A short YouTube video by Dan Novaes profiling Larry Bird as a unique figure in basketball history who—according to the narrator—has won MVP as a player, Coach of the Year, and Executive of the Year, a rare "triple crown" the presenter says no one else in major sports has matched. The video reviews Bird’s playing peak (three straight MVPs, three championships, 12 All-Star selections, rivalry with Magic Johnson), his surprising jump to coach the Indiana Pacers (franchise-record 58 wins, Coach of the Year, three straight Eastern Conference Finals including an NBA Finals trip in 2000, then leaving after three years), and his later return as Pacers president of basketball operations culminating in a 2012 Executive of the Year award after building a defensively strong team that pushed LeBron’s Heat to a seven-game series. The clip ends with a call-to-action to follow UBK for more entrepreneur stories.

Did you know that Larry Bird is the only person in history to win an MVP as a player? Coach of the Year. As a coach and Executive of the Year in the front office, it all starts in the 1980s and Larry Bird is the face of basketball. Three straight MVPs from 1984 to 1986, three championships, 12 All Star selections, and a rivalry with Magic Johnson that basically saved the NBA. Most legends stopped there. But Bird called his shot again. With no coaching experience, he became the Indiana Pacers head coach. Everyone thought it was a publicity move, but in his first season, Bird led Indiana to a franchise record of 58 wins and won Coach of the Year. He took them all the way to the Eastern Conference finals three years in a row, including a trip to the NBA Finals in 2000. He felt like he had done his part. So after just three years, he walked away on his own terms, just like he had done as a player. But a few years later, Bird came back to Indiana to become the president of basketball operations. And in 2012, after building a tough defensive Pacers team that pushed LeBron's Heat to a seven game series, he was named Executive of the Year. Making Larry Bird's Triple Crown for of the rarest in sports history. Because no one has ever done this in any major sport. For more entrepreneur stories and information like this, follow UBK.
