Hello, Facebook Live! I just wanted to come on here and talk to you guys today about honoring your commitment. So if you jump on, go ahead and say hello so I know that you're here. And if you are watching on replay, you can put hashtag replay and comment below as if you're watching live, and I will come back and answer all of your questions that you may have, and I will respond. And if I don't get back to you On here, I will definitely do another live, or you can message me with any questions. So this is something huge that comes up in my life and my business all of the time, because for those of you who have followed me, or those of you who may be new to watching my lives, I have been obsessed with personal development for years. About eight years ago, I got into a spiritual practice where I really got to realize how to discover what my core values were and what my core beliefs are. And a lot of that at the time, you know, 8 years ago, I was really in that space where I needed to learn how to honor myself and honor my commitments. Because what I realized I was doing was I was really like committing to a lot of things and I could never follow through because I would spread myself so that there was no foundation for me to be able to stand on. So I would overcommit, I would overplan, I would overschedule, and then I'd end up dropping everything. Because it's kind of like, you know, when you're juggling and you have so many balls in the air and you just, you end up just dropping everything. If you can relate with that, let me know. So those of you who do not know me, my name is Val Nichols and I'm a success coach for women. I love to share with you guys what I know, my experience, so I can help maybe just give you some more insight or maybe give you a different perspective on how to view the world, how to view your business. I love sharing my message, so if you are watching this and you think, oh my goodness, my friend needs to see this, feel free to share it. I do get people quite often that will message me and say, hey, can I share this with my friends? Yes, absolutely. Please do. The more the merrier. So if you can relate with that, just let me know. Give me like an emoji. Give me something so I know that I'm not just sharing on something that you guys are not interested in. So if you are the type of person who— oh goodness, sorry, I just changed the filter. So if you're the type of person who's watching this And you say, yeah, Val, that is totally me. Maybe you're the type of a person who doesn't quite know the right way how to say no and stand up for yourself either in your life or your business. Maybe you're the type of person whose calendar is so busy and you make so many commitments that you end up dropping the ball. If that's you, let me know. Maybe you're the type of person who you start something and you're gung-ho and you're full force in until you realize that you cannot foresee or totally and completely fulfill that commitment, right? I have so many people when they come to me for coaching that are in that space, and that could be whether, you know, maybe they've tried different programs in the past and they will be all gung-ho for maybe a couple weeks or a month and then they stop and they wonder why there's no results. You know, it's kind of like someone who's trying to lose weight. You get a gym membership, you know, this is pretty common on January 1st, you go and sign up at the gym and you go to the gym for 1 week or 2 weeks and you're like, ah, this 30 pounds is still there. Why am I not losing any weight? I ate a salad every day for like a week. Right? But there's no results. It's because we need to take a look inside and we really need to find out what it is that is our driving passion that is going to help us really fulfill our commitments to ourselves and to others. Because a lot of times, if we are not fulfilling our commitments in life or we are not fulfilling our commitments to our clients, maybe our family, Maybe it's our job, maybe it's a program that you signed up for, then what's happening is usually that traces back to you not having commitment to yourself. I mean, if you're willing to take a really honest look and dig a little bit deeper, a lot of times we're breaking our commitment to ourselves. And that can look like, let's say that you make a commitment to stop eating sugar. And a week goes by and then eventually you're like, oh well, I'm just gonna eat that piece of cake, or I'm gonna eat this bag of candy. Next thing you know, you're back on your daily kick of eating sugar. And those are things that, believe it or not, are a huge driving force of how we show up in the world. Because if we're breaking our commitments to ourselves, we start to subconsciously realize that we're not trustworthy, when we realize that when we commit to something, we're not going to see it all the way through, we start acting as if. We start really stepping into that belief that we're not the type of person that is going to fulfill a commitment. So how do we change it? You know, that's always the biggest part. I can come on here all day and talk to you guys about knowledge and give you value and, and let you know about techniques and tricks, but how How do we really implement that into our lives? That's the most important part. So how do we, as a person, as a business owner, as a you know anything, as as a woman, as a as a man, as a whatever you are, whatever you think of yourself, how do we show up and fulfill our commitments? A lot of times what has worked for me and what has worked for, you know, many of my clients that I work with one-on-one is we take a deep look at prioritizing your day. So that could look like, you know, maybe if you're a part of a couple of different organizations and you're realizing that you're just running yourself rampant, maybe you're doing more for your clients than you originally— the agreement originally was for. So I've seen this happen with clients I work with. They sell their clients on maybe a month package or a 3-month package, and what ends up happening is they can spend so much of their time, you know, doing all these other tasks that are really just sucking from them. And, you know, you end up overcommitting and overwasting your time, so you feel so drained that you will literally have a block from making more money or getting to the next level in your business. Because your brain will associate getting to the next level with total and complete exhaustion. Because here you are at, you know, 5 or 6 or 7 clients and you're already feeling so drained that you just, you don't even want to take any more on. So the thought of getting to the next level in your business, maybe that is doubling your income. You know, I just, I challenged a client recently with that. I had her, I asked her, What does it look like to be $400,000 you? And she about like got choked up and was like, oh my gosh, I can't even imagine it. I can't even envision that. And so I asked her to just kind of shift her perspective on it, and we dug a little bit deeper to find out what was really underneath committing to doubling her income this year. So Take a look in your life at what are you prioritizing. And if you're someone who has a business, a lot of times this may look like maybe you're a solopreneur like I am who is just taking on way too much and you're trying to do it all on your own and you don't have the right guidance. Maybe you're trying to DIY your business and you really have no strategy. You have no, no help. You don't have the right tribe around you. If you're like me, maybe there's stuff that you're— you— I was doing that totally and completely drained me. And those types of things for me are my monthly bookkeeping. You know, I want to be the type of person who's just like, okay, here's my credit card statement, here's my receipts, here, line it up. Like, I have learned that I need to just pay someone to do that because these are the things I dread. And then 6 months go along and I have this file fold folder full of receipts and all these things, and it's just such an overwhelming task that I can't even sit down and do it. Maybe you're a visionary and the thought of actually like sitting down and having a strategy for the year seems so overwhelming. Well, in that case, get a coach. Get someone who's gonna sit down with you and simplify the process and help you to really realize that it doesn't have to be so difficult. You know, if you're caught up in things like trying to figure out your ideal client and how to speak to them directly so that you're no longer drawing in those people that again are draining your energy, the ones who are hemming and hawing over your prices and saying, oh, I don't know, I can't really afford that, I don't know, you know, those types of people that are just draining you, that are not really adding to your bottom line, but they're asking a lot of your time time. Maybe these are the type of people who are inboxing you all the time. And if you're a, a coach or someone who is charging for your services and you know what your value and your worth is, but you have people who have gotten in the habit and the routine of inboxing you and sliding into your DMs all the time asking you for free advice, and you just, you don't know how to get out of this pattern. If you're in these places, what's going to happen is you're going to end up Just like that juggling analogy I talked about earlier in this live, like you're gonna get so overwhelmed and so burnt out that you're just gonna drop all the balls and you're gonna get to a place where you're like, ah, I'm just gonna go back to a corporate job because it was easier, right? And you don't have to do that. If you need support in this, get a coach, get a mentor, get a tribe around you that's going to help lift you up. Find someone who can teach you the easier way to do these things because it doesn't have to be hard. You know, I used to be that type of person that I spent 8 hours a day, if not more, on social media chasing clients, trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. You know, I invested in programs and I had coaches that were like, I don't know what you're doing wrong. I don't know, like nothing seems to— I, I don't understand why your programs aren't selling out. You're amazing. You, you add high value. Like, I don't understand what's happening. So it wasn't until I got with someone who was able to teach me the right mindset and the right strategy along with it, because I could have all the right strategy, like someone could seriously just, just map it all out and tell me step by step by step what to do to be successful. Someone can tell you step by step by step what to do, how to convert, you know, people who like you and people who love you into paid clients. But if you don't couple that with the right mindset, you're gonna get nowhere. And you're gonna be sitting here wondering why you're engaging all the time and why you're commenting and why you're loving this post and liking this post. And you know, you're, you're spending all this time working on your following, but your followers aren't converting into sales. If that's you, get on a call with me. I would love to chat with you about this because, um, I am opening up— let's see, it's the end of February— I'm opening up 3 spots in March for one-on-one coaching. So if that's your thing, if you want to learn how to do the right mindset and strategy, just let me know. We'll get on a call and we'll see, um, you know, for a good fit and do a consultation. But I just really, really, really want to emphasize the fact that if you're an online marketer, if you're in this space If you're the type of person who is overcommitting and you're not fulfilling your commitments to yourself or to your clients or to your family, whatever those things are, it might just come down to the fact that you need to just take a really deep look at what are your commitments, what is the meaning behind your commitments, and how are you prioritizing your life and your business in a way that is going to honor you, it is going to honor your values, and it is going to totally and completely honor the lifestyle that you truly want. Because think about it, if you are an online marketer, you're in the online space, if you're an entrepreneur, you didn't get into entrepreneurship to feel burnt out taken advantage of, overcommitted. You didn't get into the space for that. What you want to do is ease into the lifestyle that I am telling you is possible, where you can spend less time working, you can spend your time with friends and, you know, in relationships that matter to you, in personal development, in, you know, create a lifestyle from entrepreneurship that you truly desire, where you can travel, and take a day off if you want to, or, you know, only work with the clients that are truly connected, that are soul-aligned clients, and the types of people that you're just lit up to work with. Because believe me, a year ago I was not attracting the right people. I was not attracting people in my space that, you know, could honor themselves and honor their commitments. I was attracting people that would say, oh, I don't have the money. Or I'd get on calls, um, with people who would, you know, we'd go through the whole spiel and we'd go through consultations, and then they would tell me, oh, you know, I really, I can't afford you, and I, I knew that before we even got on this call, but I just really wanted to be in your energy and be in your space and talk to you. Okay, so these are the types of people I was attracting 9 months ago. You know, these are the types of people Now I can tell you that all of the clients I work with one-on-one, I am so incredibly pumped to get on a phone call with them or to be sitting in their office for— or for them to sit in my office with me because they are true soul-aligned clients that I didn't chase after. I, I don't really know, you know, some of them I know in real life and they've asked me like, hey, I need a coach and I want it to be you. Like, I want it to be you. And we even had different rela— a different relationship that we had to like change and morph so that they could work with me as a client one-on-one. Other people, like, I don't even know how they came in my space, but they'll, they'll find me, they'll watch my Facebook Lives, they'll see, you know, whatever it is that they see that, that they want, and they get on a call with me and they're like, I want to work with you. I— how much is it going to cost me? What is it going to look like? Like, I want to work with you. I want to be in your space. I want to be in your energy. You're doing things in life that I want to do. So how do I sign up? These are the types of people that you want. These are the types of people that you want to attract into your life and into your business. So how are you committing to yourself? How are you showing up in the world, in your business, Even in your calendar, how are you showing up in a way that honors your commitments, that honors the type of lifestyle that you really want? And where are you at in your space? I mean, if you're just really, really honest with yourself right now, if you just close your eyes and think about it, are you honoring your commitments to yourself? Are you honoring your commitments that you've made? And are you honoring the commitments that you have to build the life and the business that you really truly desire? I know that this can be one of those hard things where, you know, a lot of times people will say like they'll say they want to commit to being an entrepreneur and they say they want to do this, so maybe they'll get involved in a network marketing thing or multi-level marketing, or maybe they start becoming a coach or whatever it is, but then their actions do not honor that commitment because they'll get kind of frustrated and overwhelmed and they'll take on a job where they're now spending all of their time and energy in this, you know, exchanging their time for money. Essentially, they're exchanging their time for money when really, if they were taking that 40 hours a week and spending it in honoring their commitment to their self-employment or honoring their commitment to their network marketing, they would be killing it. They would be showing up in ways that, you know, if they had the right mindset and the right strategy behind it, they could show up in ways that they would just be blowing their income, you know, their income thoughts, they'd be blowing that out of the water. So where are you Honoring your commitments. I'm gonna leave you guys with that thought. I would love to hear some feedback from you guys, so it's not just me talking to you. I would love to hear your feedback on, you know, if you're— if you get real with yourself and ask yourself, where am I at on the spectrum? If, if you had a breakthrough during this, during this live, and you really thought, wow, yeah, I need to take a look at my commitments, let me know. I would love to come on live and talk more about this. Or talk more about things like this if you guys are interested. So let me know. I love you guys so much, and I am just going to encourage you today to take a look at your commitments and ask yourself if they're in alignment with the life and the business that you really want. And if not, what are you going to do today? What are you going to do this week? To shift your perspective and shift into that space where you're showing up 100% authentic to who you are and in alignment with the lifestyle that you really want. I love you guys so much, and I will talk to you soon. Bye!
