rock salt, that's fine as well, like pink Himalayan salt and so on. But you want a good quality one ideally. And then you would just add a pinch of salt to the water and that will enable your body to maintain ideal mineral and electrolyte balance. Whilst you're increasing your water intake. And that way, again, you won't end up just back and forth to the toilet all day feeling like you're wasting your time and wasting your effort with this increased water intake. So I hope that helps. Just a small amount, 250ml every 3 to 5 days, is what you want to increase by. And if you have any other questions regarding this or want me to go deeper, let me know. And if not,
