In this motivational monologue, the speaker argues that merely changing external habits is insufficient for lasting results such as weight loss. Using a triangle‑to‑circle metaphor, he explains that true, sustainable change requires a deep transformation of one’s identity—becoming a new version of oneself rather than merely adjusting behavior. He describes the common cycle of losing weight, regaining it, and the accompanying loss of motivation, attributing it to surface‑level efforts that don’t alter the underlying self. The speaker also highlights the perpetual guilt loop many face between business responsibilities, family obligations, and personal self‑care, which further undermines consistent progress. To break this pattern, he urges listeners to “kill off” the old version of themselves—their thoughts, habits, and self‑image—and adopt the mindset and actions of the person they aspire to become (fit, healthy, financially successful, intimate, present). While acknowledging the difficulty and time required, he emphasizes that full identity transformation leads to lasting health, wealth, relationships, and personal fulfillment, whereas superficial change only provides temporary outcomes.

So I recently put a post up saying how the idea of change is not enough. So we can change and get to the result that we want, but in order to maintain that result, what we ultimately need is to transform at the level of who we are being. So this is simply because if you think about it from this perspective, it's like I can take a triangle, yeah, so I've got a triangle, and ultimately if I turn this triangle on its side It's like, well, now that's changed. Yeah, but ultimately at the core level, it's still a fucking triangle. Like it did not transform into anything new. All it did was create the perception or the illusion of change. And then the same tends to be true for us. So it's like we'll embark on this new journey. It's like, here's my goal, I want to lose 20 pounds. So we start doing the things that are necessary and then what we find is a couple of weeks in, We start to lose motivation, the results start to slow down, and then we end up giving up. And sometimes I've just said a couple of weeks, but sometimes it's a few days. And the catch with this is because we're constantly trying to change, we're trying to do all these new things that we know are required in order to get this outcome, but we haven't actually been willing to transform as an individual. So what we need to do ultimately is take this bloody triangle and turn it into a circle, for example. So like then we've had true transformation. It's no longer a triangle. It no longer does the things that triangles do. Because it's now a circle. So it's the same for me. It's like I'm no longer a fat person. I no longer do the things that fat, weak, lethargic, and lazy people do. Instead, I do the things that fit, lean, strong, and healthy people do. That's what allows me to move into this new reality and then keep it once I get there. Because let's face it, it's fucking exhausting when you constantly have to go through this cycle of, I lost 20 pounds, gained it all back. I lost 30 pounds, I gained it all back. I lost 10 pounds, I gained it all back. And this is the cycle that many of us get caught up in. And of course it's because we have all these other obligations going on in life as well. Many of us have businesses that we're trying to run and we've got to keep money coming in so we can keep a roof over our head and fucking food on the table. And then we've got the stresses of our relationships and the obligation to show up and be around and take care of our kids and make sure that our partner is satisfied and fulfilled and all the rest of it. And then it's like you're spending time with them and feeling guilty because you should be in the business earning money. But then when you're away from the fucking business, sorry, or when you're in the business, you're then feeling guilty because you should be spending time with your family. And then when you try and spend time on yourself, you feel guilty because you should be working on your business and spending time with your family. So you're constantly caught up in this fucking loop of guilt and all the rest of it. And again, it's because we're trying to change. We just want to change at this surface level, do what it— what's required to get the outcome, and then hope that that's enough. But as I've just mentioned, change is not enough. Change can get you there, but it will not keep you there. You must be willing to transform completely at the level of being. Ultimately, what we need to do is kill off this current version of ourselves. The way you've been showing up, the way you've been acting, the way you've been thinking, the things that you've been doing. The guy that does those things, that shows up in those ways, you need to kill him off. You need to completely sever this aspect of self. Now, you don't have to forget it, but you have to let it go. You have to leave this part of you behind so that you can move into the potential of this new reality that you see for yourself. This version of you that's fitter, leaner, stronger, healthier, that has more money, that has more sex connection, and obviously deep intimacy with your partner. This other person that's able to spend more time engaged with you, with your children, and so on. Like, it's not easy to get there necessarily. It's going to take work, it's going to take time, but it's always going to be worth it, and you're going to feel like it was worth it because you allowed yourself to transform in the process rather than just do what's necessary as a means to an end, achieve the outcome, but not feel any different on the inside, not actually feel fulfilled. Happy, satisfied with the result because you weren't able to change as a result of obtaining this thing. So that's what I'm going to leave you guys with today. Just remember, yes, we can change, but it will not keep you there. In order to stay there once we achieve these outcomes that we want, we must be willing to transform at the level of who we are showing up as and who we are being so that we can maintain these results for life. Thanks for watching, people, and I look forward to seeing you in my next video. Take it easy.
