Hi everyone. I'm Akarsh today here to talk to you about the gratitude journal.
So every day without fail, I do one simple ritual.
Before calling it night, I write down.
Three things that I'm grateful for and that happened today. For example, day before was my birthday and I was grateful for my family, my friends and all the beauty that they, you know, they've showered on me all my life.
I was grateful for the publication of the Harvard Business Review article that I wrote. It took a while, but it came.
Out to my satisfaction, I think.
And I was also really grateful for.
All the people who've ever taken a chance on me. Even when things look tricky and I hadn't quite figured things out, this simple journal helps me make sense of everything that's working in my life.
Because in the modern day hustle, sometimes.
We lose track of how one's life is going. We have this peak and fallacy where we remember the peaks, we remember the ends, but we sometimes lose the entire picture. So my gratitude journal reminds me or serves as a reminder for everything that is still quite simple and beautiful in.
My life in this complicated world that we all cohabit.
Doing this daily has created, you know, a system or a mindset in me.
Where I'm constantly looking for the way to put a positive spin on stories, the way I can perhaps recontextualize or re pivot what happens in my life.
And instead of being beholden to, you.
Know, one way of looking at life or looking at work or looking at.
Things I'm able to look at with practice, something, you know, which might be giving hope to me, to my community, to my families. Gratitude and happiness are strongly correlated. People who are most grateful for things are also people who tend to find most happiness and most meaning in their lives. And I've personally benefited from this gratitude journal. It takes me a little over two minutes to do it. Some days where I it's a harder.
Day than usual or a happier day than usual, I spend more time reflecting on it.
But this simple practice has been a game changer. So what's in it for you? I think no matter where you find.
Yourself in life, it helps to have a gratitude journal.
It really helps to write three sentences at the end of the night documenting.
What you're grateful for today.
And once you do it long enough, you'll be able to find patterns in your thought process in the way you conduct yourself, in the way you look at relationships and the way you look at work, life. I think all of it just letting.
Things go and letting the day pass.
By one after the other is pretty.
Easy to lose sight of the bigger picture.
So go ahead, give the Gratitude Journal a try and let me know how the adventure works out for you. As always, if you find some of these nuggets interesting, do consider subscribing to NetworkCapital TV.
