Hey guys, Val here. So, you know, the one thing about being a woman in leadership or in running a company, and honestly, you know, this is for all entrepreneurs or all people who are, you know, if you're in leadership or if you have a business that you're running, you know, the only thing that is constant is the, the change. You know, the constant thing that is inevitable in any business, any leadership, is the change. And, you know, it's no secret that right now in the world. There has been so many crazy things over the past year that have just really like thrown us for a loop, am I right? Hello, Princess Omen! Hello, beautiful girl! Hello, hello! Um, been missing your lives. Oh my gosh! Oh, I'm so glad that you're on here. I'm so glad that we got to connect. And I'm usually like never live this late because this is like my, you know, husband time, and, um, he's at a men's group, so Here I am, and this was totally on my mind. You know, being in leadership, right? Like Princess Omen, you know you are a leader. You are a woman, like a leader among leaders. And so, you know, the only thing that is constant in that is the change, right? Especially right now. You know, 2020 served us all for a loop, of course. And you know, the thing that I've seen between the people who are really like out there, like making it and pivoting. Is, you know, the adaptability and the ability to change. And I know that can be really hard, but I know for myself personally, I have fought a lot of things. I am the type of person that I really like— change can be a little bit hard for me, being like a Type A, in my head, overthinking entrepreneur like I used to be. Then, you know, the thing is, like, any kind of change can really just like throw me for a loop. And I used to just like sit in indecision because any decision I had or any change that came up, I was so afraid that I was going to make the wrong decision or, you know, make the wrong choice that I would just sit in that fear and like not really move forward and not have the ability to make a difference in the world. So, you know, if you are sitting in that place where maybe you're facing some change and doesn't really sit right for you, right? Like maybe it's just feeling a little uncomfortable. Maybe it's feeling like, you know, maybe you're feeling some resistance. Then, you know, what I would really suggest that you do is look at the things that you can control. Look at the things that you can change. I know that might sound a little bit cliché, you know, like I can change my— I can control my own reaction. I can control my own response. You know, I can do these things. But really, if you look at the things that you can, you know, what do you have control over in this change? You know, can you make the decision and still create certainty in your life? You know, that's one thing for me when I am making a huge risk, or if I'm taking like a big investment, you know, if I'm about to make a big investment, and I know it is the thing that I need to move my business forward, if I know it's the thing I need— to be able to, you know, invest in something that's going to save me time, that's going to save me money, and I know it's the right decision to make, then what I do is I turn it back and I create certainty around it, right? Because if I sit in that indecision, if I sit in that doubt, what ends up happening is I kind of like teeter-totter back and forth until like I waste time and then I absolutely miss the opportunity. Um, you know, like the price goes up. Like I've seen that happen so many times where I've wanted something and I'm like, okay, I have time, I can always do it later, and then I miss out on the opportunity. So, you know, if you're a woman in leadership, if you're a woman who has a company, then just know that the one constant is going to be change. And over the last year or so, we've seen an acceleration of things changing. I feel like we were kind of on this teeter-totter, right? Like, things were going to propel forward, things were going to go automated, things were going to get a lot more, um, you know, video and automation and technology focused. But because of what's happened over the past 10 months, it really just kind of accelerated these things. It accelerated these things, and a lot of us didn't have a choice. I mean, I remember like barely getting a flight home from San Diego back to Oregon where I live, and just barely getting on like the last flight before they shut flights down. And I remember like just thinking, oh my gosh, like I this isn't what I decided. This isn't the choice that I made for 2020, and you know. Like trips got canceled, events I was doing, being on stages, you know, like all these things, conferences I had booked out were just over, done. And, you know, I allowed myself to feel the feelings that came up, right? Like this might sound so cliché, but honestly, like we need to allow ourselves to go there sometimes, you know, whether if that's disappointment, frustration, Whatever that is, I will allow myself to sit in it for like five minutes, maybe an hour. Feel those feelings, and then boom! Get into action, right? So sometimes you know, like just really feeling into it. Like what's coming up for me? What am I feeling? What am I really like? Am I upset? Am I feeling powerless? Am I feeling out of control? Am I feeling anxiety? Like whatever that is for you, it is 100% valid. Thank you so much for the thumbs up. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm sorry it's not showing me who's. Popping on. So I'm seeing like every once in a while, but, um, I do see you guys are on here, but I'm not seeing who it is. So if you say hi, I'll know you're here. I think I saw Andrea as well. Hello, Andrea! Andrea, my love! So, you know, really feel those feelings. Oh, I think I just saw Bobby! Bobby's little thumbs up. Hello, Bobby! I love you so much, Bobby. I forgot to tell you, the thing you won in my November challenge, it got sent back to me and Apparently, I don't know how to send things to Canada, so I need to go figure that out. Just know that I'm I'm here with you, girl. I'm gonna send that out to you. It got returned. So you know, really like allow yourself to feel those feelings because sometimes you know we've got the only way through is through, right? Like the only way to get through is through. So if we allow ourselves to just go there, whatever that is that you've been avoiding. Or dancing around. Like, whatever you resist persists, right? Napoleon Hill said that years ago. He's genius. And so whatever you resist persists. So allow yourself to feel it. And then take back, you know, stand in your power. Stand in your power and realize that there's always something you can do. There's always something that you have the power to change. or the power to, you know, take a stand for in that moment, no matter what comes up. Hello, Michelle. Oh my goodness. Hello. Hello, my love. So excited to see you on here. All right. So ladies, if you're in that place where either you're in leadership or if you have your own business and, you know, maybe you're facing that change, I mean, we all kind of are globally right now, right? We're all globally facing this change. And, you know, the thing we can do is acknowledge where we're at, acknowledge what we're feeling, because if we resist it, it's just going to bubble up below the surface and just be there. It'll just be there, right? So what we can do is like really, you know, acknowledge what's coming up for us and then realize that no matter what, there's always something, some action we can take. You know, if you're facing a decision about making an investment, not making a investment, making the move, not making the move, just really realize like, what is it that's speaking to me? Is it fear or is it like a valid thing? Is it just, you know, like my ego trying to keep me safe, or is it like a really valid tangible thing? Like, is this not a wise investment or am I just afraid to move forward because maybe I'm so much up in here, I'm so much in my head that I'm overthinking, I'm, you know, analyzing, I'm Like thinking to thinking to planning to plan to, right? You know, because you can get really stuck in that. That can feel like a really stuck space. I know because that used to be me, like to a T. I was oh, you guys, like type A in my head, overthinking everything to the point that people would be like, Val, get out of your head. Get out of your head, right? But no matter what, there's always something that you can control. You know, in every situation in life, and yes, I. I am 100% acknowledging that there has been crazy things happening in the world. I mean, not just this past year, but all the time, right? Like, we all have a story, we all have a past, and, you know, I don't want to downplay any of that, you know, because I know for myself I've had things, I've had stuff. I know some of you on here right now have had stuff and things, and, you know, there's always situations that come up Right? There's these things where you know we could so easily, and nobody would blame us if we just kind of like rolled over and said, "I give up," right? I give up. But let me tell you guys, the powerful truth is this: The powerful truth is this: When we are living and we are fully alive. We get to show up in our power. We get to show up in our beautiful magic. We get to be the light that shines for the world. We get to do this by saying, regardless of my circumstance, regardless of where I've been, I know where I'm going. You know, it's, it's this direction. The direction I'm going is up, up, up, up, up, up, up, up, up, right? Regardless of— we're rising up, we're going up. And you can always surround yourself with people who believe in you. If you don't believe in yourself yet, come hang out with me for a little while. You will literally— you will believe in yourself. Come hang out with me in the Wild Tribe. That's my free group for You know, it's my Facebook group here, and it's for entrepreneurs and business leaders who are high achieving, who are looking to get up to that next level, to keep rising, to do all the things. Because you know what? Like this is the game we're playing, right? Like this is the game we're in. We're at this place right now where it's like you know we're on this like pivot point. We can either just sit in 2020 and say, you know what? 2020 sucked. I'm just gonna sit in this. I'm gonna pull onto it. I'm gonna drag it out. I'm gonna look at the world and say, you know, when am I gonna get mine? When is somebody gonna come save me? When is someone gonna come get— you know, all these things. We can sit, we can do that 100%, absolutely. That is a choice. But what I'm interested in doing is rising to the top, because during this time— oh my goodness, thank you so much, Holly, for sharing this video. Oh, I love you so much. You guys, during this time, I was just telling a client— I just took on a brand new one-on-one client today, which I'm so freaking excited to finally be able to talk about, um, because I had like non-disclosure agreements and all that. But I'm so excited to talk about— we were just talking about that because, um, it's a couple, it's a, it's a man and, and wife, like it's a wife and her husband. And I was talking about, you know, he's a little nervous about, you know, starting, you know, really going big and during right now, during the session, right, like during the recession right now. And I was I said, here's the thing: the recession is the best time to start a business or go big. The recession is 100% the best time to start a business or go big. So if anyone out there is worrying about oh my gosh, what if what if what if what if what if let me tell you my business has made more money. Already this month than we well not this month. Okay, we are going to make more money this in like quarter one than we have all year last year. We are going to make more in quarter one than we did all last year, and it was not a small number. And you know here's the truth that you can start a business during a recession. I have two clients that have done it, three clients now. One client started the day we shut down. She ended her year with $78,000 cash. The other one started in July and and ended December 2020 with just under $100,000, like just shy of $100,000. Oh Holly! Yes girl. This is how I know I'm in the right place. Holly says no thank you. LOL. I am only moving forward. Let's go. I'm so So excited! Yes, girl! Yes, we are rising to the top. And here's the thing. Here's the deal. The reason why I love recessions—like, I'm sorry that sounded. I hope that doesn't sound insensitive. But the reason why recessions are so good for entrepreneurs and female leaders to rise up is because it is during the recessions. That the people who are playing small, the people who are in it until it gets hard, the people who are saying, you know what, I want to do this until I'm going to pull back, I'm going to play small, I'm going to run away in fear, I'm not going to invest in my business, I'm not going to find the people who can help guide me, I'm not going to do the things to help educate and bring myself up, I'm not going to do these things— those people go away. Those people go away. But it is during the recession, it is during the times when you have entrepreneurs like me and like a lot of you guys watching that we go big, we press in, we go bigger, we serve bigger than ever. We serve, we give just to give. We serve, we, we give out free things, we do free things, we, you know, do free webinars, we do free summits, we do all these things. We give and give and give and give and give and give when everyone else is pulling back. We are the cream that will rise to the top. These are the cream that rise to the top. Michelle Bond, I've never made money. Why? I had no clue my value, no clue to monetize myself. Oh my goodness. You can abs— oh my goodness, girl, you can absolutely monetize on what you do. I know what you do and I know you can. I know you can 100%. The world needs your message. It's just learning how to put yourself out there and, you know, really get the sales and do the things. So, um, yeah, we can talk more about that. Holly says true. But you guys, you know, it's, it's true because like when you get the people like myself, and I know a lot of my audience is this way too, like, we serve just to serve. We give to give. And, you know, when you do that and you're not in it, like, for the money, when you're chasing your passion, then, you know, the money follows. Like, if you want to learn how to, you know, like, really turn that around and go big and go all in and do all the things, then hang out with me because I will teach you the ways. I will teach you the ways. I have built my entire business off of organic social media, organic social media content. I've spent maybe a couple hundred dollars on Facebook ads strategically, strategically for the past 3 years since I've been in the online space. Before that, I was literally like handing out flyers in 2014, handing out flyers Going, you know, doing workshops, all those things. It was a lot harder to build your business back in 2014. I'll tell you what, before social media was what it is today. So, you know, here's the the thing: like we get to, right, ladies? We get to. I'm like literally getting like chills talking about this. But we get to be a tribe of women. Who come together and say, you know what? We no longer settle for mediocre. We no longer settle for being just okay. I don't want to just be a survivor. I want to thrive. I don't want to just be a light. I want to be like a fire that is ignited in the world. You know, I want success, whatever that looks like for you, because each one of us has a definition of success. Each one of us. You know, whether if that's to be debt-free, if that's to live in a mansion, if that's to drive a Ferrari, whatever that is for you, girl, go and do it. If that's raising 5 children, if that's, you know, getting married to your dream person and like whatever that is for you, go do that. Go do that, right? Like, do it. Because here's the deal. Now more than ever before, now more than ever before, the world needs female leaders to rise up. To shine their lights and to be so incredibly unapologetic about the impacts and the income that they get to create in the world. This is the best time to do it. Oh my goodness, you guys, like, the best time to do it is right now. So I hope that you guys were inspired by that. I hope that you loved this message. Thank you again, Holly, for sharing it out. I'm just— oh my gosh, that just makes me so happy and makes my heart just— you're the best. Thank you, thank you. So if you guys are not in my Wild Tribe, I would love for you to pop in. Um, there's a— yeah, it's an amazing group of women. We are doing really fun things in there. So if you are inspired by that, I would— I I hope that you'll come and hang out with me in there. I'm kind of going in there more often right now just because algorithms and stuff have been kind of crazy, but we are going to break the algorithm. My team and I are going to do it. We are going to break the algorithm. We've done it before, we'll do it again. So, um, if you guys want to check me out and see my lives when I go live, go ahead and go up on top above me and just put see first so you can see my stuff first. I say that because My beautiful, amazing, wonderful mother-in-law was like, "I never see your stuff anymore. I used to see you all the time, and now I don't see anything." And I'm like, "Go see me first." So if you want to see me first, feel free to do that. Otherwise, I love you guys so much. I hope that you got something from that. I would love to hear what your takeaways were. I am just so inspired by each and every single one of you. Oh my gosh! Literally, I feel like the most, the luckiest woman in the world to be here. Oh, thank you, Holly. I love you too. I feel so lucky to be, you know, in your tribe, in your circle, on your side, building out your business, building out your legacy, and building out all of the things you truly desire because, oh my gosh, you are worth it! I love you guys, and I will see you soon. Bye!
