Dan Novaes delivers a first-person monologue arguing that the "grind-to-the-bone" mentality is unsustainable. He outlines his shift to prioritizing health (exercise, sustainable diet), mindfulness, and delegation, framing these as "non-negotiables" that improved clarity, decision-making, and business results; he closes with a call to follow for more tips.

In the past I've thought that I needed to only focus on business and work and grind to the bone and forgot some of the things that are important, whether it's my health, whether it's working out, whether it's diet that is sustainable and maybe short term bursts when, you know, high intensity things need to get done. But if you keep doing that long term, the older you get, the more problems that you're generally going to face and you're not imbalanced. So I think having the balance of mindfulness, working out, eating right, taking time to just have fun, you know as well, because there are moments of clarity that come from your subconscious that you're not even thinking about. And some of those moments have changed the course of my life, that changed the course of my business. And so my non negotiables now is really to have a much more balanced life in terms of how I set up my mornings and how I make decisions for my health. And so I think that that's one of the biggest unlocks that I've had at this stage of my career. And it doesn't certainly mean that I'm actually working less. I'm just better at delegation now and better at working smarter, not necessarily just harder. And when I am working hard, it doesn't necessarily feel like work because I'm passionate about what I'm doing and I just enjoy our broader mission.
