Make Healthy Food Convenient

Tyrone Bray, founder of Titan Health, shares two ways to make healthy eating as easy as grabbing junk food: batch-cook breakfast and lunch while making dinner, or keep raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes ready to eat. About 60% of his clients use the batch-prep method.

Hey guys, what's up? Tyrone Bray here, founder of Titan Health and Performance, and welcome to this week's health tip. So today we're just going to be talking about how to make healthy food more convenient. Now the reason I'm doing this is because obviously if you've seen my previous video on eliminating processed foods, you know why it's a good idea to get rid of them. You'll know that I mentioned, you know, just buy healthy foods, but obviously a lot of the time people struggle to eliminate the processed foods because of their convenience. You know, they're quick, they're easy to go to, you know, it's your cakes, your biscuits, your sweets, etc. Whereas most, not all, but you know, a lot of healthy food, particularly healthy meals, will take some time, some preparation, etc. So a lot of the time people just can't be bothered or feel they don't have the time in order to prepare this healthy stuff. So they turn to the crap. So what today is about, as I say, is just making those healthy foods slightly more convenient. And one of the easiest ways that we find to do that is to prepare food in advance. So for instance, you may at breakfast, you know, whilst you get up in the morning, you're doing your breakfast, you might prepare your lunch at the same time. So that way when lunchtime rolls around, you haven't got to be thinking, "Shit, I need time to go and do breakfast." breakfast, lunch even, sorry. You know, you haven't got to worry about, "Oh shit, I need to go do my lunch," because it's already prepared. Instead, you can just grab it out of the fridge or out of your bag, wherever you've had it, and obviously just eat it. There's no preparation involved, no time. It's just a case of eating the food. You know, or for instance, if you're somebody that rolls out of bed with barely enough time to have a wash, you know, let alone prepare breakfast, prepare lunch, etc., instead what you could do when you cook your dinner, because most people at least cook a meal in the evening, or do something for dinner, you know. Whilst you're preparing your dinner, you could also prepare breakfast and even lunch for the next day. This one I tend to find, I'd say of the people that struggle with time, probably about 60% of my clients opt for this one. They tend to prepare additional food at dinner time because dinner tends to be the time that they, I guess they commit the most time to cooking or preparing food. So therefore, quickly doing breakfast and lunch at the same time doesn't necessarily take any additional time, you know, because it's all being done anyway. And quite often what people will do with the dinner is just make additional food so that they can obviously have the same food for breakfast, and then obviously might make a little something different for their lunch. But as I say, one of the easiest ways to make healthy food more convenient is just simply to prepare it in advance. The other way is obviously to just buy foods that you can just eat. I know most people have a problem with eating raw meats, which is fair enough, but at least with vegetables, fruits, etc., nuts, seeds, most legumes and things like that, you could actually just eat them raw. There is no preparation involved, providing you're happy to eat them raw. You don't want to always eat them raw, but of course having an abundance of healthy healthy raw foods, particularly fruits, vegetables, etc., in the diet is never a bad thing. So if you don't even have time to prepare food in advance, you know, one week or one day, what you could do instead is just add in a few more raw items that are obviously going to be healthier than many cooked items or processed foods that you may turn to instead. So of course, as I say, prepare the food or turn to the raw stuff. So hopefully that's helped in, you know, giving you a couple of ideas. On how you can make healthy food a little bit more convenient. But maybe you have a few ideas of your own and you know little tips or hints that you use yourself.
