If you guys have been here, you know, you know. If you don't know, we are in the 15 Days of May business extravaganza. I'm going to be talking all about one of my favorite things to talk about, which is visibility and social media. And I just want to talk to you guys about this rule of 80/20 because this is going to be a very valuable thing That you can implement right away into your content. So often people ask me, I don't know what to post. I want to be more visible online, or I spend three hours on a reel and I get crickets. The rule of eighty twenty: if you are looking to maximize your visibility online, if you're like, hey, I know that this is where I need to be because there's so much potential. Maybe you're a local business, maybe you're a real estate agent, maybe you're a coach, a creative, and you're like, I don't know what I should be posting online. Do I post? My food? Do I post my kids? Do I post on my personal page or what do I do? So if you have any of those questions, let me know below. So I know what, how to guide this over the next few days because there's so much content we can go over with social media. And I wanna know what you guys are looking for. If you are looking to grow your business online, if you're looking to maximize your reach and maximize your visibility on social media, I want you to write this down: 80/20 rule. And what that means is 80% of the time you want to be doing the following categories I'm going to share with you, and then 20% is promotion. Because nobody wants to buy from someone who is constantly promoting, throwing things in their face like, oh my goodness, this person just wants my money. We've all seen those people. We've all felt that feeling. We all know what that feels like and it's like, ugh, we don't want that. So if you want to be successful in your business on social media, if you want to grow your influence, create more income, get more of your ideal clients, and also maximize your visibility, what you want to do is 80% of the time you want to be doing the following categories. Number one is you want to educate. There's tons of ways to do that now. Carousels are huge. We have Reels are now more educational, not just like funny skits or people dancing. You can educate your clients. Maybe it's on something that's going on in your industry, or, you know, maybe it's the housing market. What is the current housing market right now? What is trending in social media? Media, or, you know, what is the algorithm really liking right now? You can be educating your clients. You can entertain, but I do some like relatable funny things with my ADHD content. You know, kind of just playful and funny, and just know that this is a way you can really truly bring out your personality because the last thing you want to do is just look like a copy-paste version of someone else. That is the last thing you want to do because I believe that with AI, it's already moving us toward this structure of sameness where everyone is eventually going to sound exactly the same because they're using exactly the same database mentality. Of AI. So you want to really show your personal self, you want to show those quirky, fun things about you, you want to have fun with your audience so that people can really get to know you. Because this also is going to help you to maximize your know, like, and trust. These are very important aspects when you're building your business, and you're building your brand online. And then the other category you want to do, you want to inspire. So a lot of people can get into this place of inspire, inspire, inspire, inspire. You're hearing, oh my gosh, you're so inspiring, but people aren't actually buying from you. People aren't actually pulling out their credit cards and buying from you. I actually talked about this on Friday, so go back and check that out. If you guys have not signed up for the 15 Days of May, put May in the comments. You want to make sure that you're not just inspiring, you're not just like motivational, and then you're landing it there. You're leaving it there because what you're going to do, you guys, and this is so painful, I've done it myself, is you're going to actually inspire and motivate people to go work with someone else. Been there. It sucks. It's not fun when you put all this work into, you know, really inspiring and motivating people and then all of a sudden they're like, oh, thanks, I'm going to go work with this person now. And so what you want to do is you want to educate, Entertain, inspire, and then the last one is motivate. Motivate is motivation to action, and this also takes a little bit of strategy because you want to know what is the action that you want your ideal clients to take. This is so much different than just throwing random posts out there, throwing spaghetti at the wall, and hoping that something sticks. You want to really motivate them to action, and so in order to do that, you need to know. What is the action that you want them to take? Whether if that is you want them to book a call with you or get on a sales call, have a listing with you. Maybe you want them to go sign up for a free masterclass you're doing, or maybe you want them to join in on a certain offer. Like what is the thing that you want them to do? You wanna be motivating them to take action, which is your business offers. If someone lands on your page, maybe they see a really cool reel you do, or they see like this educational carousel and they're like, oh my gosh, I need to learn more about this person. They're probably going to do the 1, 2 scroll. And in that time, if you have not shown them that you are a real person, that you are not just a robot or someone that just wants to sell to them, if you showed them you're a real person and you've also educated them, given them valuable information, and content, and then you're gonna say, hey, and by the way, this is how you work with me and this is my clear offer, then they're gonna be inspired and motivated to take action. But if you don't have that and they look at your profile and they're just kind of confused or not sure why they should follow you, not sure why they should buy from you or why they should book the call or whatever the action is, then they're just gonna keep going. I mean, attention spans are like this nowadays. And if you want to get visible on social media, if you want to stand out amongst the noise, if you want to break through all of the clatter, all of the baloney AI stuff that is just bland and boring, and you want to stand out, you want to really focus on creating an authentic, beautiful, vulnerable, visible social media. And this starts with knowing your 80/20. 80% is going to be educational, entertainment, motivational, and inspiring. And then 20% is going to be business, promoting your stuff, maybe a call to action, whatever that is for you. There is a little bit of strategy behind this, but I want you guys to really make an effort to start putting this into action. And if you have any questions, let me know in the comments. You can also jump over into my group. Again, if you sign up for the 15 Days of May, we will have you in the group. You can go in there and ask any questions that you have, and I will come back and answer those. I've worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs at this point. I personally have grown my business through the power of social media. If you want to maximize your visibility, if you want to get more aligned, authentic, beautiful clients, you want to show who you really are, this is for you. 80/20 rule will help you to maximize your visibility. It's going to help you cut through the noise, boost you above your competition, stand out among the crowd. And if you want people to get curious, to be influenced by you, I talked about this on Friday in the 15 Days of May, that people don't pay for inspiring information. There's a lot of people out there inspiring others, reposting quotes, but I don't see them. I'm not seeing them. I'm not seeing you. And so people aren't pulling out their credit cards and paying you to be inspiring. They're paying you when they're influenced. And how you create influence is by creating the know, the like, and the trust. And that happens through creating a social media strategy in the 80/20 rule, where 80% of the time you are educating, entertaining, inspiring, and motivating to action. And then the other 20% is promotion, calls to action, and straight up sales. I hope that gave you guys a ton of value. Thank you so much for watching this, and I'm going to be back tomorrow for more social media juicy, delicious content creation tips and tricks. So hang in, hang out, sign up for 15 Days of May and have access to all of the replays. Again, I love you guys. My name is Val Nichols.
