Chapters
Good afternoon everyone. My name is Utkarsh and I'm the CEO of Network Capital. I thought I'll just quickly walk you through what the weekend looks like and how you might participate in the various functions, events, fellowships that we've organized. So Friday night kicked off with a personal branding fellowship with Dilip Cherian, who's India's authority on branding and image management. He's somebody who worked in the government, then became a journalist and then transitioned to setting up perfect relations which is redefining the way science and artwork when it comes to branding yourself. The goal for our fellows which who come from all walks of life, from military to CEOs to Gen Z, teenagers and millennials, across ages, across countries, across sectors, to come and create that category of one. And this is something that forms the core aspect of every single Network Capital experience. We firmly believe that competition is losers and each person, each Network Capital community member, each subscriber must strive to create his or her category of one. Today we're going to launch the Product Management Fellowship with a session by Raheel Khurshid, who's been a fellow at Harvard, Stanford and Yale, built interesting products at Twitter, led policy there in India, and today he's going to talk about how a non tech person with a journalist background built an interesting set of tech products. And you can learn about career pivoting, but also more fundamentally how a non tech person can transition into policy and product etc. We have Bhanu, who's previously been a leader at Microsoft, Nokia, etc. And he's going to be the course director for the entire product management experience. A person who comes with a lot of experience and credibility, but most importantly, he's a giver at heart. You will enjoy getting to learn from him. Every single faculty of our fellowships is carefully curated to make sure that it combines a great mix of head and heart so that you not only learn the facts and figures and mental models, but also have a great time doing so. Tomorrow we're going to have Santosh, an Insead and Facebook alum who's going to be talking about his journey from IIT Kanpur to insead, Facebook and now at Lyft. And he's going to be telling you about how hyperscale products are built. We also have a Masters and MBA boot camp. So tomorrow we have Prachi, an alum from Graduate Institute Geneva, as well as one from Harvard Business School and one from London Business School walking you through. In the coming days, we want to tell you something very interesting. Every single person who subscribed to Network Capital got into the top three schools of his or her choice this year. The results are still coming in, but based on the data that I last saw, that's the fact it doesn't speak so much about anything else. Apart from the hustle of our subscribers and the commitment of our faculty and how we're trying to bridge and build a meaningful experience for each of them, we have been also enjoying Clubhouse extensively. You're most welcome to join the Network Capital Club. Today, a couple of our members from Network Capital London are launching the second episode of Career Exponent where they're going to be talking about an ownership mindset with somebody who's worked at Clevertap, Nokia and Microsoft. We will thereafter be discussing on Sunday night the career principles of the CEO of Bumble, who is the youngest woman billionaire after the ipo. This entire set of experiences that we curate are to help you connect with people meaningfully based on meaningful experiences. We call these cohort based classes and I'm really excited to see the engagement that transcends age, religion, culture, conviction, country. And now it's an opportunity for you to launch to conclude, Network Capital Summer Schools have launched. We already have dozens of interest in registrations from parents and young students. We're really excited about building a school on the cloud, especially focused on enabling children to think clearly, speak powerfully and write smartly. Come join us Once you become a Network Capital subscriber, all the services that we offer become free of cost for you. Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend and I look forward to catching up with you very soon. Cheers.
