Here we are. Welcome to the Sizzle Masterclass. Oh my goodness, you guys, we are in for so much value, so much juiciness, so much deliciousness. And this is going to be the powerful brand secrets and the strategy for a 6-figure business. Oh my goodness. Let me know in the comments if you are super pumped. I'm going to be talking about the pillars that it takes to create that, that sizzle factor in your brand. These are the things I've used over the last, you know, since I built my brand, but I really refocused on them over the past 12 months when we went through the craziness that we went through. And you guys all know, and you know, like the rest is history. So let's jump into this today. I am going to be teaching you the 7 simple steps it takes to get your startup, your small business brand, and from feeling scattered, right? How many of you guys have ever felt that, like you feel scattered, you feel like you're not really sure what direction to go, or, you know, maybe you're just kind of throwing things up against the wall, like throwing spaghetti against the wall, like wondering if anything's going to stick. And, you know, if you're feeling that, if you're feeling disconnected, you're going to learn how to feel structured. And you will know how to attract the cash, the clients, and the sales online. If you guys would like more cash, more clients, and more sales online, give me a heck yes in the comments. I would love to hear. So, you know, the reason why this is so important is that so often, you know, I work with a ton of different businesses. So anything from like a startup, an existing business, You know, I help people with their launches. I help people, you know, like really like expand and grow. And the crazy thing is, a lot of times, you know, you don't really know where to put your best— like, where's your best investment, right? Where's the best place to invest or put your money into? And as crazy as this might seem, you might be like, whoa, whoa, wait a minute, hold up, Val. What the heck does this have to do with branding? But I've noticed that when we— when you dive deep into your branding, right, like you dive deep into your, your sizzle factor and you, you kind of know like the 7 pillars of what your brand stands for, who you're attracting. I'll go over that later. But, um, you know, like, you know where to put your best investment. I have literally— oh my gosh, you guys, I reclaimed so much cash that I was putting— I was injecting cash into the like Not necessarily the wrong places, but I was definitely not seeing the ROI. And when I really focused on my brand, I was able to look at that and go, whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, so my ROI, or if I show up here, is worth so much more of my time than, than over here. So I've really been able to dive into that and figure that out. You know, these are some of the things that have just been amazing to magnetically attract clients where Disclaimer, I do not, do not, do not, do not teach anybody to cold message. I do not teach cold messaging like, you know, the messaging you get on like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, where it's like you friend request someone and then you like pop in their mailbox, you pop in their DMs with, hey girl, just want to know, do you have any questions about losing weight? 'Cause I'm a weight loss coach and I would love for you to help me reach my goals. Like, none of that. Everything I've done in my business has been through organic growth. Organic growth. This means, you know, I, okay, I'm not gonna say no ads because I have used ads for some events that I run. But honestly, like, as far as building my following and that, like, nope, no ads. I'm gonna teach you guys that as well. Okay. Okay, so who the heck am I? Who am I? I'm Val Nichols. And you guys know, if you know me, you know my brand, you know you're going to find pink, you're going to find sparkles, you're going to find a lot of energy. And you're going to get a ton of value. So I'm Val Nichols. I help entrepreneurs, small businesses, business leaders just like you. I teach them how to monetize their brands, how to make money. And how they can scale and grow and create passive income. Like I said, I have definitely worked less in my company than ever. This morning I went to a really kick-ass, haha, kick-ass kickboxing class and it was so fun. I was just like, oh my gosh, I can't believe I get to do this, right? And last week we took like 5 days off, off-grid. We were totally off-grid. And it was so much fun. And then I got to come back and just be in my company. And, you know, things work, things work well without me actually working in my company at this point. Because I focused so much on building out that strategy, you know, really increasing my visibility, creating authority, converting sales online, helping you to, you know, really getting into that part of like my wild goals in my business and really like activating that in my clients. Right? My clients are having just insane, insane, insane results right now. And it has just been like celebration city in my world, in my life over the last couple of months for sure. All right. So the pillars of a magical brand strategy. Okay. So I started my first business at 11. So yes, I have been in business a freaking long time, right? I am obsessed with business. I am constantly reading books, going to webinars, going to conferences. I invest a crap ton in my own coaching and development. And, you know, the reason why this is so important is because, like, I'm not just a business coach that popped up on Facebook one day and was like, I'm a business, look at me, right? Like, can that happen? Yeah, totally. But, you know, like, when you guys know that the stuff I'm teaching you is stuff that has worked for huge companies, right? I've worked as a marketing manager, so I was behind the scenes working with these brands one-on-one. Toyota, Fuel TV, Dr Pepper Cherry, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Susan Komen, the NBA. I am currently still contracted with T-Mobile. I work with T-Mobile to create their brand strategy, right? Their brand strategy here in Oregon. So I'm Right now I'm in Central Oregon mostly because there's been some, you know, like they're based out of Seattle, so they're, they're super strict with their COVID regulations and we're kind of expanding a little bit more at this point. But just know that, you know, the stuff I'm teaching you guys is not just like a social media strategy or anything like that. Like I have the history, the depth, the weight. I've been working with these companies, you know, on and off. I was— I'm contracted, but since 2006, right? So I've been through the market crash. I made a ton of money during the market crash when I was marketing for these companies freelance. So I had like a marketing agency and I was making, you know, $10,000, $12,000 a month working for these huge companies, which was so fun during 2008, 2009, right? Like 2008, 2009, 2010 were some of my biggest months because the brands know that when the money's low, right? Like we're just coming out of a recession. We're just coming out of a recession. And in 2008, I saw that happening and I was selling insurance at the time. I was selling insurance and I was in business school. And I ended up dropping out of business school because what they were teaching me like really had nothing to do with what these big brands were actually doing. Right. So I dropped out of business school and I started just, you know, freelancing, working all over the country, traveling, doing all these things. And I saw what worked after a major recession, because after a major recession, these brands— take notes. This is super important. These brands invested and poured 100% of their effort into building their brand. So they could build their awareness, get in front of consumers so they didn't become irrelevant after the recession. Huge, right? This is a big key. If you guys want to have the success like Nike, Toyota, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Dr Pepper, like listen to that. Listen to that. This is the perfect time to be diving into this and to be really you know focusing on your sizzle factor. So between 2014, 2013, I ended up getting my coaching license and I became a life coach. What ended up happening though was because I was so much in business, right, on and off of business, like off and on, off and on, I ended up getting a lot of clients that were business clients. So I started doing business coaching. And because of my own lack of belief in myself. I'm going to be totally and completely transparent with you guys. Because of my imposter syndrome and because of the lack of belief in myself that I had, I spent the next 4 years starting a business, quitting and going back to corporate, starting my business, treating it like a hobby, having some success, yes. But then I would allow myself to retreat and I would go crawling back to my corporate job because it felt safer, because I was, I was so afraid of that visibility, right? I was so afraid. This was so important to me that I was afraid to actually take the leap. I was afraid to go all in. So I kept doing this thing where I would, I would start and then I'd stop and then I'd start and I'd be all in. I'd be excited and then I'd stop, start, stop, start, stop. And I could, I could start things really well. But when it came to actually completing, I really lacked in that during that period. During that period, I really lacked in that. So if you're feeling that energy, if you're in that space right now, just know that you can, you can get out of it and you can have wild, amazing, fearless success. Okay, just know that. Trust me. Trust me. Alright, so here are some of the brands I've worked for. I just want to share with you guys. These are brands that I've, you know, either done like marketing consulting with, I've worked with one-on-one, a couple of radio stations. There's also one in Portland that I didn't put up here. I've helped build out, you know, I work for T-Mobile now. I've helped a couple different missions. Like, I don't know if you guys are into like missions and stuff, but I've helped a couple different ministries here, Lift Ministry. I actually started out my very first like corporate brand, like job, J-O-B, not when I was like doing it on my own, was at this place called Boston's Gourmet Pizza. It was adorable. I got to go do all these like press things and be on the news here locally. And it was really fun. And I realized like, dang, I was meant for this, right? Like I was meant for this. And so that's when I left this J-O-B. That was, you know, it was paying me pretty well, but I went out and I did this. I did this for companies all across the Northwest. It was so much fun. I've also done a couple of different, so like here I have a rebrand I did for a woman. And after we did her rebrand, she ended up hitting the biggest month. This is one of my clients. She hit the biggest month she's ever had in December of 2020. December of 2020, you guys, like the biggest month she's ever had. Three months working with me, she hit the biggest month ever. All right, guys. I wanted to have a little bit of celebration for you. Just know that this is all fun and we're just having spontaneous. And also know that like what I'm talking about here doesn't just— it's not just me, right? Like I'm not just getting these results. Like I have incredible, amazing like business leaders and women who are running multiple companies. I have coaches, I have a massage therapist, I have products that are, you know, people who have like brick and mortars who have used this strategy, who've used the sizzle factor. Who've used the strategy that I'm teaching you to have incredible results, right? Incredible results. We're getting in that celebration energy. So you can build— if you walk away from anything in this, you guys, Just know that you can build a magical bold brand, just like Denna. Denna is one of my clients. She joined my program, the Bold and Branded course, in May 2021, and she was able to hit her first $25,000 month with. Ease after she implemented and took action on what she learned in the Bold and Branded class. So you guys, she was the type of woman. Denna is amazing, and I know that she wouldn't care if I share the story. She might even be on here right now. But you know, she was the type of woman where she was like, you know, I like it was so cute. We get we in our first time, our first session of the Bold and Branded course. She was like, girl, I have to make this work. I have to. Like there is no other way. I am all in on this because like there's no other way. Like this has to work. I've been going at my business for a while and I am literally sitting at my laptop for 7 hours a day spinning my wheels, not making crap for money. I was like, girl, I love your fierceness. Let's talk. Let's just, come on, girl, do this. And she was like, oh my gosh, I think she was making— I might not be totally correct on this, but if I remember right, she was making maybe $1,100, $1,500 a month. Sometimes she would jump up to like $2,000. But she knew if she, if she was really going to make this her thing, her full-time thing online, that she needed to be able to supplement her income that she was making so that she could quit that corporate job. walk away, never look back like I did in July 2018. So, you know, just know that you can absolutely do this just like Dena. And, you know, now she is consistently hitting those 5-figure months. She is still hitting them. They're getting higher and higher and higher. Last time I talked to her, we did work together one-on-one for a while, but she's now like off and running, right? Like she took the program, she took the Bold and Branded, we worked together one-on-one. She's off and do— like she's doing it, right? Like she is doing it. And it is amazing to watch her grow. And so just know, like, if you're like, but I'm not tech savvy, I'm not any of this, this woman barely knew how to use Zoom on her phone. Okay? Like our first call, she's like, I'm on my phone. I don't even know what I'm doing. How do I see the comments? What do I do? Like, what is Facebook? Like she barely knew how to even like use like simple tech. So just know that if that's you, then don't worry about it. You got this. You can be like Dena, right? Because when you implement and when you take action on these strategies, you will get amazing results. And of course, the important part is implementing and taking action. Action. I mean, you could watch all of my free trainings I do. You could watch my lives. You could go read all my content. And of course, you know, if you're not implementing and taking action, you are not going to get the results. So as you watch this masterclass, write down all of the actions, all of the steps that I'm going to give you, because I'm going to give you simple Action steps to take right now. Write it all down because I am sharing it for a reason. Okay, like I am sharing it for a reason. And here are some of my clients' results in 2020, just because I hear all the time, well, nobody was buying in 2020. No one's buying. No one's doing anything. No one, no one, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So my client Lisa Came to me in February after a cold, dry spell. She said, Val, I have not made a single sale, and in April of 2020, I owe $26,000 in taxes. I don't have the money. I don't have the money. So I need to create some really quick cash injection. I need to like manifest and create that cash, that $26,000. in 2 months unless I don't know what I'm gonna do. I looked at her and I'm like, okay, let's do it. Let's go. Let's create this. Let's do it. And let me tell you, it was 4 weeks later that she was like, hot damn, I hit that number. Not only that, she hit— we had made a goal for $400,000 that year, but she ended up making $384,000, which honestly, at the end of the day, we ended up having a celebration. I brought her— I bought her a plaque. She became the top sales agent in her entire company. It was more than double what she'd made the year before. More than double what she'd made the year before. And, you know, another one of my clients left her corporate job and started her business the day that Oregon went into shutdown. You guys, I was on a plane coming back from San Diego as the world was shutting down, and the only thing I could think about was like Oh my gosh, she just quit her corporate job, just walked away from everything she's ever known and is starting her own business. What? Oh my gosh, what is she going through right now? But let me tell you, she's not hurting today. She went on to make $90,000 over the last 12 months and she's expanding her company and acquiring another one right now as we speak, not to mention Her other business, which her and her husband own together, more than doubled their profit. They ended the year with like $250,000 and they are expanding as well. They're building out a bigger bookstore. They're expanding. They're, they're, it's insane like this. So if you think that people are not buying now, if you think that right now is not a good time to start a business or rebrand or get into your thing, like get serious about your business, then I just want to I want to, um, be your expander. I want my clients here, their results, to show you that now is the time. Now is the time. And again, Dena had a $35,000 launch. She started with zero following, zero business. She had like a plan and she'd throw stuff out there every once in a while and like get no sales, but she didn't have any sort of like product suite, brand implemented, anything like that. And she had had zero sales. Zero sales. All right. So this is what we are going to cover today. What is the brand? Why do you need a brand strategy? What are the 4 questions you must answer To build out your gorgeous, beautiful brand. I'm going to teach you that. What are the three stages in your client journey? And of course, how can I help you further? Because you know there's there's going to be next steps, and I would love if you would allow me to partner with you to build your brand as well. There's lots of different ways to do that, so we will cover that as well. All right, and if you stay to the end. I am not gonna be the one that's like, okay, see ya, bye, great information, now go figure it out, right? Like, I'm gonna— if you stay till the end, I'm gonna share with you an exclusive bonus and the powerful next step to create your iconic, bold, beautiful brand, your profitable and fully authentic brand. Authentic, authentic, authentic. This is what is key for me is the authenticity, right? Because if you're building a brand and it looks like someone else, it feels like someone else, it's not you, it's not authentic, it's not speaking the language of both you and your ideal client, it's going to feel fake. You're going to burn out and people will see it, right? People will, people will see right through it. They'll, for some reason, like they may not pick up on it consciously, they may not pick up on it consciously, but what will happen Is for some reason there's going to be a lack of trust. They're not going to trust you, whether— like, they might, may not even like really consciously know why. But have you guys ever done that where like you come across a brand or you come across someone and you're like, I don't know why, but I don't quite trust that person? I know for me it's always when someone's like kind of standoffish, or if I'm feeling like there's a motive that's wrong, when you're not clear in your message or it's not authentic for you. then a lot of times what happens is people, like, they have that experience, right? Like, they might pull back a little bit or be like, I'm not sure why. Like, I like her content, I like her, but something's a little bit off, right? Like, something's off. So if you're not authentic, it's kind of like being on a date, right? And share in the comments, you guys, like, what would you rate your current brand? What would you rate your current brand? I'm gonna stop sharing the screen real quick and see if I can see your guys' comments. So, you know, it's kind of like being on a date. Have you guys ever, like, I don't know, I had a period of time where I went on a lot of dates, right? I was trying to figure it out, like who I was dating wasn't really working. So I was trying to like, you know, figure out what was that thing. And, you know, the thing I promised myself when I was dating was that I was going to show up authentically 100% who I was, right? Like I wasn't going to put on a mask. I wasn't going to pretend to be something I wasn't. I wasn't going to, you know, like act like I was someone I wasn't, because I really truly, I knew that if I wanted to attract my ideal person, which happily I did in 2016, when he literally walked into my life after I manifested him, totally different story for another day. But, you know, like, I wanted to make sure that if I was going to be on a date with somebody, I wanted to show up in my authentic self. I wanted to be like who I am. truly so that I wasn't giving a false perception, right? Like, I wasn't giving a false perception of who I was, or, you know, like, I wasn't showing up in that, like, fake energy because I wanted to attract the right person. Hi, Leslie. Hello, hello, my love. So building your brand is just like that. Building your brand is just like that. You want it to be authentic, you want it to show up the way it is, you want to, you know, be tentative to your suitor, be tentative to your audience, you know, like speak their language, hear them, have the empathy, feel what they're feeling, and show them that, hey, like I'm the one for you. Right, if you want the ring on the finger, if you want them to put a ring on it, aka buy from you, you know, buy your products, keep coming back for more, all of those things, then what you want to do is you want to really truly be in your authenticity, right? I had a business coach, you guys. I'm okay, another raw moment here. Um, I had a business coach once that was amazing at the personal development we did. We did some personal development work, and that was like right when I was leaving my corporate job, and it was amazing. Oh my gosh, like I did, I achieved so much in that program I was in. And then I hired her one-on-one for business coaching. She was like, oh yeah, I could, I could coach your business too, la la la, I've done this, I've done that. And I was like, okay, yeah. And, you know, honestly, like I felt the way she wanted me to build my business was so inauthentic. The strategies didn't feel right. Like, I felt like it was like she wanted me to kind of like repeat or replicate her brand, and it just, it didn't feel real. It didn't feel right. She told me that, you know, pink and all these things aren't good for, you know, like female business coaches shouldn't have pink brands. And I was like, but that's who I am. Like, I don't even think if I showed up with something else that my people would even like know, you know, like they wouldn't even know what to do. So, you know, just know that when you're building out your brand, you always want to tap into what's true and what's authentic for you. Because at the end of the day, you're taking a stand, right? You're taking a stand in your business, you're taking a stand in your life, and you are ultimately, whether you're a personal brand or if you're building out a business brand, It's you that is going to attract your ideal clients. It is 100% you that will attract your ideal clients, that will create those raving fans, that will keep them coming back, that will, you know, whether or not people buy from you, it will all be based upon how you show up and if you're being authentic. All right. Are you guys good? Check-in time. Are you doing all right? Can we go forward? I know I'm giving you a lot of information here. Let's go ahead and move forward. So when we talk about the 4 pillars of the sizzle factor, there are 7. I'm only going to go over 4 right now because 7, like, some of them are a little bit kind of the same. But I want to go into like the 4 biggest reasons. The 4 things are, number one, clear associations you want to create in your brand. When people think of your brand, what do you want them to think about? What do you want them to associate your brand with? Wealth? Adventure? Um, carefree? Travel? Makeup? What is it that you want them to associate? Number 2 is reasons for clients to connect with you. This is something huge. I see people missing all of the time. Why, why should people reach out? You know, it's, it's not good enough to— and I'm only saying this because this was my thought process when I started my business— was I'm going to create a Facebook page, a business page, and I'm going to get tons of sales. I'm going to put my offer out there and everybody's going to buy it. But I did not give my clients a good enough reason why. Why do they need to connect with me? Why am I the one to help them? I lacked that huge, you guys. So don't make the same mistake I did. And then you also want to look at your bold brand blueprint. And that's something I do teach in the Bold and Branded, the Bold and Branded course. It's amazing. It's incredible. But we'll take a look at that today. And then your ROI, which is your return on investment. For those of you who don't know that, I know that's pretty basic one, but ROI is you, when you invest in your brand, when you invest in you, when you invest in developing this brand. You will see the return on investment, the cash, the money, and the sales. And if you want more sales, more cash money in your business, give me a heck yes. Say cha-ching in the comments. Cha-ching. I'm going to write it in there. So you guys go ahead and write it too. Cha-ching. So when we talk about the pillars of your bold brand, aka the sizzle factor. I want you guys to think about what do you want people to associate with when people think about your brand. It's, you know, brand is like the feeling. Brand is not your logo. That's branding, right? Branding— logos, fonts, colors, all of that— that is, I mean, that's more branding, which I do teach that, um, in the Bold and Branded. But, you know, like, it's more about an Right? Your brand is an experience. What experience do they have? What do they associate you with? What do they— when they think of you, when they think about your brand, what are they associating? Right? So, you know, when I talk about that, it's kind of like— so when I talk about— when I say cell phones, or if I say Q-tips, right? If I say Q-tips, Or if I say like ear swab, you think Q-tip. If I say like tissue, you think Kleenex, right? So when I talk about cell phones, here's an interesting study. When I think about cell phones, what brands do you think about? What brands do you think about? Well, based upon this study I have here, they— 49% of people, because Apple has been so incredible in identifying their brand, they've said we're innovative. We offer one product, we offer it well, and we create scarcity and we create a lot of FOMO, fear of missing out. Apple is amazing at this. And as a result, because they developed their brand, they have people standing outside camping on the sidewalks for days to get the new Apple phone. I am not kidding. I don't know if it's like that around the whole world, but in pre-pandemic In Portland, Oregon, because there's been a lot of riots and stuff in Portland, Oregon, when I was living there downtown, I would watch people camp out on the sidewalk to get the new iPhone. I don't know about you, but I want that in my business. I want people camping out waiting for the link, waiting to buy now. People messaging me saying, I want that link, get me in that program. And that happens for me now, right? Like, it's literally mind-blowing. But it's because of developing your brand. So 27% Samsung, 12% LG, 3% Motorola, and then there was only 2% that were Huawei, which is a bigger— they're a bigger company outside of the US. But like, this is where, you know, people have mental cues, right? That's kind of what you're developing, mental cues. Then when people think of branding, you want them to think about Val. When people think about milk alternatives, they want to think about Sherry's Hazel Cream, right? That's an amazing— by the way, go check out that website. This is a total plug for one of my clients. She just released— is releasing— she's doing pre-sales of this amazing milk alternative. It's like a little packet, so it's super easy to like travel with or keep in your cupboard, and you can just mix it with water and it is freaking delicious. It's a proprietary blend of It's nut-based. I'll just say that. You guys go check out the website after this. After this, write down Sherri's Hazel Cream and go check it out after this because it's incredible. She just released it. Alright, so here's a great quote from Steve Jobs. Speaking of Apple, the man, the myth, the legend himself, he says, this is a very complicated world. It's a very noisy world. And we're not going to get a chance to get people To remember much about us. No company is. And so we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. We have to get really clear. So what is it? Go ahead, if you can think of it right now, write in the comments or write it down on your notepad. What is it that you want people to remember when they think about you or your brands? What is it? Because like Steve here said, rest his soul, he was a very genius, incredible, amazing man. It is very noisy. And we want people to remember us, you guys, the current currency I've not shared this outside of my, um, my mastermind I'm in, but the current currency is knowledge, right? This is what, you know, all the big, like, big people are talking about. This knowledge is the currency, and the way, you know, like, the way you create yours, the way you create yours is taking a stand. Being remembered. So attention, getting attention and creating memorable experience is 100% the secret to building a profitable brand. Okay, that's it. Webinar over. You guys can go make a million dollars now. Just kidding. I get to give you more value. All right, so create the magic. Why, when, and how? You want to create your bold brand? Let's talk about why, when, how. Why does your brand exist? Why do you exist? What are you here for? Why is your brand here? My brand exists to empower women to be seen, to use the voice that they may have had suppressed for far too long. My brand exists So that women who have a dream, who are feeling called, who are feeling pulled towards something bigger than themselves because they've made their money, they've done that. Now they want to do something that's freaking passionate, that lights them up, or when they get out of bed in the morning, they are so freaking excited because they wake up and they're like, oh, oh my gosh, I cannot believe this is my real life. I actually get to do this and I get paid really well. I get paid really well. That's why my brand exists. That's why my company— that's why I wake up every single morning and do what I do is because of that. When? Right now. Let's go get on a call with me. Let's talk about, you know, your strategy. Let's find out what the best thing for you to fall into, because I have several different pillars, several different ways to work with me. Now let's do it now. How? DM me. Email me, val@valnickels.com. Email me right now. We'll do it. How? How? We're going to create the strategy. We're going to look at your dream. We're going to look at the goals you want to desire. Because if I say success, every single one of you would have a different story. Does success to you look like spending more time with my kid because I get to be at home with him? And, you know, now I get to like be in his life in real time. I get to have the blessing of being a mom and still make money while he's napping. That's success. Success for me looks like having the freedom that I desire because when I was working in corporate, I'm gonna tell you, I was like pissed. I was pissed off that I had to be in this, this, this box. From this time to this time because somebody else told me. I was mad that like I couldn't just go do a cool conference because I only had an hour lunch break and that, you know, I had to like run all the way over to town to get to my Toastmasters meeting and then skate back and hope that nobody noticed I was like 15 minutes late. I was mad that like someone was telling me the cap of what I was worth when I knew, I knew I was worthy of more. Right? So I take a look at those strategies, like what is the success? What is that benchmark for you? What do you want to desire? What do you want to create in the world? Great, let's reverse engineer that and make that happen. So why does your brand exist? Go deep. When, when are you helping them? Are you helping them lose 5 pounds after having a baby? Are you helping the woman who has her wedding come up, um, lose the extra 15 pounds so she can fit into like a glove into her beautiful dress? How do you do it? Do you do it through like, um, strategic food planning and exercise implementation? How? Why? When? This is how you create the magic. So what is a good brand strategy? Remember, you want to create a bold brand right from the start, right? So what is a good brand strategy? It's relevant. You want to stay relevant to your audience. You want to stay relevant You want to be differentiated. What helps you stand out in the crowd? Starbucks has done very well at this. You want to differentiate yourself from the other people because you know what, no matter what niche, niche you're in, there is competition, right? I don't believe in competition. I believe in collaboration. But let's be honest, there are other people competing for the same audience and the same reasons. So you want to be authentic, right? We talked about that a ton. You want to keep it simple. You guys, we overcomplicate the crap out of things, right? We overcomplicate the crap out of things. That's why I am the simple strategy queen. Like my clients have said that, like it's simple. It's actionable. You have actionable steps like we're doing today. And it's sustainable. You want to make sure that what your— what strategy you have, the strategy you have in place, you can lather, rinse, repeat, and maybe do some adjustments along the way. But you want to make sure it's not just like the trending, what's hot now. Like, okay, so right now Instagram Reels are hot, so I'm going to base my entire strategy around that. Because you cannot, cannot, cannot— repeat with me— you cannot put all of your eggs in one basket. If you're sitting around like planning to plan to, or waiting to wait to, or you're waiting for like that one thing to happen because that one thing is going to be the thing that's going to make you know, everything happened. What if it doesn't? What if it doesn't? You want to make sure that you're diversifying it, you're creating a strategy that goes across all the platforms that is sustainable so that you can create that longevity, right? Because God forbid, like, what if all of your social media went away today? What if you got shut down? You need to know how to continue to make money if social media shut down. I remember I was in LA for the Tony Robbins conference. In 2018, I believe, and Instagram and Facebook went dark for a day. And I was in, I was in this like amazing apartment. Like it was so cool. There was like fountains. And I know a lot of you guys who did my March Money Madness back then, you saw that I was like in the, in the lobby and I showed you guys like these fountains and all these really cool things. And all of us were like digital entrepreneurs. And so these girls are like flipping out because now they can't get ahold of their audience. They've got things. And I'm like, I'm good. You guys all worry, but like literally with like a couple pushes of a button, like I'm still in contact with my audience, right? So you want to make sure it's sustainable. Because you do not want to put all of your eggs in one basket for that very reason. You do not own social media and they have the rights— the rights— they are a company. They have the right to extract anything that they want or shut anything down or erase one of your lives, which they've done for me. But yeah. Just know that. Okay, so talking about a magical brand, talking about a bold, beautiful brand. Look at these 2 logos that I have here. Who recognizes these? Raise your hands in the comments. Let me know if you recognize these 2 logos that I have here. As you guys know, Disney. Why do they exist? What is their brand strategy? Disney exists to create magical memories that last a lifetime. Disney exists to create magical memories that last a lifetime. They don't say anything about, oh, we're a theme park. You go and you stand in line for like an hour and then you get to ride your ride and it's really hot and you're with a bunch of people and like you wait forever, but then, then you get to, then you get to be in the ride, right? They create an experience. Everything at Disney is a science, is an art, all the way down to the guy that's sweeping the streets. They are casted. They are casted. Starbucks. They exist to inspire and nurture the human spirit, one person, one cup, in one neighborhood at a time. Beautiful. All right, so the 3 steps— these are 3 different pieces of research to get 3 sources of insight. When we talk about relevant, you want to be relevant to your customer. So really get into their minds. I'm not talking about being a mind reader or investing in like, I don't know, some mind reading like thing that comes out in the future. But like, listen, listen to your customers, find out their pain points, find out their pleasures, find out their desires, find out what do they truly want and be relevant to them, right? There's a lot of people right now on social media, Instagram, TikTok that are making it about them, right? They want to be famous and they want to like, you know, make— get these big followings and all these things. But the thing is, like, I literally had a client last year. Yeah, we started working together in 2020. And she had 10,000 followers on her Instagram and then a business page on Facebook that was followed by like, I don't know, 35,000 people. And she was not making any She made $0. She was not monetizing her company at all. And most of her content was just about her, right? That doesn't sell. That does not sell. Would you rather— let me ask you this. Would you rather be rich or do you want to be famous? Write it in the comments. I'd love to hear you guys. I would love to see what your comments are. So you want to be authentic. What is your company story, right? We talked about that. What is your company story? Why do you exist? For who? And you want to differentiate yourself. What makes you different from your competition? What makes you stand out? Why should people work with you? So those are the 3 steps. Alright guys, so you want to remember, you want to create your bold brand right from the start. So as of now, you have 2 options. If you want to brand right, right from the start, you can watch this, this training and say, okay, great, that was really fun. Wow, I got a lot of information. It sounds awesome. It sounds cool. Like, yeah, like I totally, I definitely want to write out my brand story and I want to look at my brand and I really, I want to. And then you could walk away and do nothing. You could do nothing, right? Go. That was so fun. That was so fun. So cool. Yeah, I'll get to that. I'll do, I'll, I'm I'm fixing to fix it. I can do it. I will do it. I'm going to get really excited. I'm going to start and then I'm going to stop. Or I'm going to allow myself to feel like, oh my gosh, what if this doesn't work? What if this is just another thing I start? What if, you know, what if this is the thing that like, oh my goodness, like I'm just, I'm so afraid. Like I'm afraid that like this, like it's not going to work for me because, you know, like I've given up on myself so many times that I no longer trust myself. So what happens? What happened? Why? What happened that you don't trust yourself anymore? Right? Just think about that because I do not want you guys to walk away from here and take no action. I don't want you to walk away from here going, that was fun, that was cool, wow, great information, and then it just sitting in your notebook, right? Because that's not going to help your brand at all. Or you can take this stuff, you can take action, you can implement it, you can get someone to help you develop your brand strategy in the right way with ready-made plug-and-play research who's already done the research, the keywords, tons of world-class examples, you know, do your competitor audit, your framework. You can have live Q&As to help you along the way. You can have training, you can do all that. You know, like please, please, please remember that it's all about action and implementation. Action and implementation because you can watch all the freebies out there. You watch all my freebies. Shoot, come hang out with me. Watch it all. Be in my tribe. Watch my lives. Read all my content. You know, like. Hang out on Instagram, hang out in Clubhouse. We're going to start doing some trainings in there. Like, do it all. Like, hang out, watch it all. But if you don't take action and don't implement, you won't get the results. You won't get the results. All right, guys. So let me know in the comments. Let me see if I can pull up your comments again. Was letting me see one from Miss Leslie. And again, if you guys have a bunch of comments I'm not seeing, I will definitely come back in here and I will do a Q&A to answer your questions. Because sometimes, you know, I don't know why it doesn't show me comments, but sometimes it doesn't. So let's just talk about the next step. Alright, so if you guys have any comments. Or questions, let me know. Let me know. I have such a boring background. I just don't even understand why I have such a boring background. Okay, let me look and see if we have any. I told you guys I would sing to you. Happy Friday, by the way. Hope you guys are having an awesome week and all those things. I was off the grid for like. a while. And so, um, yeah, we started our summer off awesome. Okay, so I'm not seeing any comments. I apologize. I will come back in and do a Q&A in a couple days if I'm seeing questions, or if on replay, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to pop them in here. Please, please, please ask all the questions you have because I'm here to serve you, and this is your time to dive in and to get the most out, right? Yesterday I did a live. I don't know if you guys saw it, but I talked about kind of a vulnerable moment I went through yesterday. And I talked about, you know, living, playing full out, playing full out in your business, playing full out in your life, right? Because you guys, like, I spent way too long in my life compromising, being in corporate, like compromising who I am, compromising, hiding a little piece of me, right? And I know some of you guys have heard this story, but like in 5th grade, what happened to me was I won this play, right? Like I won the lead role in this play. And at the time, like I had worked so hard, you guys. I'm such an overachiever. It has always been there. And I worked so hard on getting the lead of this play. I would come home at night and my— bless my mother's heart, she's a single parent. was working a lot, and she'd come home and I'd just be like, Mom, please help me do my lines. Like, I need to know my lines. I need to know. I need to know. I need to know. And I would like, you know, hand her this piece of paper and she would like read me the things, and I would, I would act back, and I would, you know, do the things. And, and I would, I would do that night after night after night after night after night after night after night after night. And the big day comes, the audition. I was so excited because I was going to get the role of Beauty, right? It was like, it was a parody of Beauty and the Beast, and we had written it, like the class had written it, we had like put it together. It was like, I was so excited, you guys. Like, I even wore like, you know, remember Belle? Like Belle, that was the big movie at the time. I was in like 5th grade, and oh my gosh, I was just, I was so excited, and I wore the blue dress, and I was like, ah! I get up. I put my all. You guys, when I say play full out, like little Val, little 11-year-old Val, she played full freaking out. Maybe I was 10. Little 10-year-old Val played full out. I went all in. I had every single line nailed. I even like did this dramatic thing where I walked off the stage and I was like, yeah, my classmates, they got up and like people were cheering and they were like, yeah, Val, that's So awesome! Go Val! Woo woo woo! And I felt so incredibly proud. I was so proud of myself. So proud. And you know that like nervous feeling you get when like, I don't know if you guys are like you're nominated for an award or you're nominated for something and you're finding out if you won and it's like you're you're kind of in your mind like looking happy on the outside like oh my gosh I hope I win I hope I win I hope I win I really don't want her and her to win I want me to win but like if they win I have to act happy you know like I was I was going through that whole thing like I felt. Like, oh my gosh, I— please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please let it be me. Like, I was literally— I think I was negotiating with God. I was like, I'll do all my chores. Oh, I won't eat candy. Like, I won't— like, I don't think I wouldn't eat candy because I was kind of a chubby kid. But, um, you know, I was like negotiating. I was like, come on, come on, I will do all my chores. I'll, I'll be nice to my sister. Like, I'll do everything if I just get this part. I just get this part. And I got up and, you know, the teacher gets up and he's like, okay, class, I'm really disappointed in you. I'm looking around like, what? Why is he disappointed? Why is he disappointed in us? And he proceeded in front of the entire class. I'm in 5th grade, right? So, you know, it's a big deal. In front of the entire class, he said, I'm disappointed in you because you made this more about a popularity contest than you did about who earned it. Class, you chose To pick your friends. You chose popularity over talents, and I am so ashamed of you. Valerie Henry, you got the part. I was crushed. I was so embarrassed. I literally wanted to get up and run out of that class. And what I allowed that to mean in my life was that it wasn't safe to be popular. It wasn't safe to be liked. It wasn't safe to be seen. That when I put my all into something, I'm just—it's—it's not going to work. So why try? That you know, a matter of fact, I'm not even going to try. I'm not even going to go after those things because what if the same thing happens? What if somebody tells me I only got it because because I'm popular, because you know the boss thought I was cute, which has happened to me. I let it mean that like I could not get on a stage because it hurt and it crushed, and I couldn't be seen. I couldn't voice. Like, no. And you guys, I am dead serious when I say that I didn't get back up on a stage for 20 years. I allowed that moment That moment of perceived failure to keep me from the gift that I know today is one of my biggest callings. After I started my business this, this time, this coaching business, in 3 months, I was back up on stage with a microphone in my hand talking in front of 200 people a weekend, if not more. The reason why I share this with you guys is because I know there's someone out there who's saying, you know, but yeah, I've tried, you know, I don't know, is this business gonna work out? Like, is it just gonna stay a dream? Is it just going to stay one of those things where like I put my all into it and like it doesn't work and like I don't know, like I've been disappointed, I've had people judge me, I've had that hurt, I've had that pain, I've, you know, I've been through the thing, I've like, you know, all of those things. Just know, don't allow those things. If it's a spouse that doesn't get it, if it's, you know, your 5th grade teacher who Embarrassed the shit out of you when you were 10 years old, if it's, you know, your own mind that's holding you back, do not allow it to keep you stuck, to keep you anchored. Because you know what? A diamond, the sizzle, the fire that you ignite is not meant to be hidden. Don't make the same mistake I did of hiding my gifts for 20 years because I was in fear. Implement this stuff. Take action on this stuff and just do it. Do it. Trust me when I tell you, you know, a lot of times people are like, oh, but you probably, you know, you did blah blah blah. Like, don't separate me. Like, I'm no different than you. I grew up with a single parent that like literally, um, I know I shared about it in a post a couple days ago, but like I didn't want to embarrass my mom in case she saw it. But like we, like we wore trash bags sometimes and we stole toilet paper from the library. We were so poor. We were so broke. I did not get handed, you know, the cards in life. Like, I wasn't, I didn't wake up one day and just like, oh, I have this. Like, that's not my story. But you know what? It doesn't matter what happened in your past. It doesn't matter what you've tried or if you failed or if you stumbled. What matters is what are you going to do now? What actions will you take now? Will you implement this? Will you walk away from here and do nothing? Or will you say, you know what, Val? Hell yes! This is a full-body hell yes for me right now in this moment. I am all freaking in. And I hope that you will choose all in, that you will choose all in. So let me know in the comments, not that I can see them. It's driving me crazy that I can't see the comments. You guys, um, are you seeing my screen or are you seeing— let's see. Okay, you guys are still seeing me. Perfect. Alright, so I would love to hear in the comments, do you guys have any questions? I'm going to leave a moment to see if there are any questions. And let me see if I can pull you up on my laptop so that I know I am getting any questions there might be. on brand, brand strategy, any of those things, I would love to hear it. And I just want to share with you guys one more thing before we are off for the day. Thank you so much for hanging out with me. I kind of gave you guys a fire hose, so feel free to go back and watch it again because I gave you a lot of implementation. Just remember, you know, like, get out there, be seen, be visible. It's safe to be seen. You can trust yourself. Right, you can trust yourself. And if you're ready, let's go, right? Like, if you're ready, let's go all in. Let's do this thing. Let's just freaking rock it out. If you want to create your bold brand, I just want to share this really fast before we go. All right. If you are ready to create your bold, beautiful, gorgeous brand, we have the new and improved Bold and Branded course. I know some of you guys have gone through it. I ran it. in, I want to say July or August. And that was really fun. I had about 7 women who did it and it was super fun. I didn't really advertise it very well. And then I ran it again after a webinar I was doing off a summit and I ran it in May. And let me tell you, Dena was one of those people. Remember the woman that had the $35,000 month and like has not gone down since then? She did that course and she got in this and she freaking rocked it out. She rocked it out. This is a 6-week course. So you'll have, you know, time with me. You'll be in the group, lots more like hands-on looking at your business. You will be able to build out your gorgeous brand. This is everything you need to build out your gorgeous, beautiful, profitable personal or business brand. I will go into the psychology of colors, the vibe, the energetics, the experience I talked about, you know, creating that bold, beautiful experience that brings your clients coming back for more and more and more, right? I'm going to teach you how to get people in your inbox. Like, literally, I've— I didn't share this— I've implemented these strategies into my business this last 12 months, right? When I created this program, I do, like I always do it. I implement it. I try things out. I try the strategy and then I sell it. So we started implementing this strategy in March right after the pandemic started, after we went into shutdown in the U.S. because I had all these conferences, speaking gigs, all of these things. I was supposed to be in Australia for like a month and New Zealand and all over. And I said, okay, well, now what are we going to do? And I said, hey, let's take a look at my brand. Like let's refocus on our why and like let's dive deep into this and like really look at branding. Because a lot of people had been asking me about brand. They're like, how do you build a brand? Like what do you do? And I'm like, I just did it. I don't know. Like I guess I could put it down and then like create a course. And so I did. And, you know, in 2020 when everything was crazy, In the recession, I almost did— I did almost 3.5 times more profits than I did in 2019, which means that my profit, you know, because there's a big difference between revenue. Revenue is like the amount of sales you make, right? Revenue, and then you minus cost, you have profit, right? I know that's kind of basic, but some people don't know the difference in that. And a lot of people on the internet like will say, oh yeah, I did $1 million. But it's like, but yeah, but then what were your costs? Right? So profit, my profit was 3 times more in 2020 than it was in 2019. And 2019 was like insanely more than I did in 2018 in my business. So just know that like, it was, it was huge, right? And so this is what I use. This is what I did. You'll learn how to develop a world class. I'm saying world-class, you guys, because that's proven. I've worked with world-class brands and it's a proven strategy. It'll elevate your impact and accelerate your growth. And yes, I'm going to talk about it. It'll increase your income. It'll get more cash money into your bank account. So if you want to join the Bold and Branded class, I would— of course, I would love for you guys to join. I am going to make a special offer here. This is actually now— how much is it? $1,111 retail. So $1,111 retail. I am going to, for the next 24 hours, because you guys know I love people who say yes and take action, right? You know I love it because money loves speed. That's one of the biggest things I've learned as an entrepreneur. is that money loves speed, right? Like to be a powerful CEO, to be an effective business person, you know, that analyzing, sitting back, thinking about it, talking yourself out of it, like that does not work, right? I was very much so that way. In my corporate world, I was like Type A, overthinking, overanalyzing, in my head a lot. And let me tell you, like getting out of that, like taking action when I know it's like a hell yes in my body, when my body's telling me like go, go, go, do it, like do it, right? Which reminds me, I need to book my tickets for Las Vegas in December. My sister's gonna get me on that because I said it was a hell yes. And so I need to do it. So, you know, when I know it's a hell yes, like I go take action because otherwise I start talking myself out even to this day. So I've learned to like really just go all in. So if you want to be a part of this program, I would love to invite you in. It is like one of my favorite programs ever. I have not ran a program lately at all. Like I've done some masterminds, but I haven't run any programs. So I am definitely hungry for that. And it reminds me because you guys, like this might sound really crazy, but July and December are my biggest months every year since I started my business. July and December are like the 2 months that most people in Online business or in business take off, right? Because they're like, "It's July. Everyone's on holiday. Nobody's gonna buy. It's summer." Da da da da da. But like literally, I've had the best months in July and December every single year. Like mind blowing, right? My first, the first month when I I had when I quit my corporate job, I had to give a month notice because I was I was the sales and marketing director. So I remember like. sliding that notice across her desk in June, overthinking, thinking I should pull it back, you know, for like a month. But then like literally my first month in business, I hit my first $11,000 month in just my business. I also had my commissions and stuff from my job, but I hit that in my business. That was all mine, right? Like, oh my gosh, mind-blowing, amazing. So just know, you know, if you're like, but you know, it's June, it's July, like So what? Then it's going to be September, then people are going back to school, then it'll be December, and then people are on holiday, and then it's January, and oh my gosh, nope, can't do it now. You know, like, if you're— if you know you want it, just go for it. So this is usually an $11,111 program. I'm going to offer today— I don't even think we talked— I talked about this with my team yet. Um, I always forget to talk, to share with them my ideas. But I'm going to offer it. Let's make it spicy and fun. I'm going to offer it for the next 24 hours. So it is 5:23. Oh my gosh, you guys, I kept you on here for an hour and 23 minutes. Holy cow. It's 5:23 PM on Friday, my time, Pacific time. So if you want to jump in, I would love for you to jump in. Let's say $555. And let's do a bonus call as well. I want to make it super juicy and fun. If you know you want to do this, just go all in. Let's do a bonus call as well. I'll throw that in. Let's do like a mastermind bonus call. Super fun. Where you guys can like actually talk about— if you guys don't do masterminds, like, oh my gosh, come get into mine, right? I have a couple. I have high-end ones. And then, um, wait, let me finish my thought first. I hate it when I get so excited that I like derail, digress. But yeah, so I'll do a bonus mastermind call with just the people who sign up. like in the next 24 hours. So $555, message me if you want the link, I'll send it over. We can also do payment plans, like don't even worry if that's a problem, like I can do like weekly payment plans, monthly, whatever you want to do. And, um, but yeah, masterminds are where it's at, you guys, like I've literally grown my business, blown my business. Oh, I already have someone messaging me. Yeah, I think someone wants the link. Perfect. I'm celebrating so big. Yay, Alana! Mm-hmm. All right, guys, so I love you so much. Please do drop your comments. Like, I am so sad that I'm not seeing comments, but drop them in here. I will come back. You guys are in the Wild Tribe now, so I will come back and I will definitely, you know, do a Q&A call. I'm getting another message. Okay, so I'm getting notifications already that people are signing up. So thank you guys. Congratulations. Welcome to the Bold and Branded. This is such a fun course, you guys. It's so fun. It's like one of my favorites. And you are literally going to walk away going like, I understand so much more about making money online. Like, it's so much easier than, than we make it. But yeah, it's gonna be super fun. So I will come back and do a Q&A. Even if you guys are messaging me like asking questions, I'll say, okay, great. These are the questions I've had about it. I am opening cart now for you guys only. I will open cart for everybody, like send it out to my email list and all that. And this is, you guys, there's limited spots. So just know that I keep my courses small for a reason. I've had courses with 80 people in them before. And I just felt like I, I didn't get enough connection with everybody to like really feel their energy and feel their vibe. I did that one time and that's it. Like, I will never do that. Well, I can't say never, but I won't do that again on like a live course. This is a live course. You'll be having like no prerecorded. You'll have it with me. I, because I love, I love you guys. Like, honestly, it's cheesy, but like I love to get to know like your heart and your mission, your, what makes your heartbeat. Right? Like, what makes the beat of your, your business happen? I want to know. Like, I'll, you know, I'll create— I think the last 2 courses I did mood boards. If you don't know what that is, like brand boards, they're so beautiful. And that is one of my favorite things to do. It's so fun. So if you want in, let me know. It'll be super fun. Otherwise, you guys are here now. I'm super excited. You're in the Wild Tribe. If you're new and you're here just for this course, like Stay if you love it. If you love the vibe, stay here because I do a lot of different trainings throughout the year. I jump in here all the time and give value. We celebrate each other. We have a ton of fun. And there are so many like really, really fun things happening that are coming up here in my company. We're, you know, we're in an expansion right now. We're in another— yeah, like I I thought after 2019, 2020, like, I was like, ah, can we expand anymore? But we will. We are. So just know that I'm here for you. I love you guys. I can't wait to, you know, connect with you. Congratulations to Alani. I will definitely send you the— I'll send you the link. So if you're watching still, I'll send you the link right after this. I love you. Have a beautiful, bold, branded day. Have a beautiful gorgeous, sizzling moment. Go back, answer the questions we talked about, look at your notes, implement, and take action, because that is when you see the beautiful results. I love you guys, and I'll see you soon. Bye!
