Hi guys, how's it going? I am Val Nichols and I am a women's mindset and life empowerment coach, and it is my personal mission in life to help you live the rest of your life as the best of your life. Because hey, you know, why not? You've got years and years to come and you might as well live them being successfully And dynamically just happy as can be, right? So I want to talk to you today about watching people's actions instead of just listening to their words. You know, I used to be the worst offender. I would listen to people's words and just totally and completely believe them. You know, I would have people in my life who just over and over Had the right thing to say at the right time, and I just kept falling in this trap where I would just believe what they were saying, and I might as well just beat my head against the wall because it didn't work. So what I learned to do, one of my greatest lessons in life, was learning how to not just listen to what people are saying, but to really just stop and watch their actions Because it is the people in my life who would tell me they were there for me, who would say that they loved me, who said that they had my best intentions in mind. But let's be honest, you know, when crap hit the fan, where were they?
They weren't there.
They weren't the people who were showing up. They weren't the people who were actually giving me the time and the space that I needed.
You know, it's been the people in my life who have shown up for me when times were tough, when it wasn't easy to love me because I was going through a rough time. Those are the people in my life who matter to me today.
You know, it's the people who are, who are actually there for you. It's the people who, when things are tough, They're still around.
It's the people who pick up the phone when you're having a bad day, and it's those people who are able to actually give value to you when sometimes you don't have anything to give. So I just want to give a shout out to those ladies out there who are real women who show up In times of trial and who show up to celebrate with you too. Because, you know, it is— there are people in life who are going to be intimidated and who aren't going to be around to celebrate with you, who aren't there to cheer you on. And ladies, I'm just here today to tell you that that is not your people. Those are not your people. That's not your tribe. So if you need to walk alone for a while, walk alone. It's gonna be better than having someone who's gonna stab you in the back. But find a new tribe, because I'm here to tell you that there are people out there who will cry with you when you need to cry, and there are people out there who are gonna cheer you on. So why not spend your valuable and precious time with the people who are valuable and are gonna be there for you? All right, guys. Well, I gotta go walk with my dog, but I encourage you to just stay in there and do it all.
