Most people skip the basics of goal-setting: defining what they actually want, honestly assessing where they are now, and naming the specific obstacles in the way. Working through all three steps reveals what's really stopping you.
Chapters
You identify, or we can make these 3 steps. I don't know if that's better, but these are the 3 things, right? You identify your desired outcome, and you don't have to know exactly what it would be, but it's something which is not your present state. You describe your present state. Some people like to call that the problem. Hmm. And then you start to explore what's stopping you from moving from your present state to your desired outcome. So far, you know, nothing like crazy to be said. However, In my experience, those 3 things are not clearly delineated. Most people haven't actually sat down and really articulated the, what's my desired outcome here? And how would I describe my present state and the things that are working for me and that aren't working for me and so forth? And certainly much less often, even if they've got those, have they then really explored the question, all right, what's stopping me?
