In this candid monologue, Dan Novaes reflects on his experience spending more than $100,000 on a variety of coaching programs—including Tony Robbins, platinum coaching, and mastermind events. He explains that the most valuable takeaways were not strictly business‑related but centered on personal growth: defining a personal mission and core values, deepening his relationship with himself and his wife, and gaining a nuanced understanding of human psychology. Novaes argues that learning how people think and what motivates them makes one a more empathetic leader and improves decision‑making. He describes how exposure to diverse mindsets creates a new mental framework that allows him to step back, reassess frustrating situations, and trust that events unfold as they should. The video concludes with an invitation to follow for more free hacks and insights.

Last year, I spent over $100,000 in coaching with a mix of Tony Robbins, platinum coaching, other coaches that I was already working with, other Mastermind events, and it was well over $100,000. And the biggest takeaways for me actually didn't all have to do with my business. It actually had a lot to do with, like, my personal relationships, how I think about my personal relationship with myself, my personal relationship with my wife, and really having some deep understandings of, like, what my mission is, what my values are. We often do core values for our company, but we don't always do them for ourselves. We don't always. Or a mission for ourselves. And I think that some of the biggest realizations that I've had is that not every single person operates in the same way as me. Every person has a framework of how they think about the world, what empowers them, what resonates with them. And I think learning about some of the psychology behind how humans operate makes you a better leader. It gives you more empathy, and it allows you to make better decisions. And I think that a lot of these experiences will put you in a completely different mind frame. And it doesn't mean that you won't slip into your normal mind frame, but it allows you to have the capacity of taking a step back, back, reassessing situations, especially situations that might piss you off, situations that you don't understand, why you're in that situation. And sometimes it feels like, you know, the universe is compelling against you, but really, you know, everything happens the way it should. And, you know, I deeply believe that and feel that. And it could be in business, it could be in life, and those are things that I think, you know, you get exposure by getting different ways of thinking from some of these people that have studied this and dedicated their lives to this.
