In this live interview hosted by Val Nichols, Vince and Christina Shirey discuss how they built a successful partnership both at home and in business. They share personal stories about moving from broken past relationships to a blended family, emphasizing humility, step‑parenting, and the importance of seeing each other as teammates rather than enemies. The conversation critiques fairy‑tale romance myths, highlights the role of faith and self‑love, and explains how accountability coaching transformed their personal growth, finances, and health. They describe practical strategies for communication, conflict resolution, and decision‑making (e.g., handling kids’ cell‑phone debates), and they promote their coaching offers— a free 60‑minute discovery call for women and a 75‑day at‑home fitness program. Throughout, they stress the power of investing in oneself, the mindset of “don’t waste a day,” and the concept of “wholer wholeness” in blended families. The interview ends with mutual appreciation, encouragement for viewers to take immediate action, and a nod to the Tampa Bay Super Bowl spirit.

I'm gonna make sure that I'm sharing this out to the right channels here. Let me just share this, share this, share this. So if you guys are pumped and ready to go, we're gonna continue on this amazing, beautiful, gorgeous interview series that we have going on right now, we are going to be live with Vince and Christina Shirey. These 2 are kind of a rarity. Let me just say that they're kind of a rarity because of the fact that, you know, it's very— sometimes it's rare that if you have, you know, a couple, you know, usually like one of them is kind of the entrepreneur, just like we talked about with Jeff, right? One of them's the entrepreneurial, the other one's maybe more of the like safe, like doesn't take risks as much, a little more logical. But here you have 2, 2 people who are both powerhouses. They're seeing their own businesses, they have their own things going on. And not only that, they are also combining forces and they have the Shirey life. which is incredible. It is both of these powerhouse couples.
Hi, guys!
So I would love to welcome Christina and Vince Shirey. Hello, hello!
Hi! How are you?
Oh my gosh, are you guys live? Are you in Florida?
We literally just landed. We pulled into our place. We pulled over our car so we could do this interview with you right now. The kids are running in some random yard. We're like, we can't miss this.
Oh my gosh, you guys, like, OK, so that's dedication.
Wow.
Thank you guys so much for showing up and for being here. And like, wow, thank you. I feel honored.
Absolutely. Well, thanks for inviting us to be a part of this. It's something we for sure didn't want to miss. We love you. We honor you. You're doing incredible things in this world. And you're somebody that we just love to be connected with. And too— and you see our little girl in the corner?
She's like, I don't know. Should I come up? How cute. And you guys, okay, so this crazy thing happened. So I'm looking on my Facebook Memories today and literally one year ago today, I was on your summit, Christina.
One year ago.
I was on your summit and that was like the first time we had known each other a little bit through a coaching program we were in together. But like, that was when Vince came in. He said hello and we had this like crazy conversation. I'm like, is it only really like literally— but that was a year ago today.
Yeah.
Isn't that weird? Like, I'm a true believer that everything happens for a reason.
Yes.
Right?
Yeah, that is really crazy. That's awesome.
I know.
It's like all these God shots that keep happening throughout this whole summit. I'm like, what is this? This is so crazy. And you know, the cool part about— I was sharing with the audience before you guys jumped on that, you know, you guys are kind of a rarity in the fact that— I hope that you're like, that doesn't sound weird. You guys are really rare. Ooh, go Tampa Bay.
Yeah, we like it. Thank you.
So, you know, it's crazy that you guys are the type because a lot of times, just like the last interview we had, it was a really good friend of mine. Well, he's friends with my husband. And he has the same experience as me where like one of us is the entrepreneurial kind of like visionary out there. The other one's more like the logical, like, you know, safety, keep the job. But like you guys have like conquered that. And you're not only like a powerful couple, right? Which, you know, we all, we all know it doesn't just happen. It's very intentional. But you guys are like this powerhouse in your own sense and you're a powerhouse together. That's a rarity.
Appreciate that. Receive all that. Thank you.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Fun ride for sure.
And I think in one of my descriptions, I kind of compared you guys to like J.Lo and A-Rod, but like more real.
Well, that's awesome.
Real life. Yeah.
Yeah, like the real life version because you know how like they're like this power couple and they both have really cool things going on separately and together. And so, you know, because I know this, I would love for you guys to share with the audience, like, did you guys just get married and all of a sudden you were this powerful couple? Or like, what did you go through to get here?
Like, I was just talking to one of the girls that I coach. And, you know, relationships are funny because we grow up in this world where, you know, we're actually, Believe it or not, we are in like Orlando, Florida, where Disneyland is, where they teach you about princesses and Prince Charming. And we grow up believing that there is such thing as a knight in shining armor who's gonna ride in on his horse and come rescue you and be everything to you. He is going to take care of you. He's gonna love you forever and do— read your mind. And we are lied to. We are lied to. by movies, by Disney, by all these things that, that make you believe that this stuff just happens.
Right.
And it takes effort. It takes effort. So, uh, yeah, so no, it didn't just happen. No, we didn't just like— we did actually fall in love and got married within a few months, and he actually did like save me from Myself, but it took a long time for us because we both came from broken relationships, broken pasts, to find out like how to work together in harmony, how to move forward from this stuff that has happened to us in the past, and how to really love and appreciate each other and work well together and blend our family together. So we have done that successfully. Is it too loud and windy? I'm so sorry. Okay. I can hear a little bit of wind, but it's not distracting from— Okay, good, good, good.
I love that because, you know, it's funny, the interview right before you, I was talking about how so many of us are disillusioned, and I'm gonna blame social media. Sorry, statement. And I say this all the time with my husband, like these movies, like these sappy Christmas movies and Lifetime movies and Disney, for goodness sakes. They disillusion us into believing that some, you know, successful, confident, well-on-his-own guy is going to come swoop in and like we're going to be this damsel in distress and they're going to save us. And that is not real at all. You know, I honestly like, I don't want my husband to be my everything. I have girlfriends for that.
Right?
Like, I don't want him to be my everything because honestly, at the end of the day, that's like really what Disney's selling us is like this codependent, unhealthy reliance, right?
And you know what's crazy is that that's how I started out, really, uh, needing him, really needing him to be my everything, really needing him to take care of all of my needs. And the problem was I didn't love myself. I didn't love myself. And so I was pulling all his energy from him, like, prove to me you love me, prove to me you need me, prove to me, you know, that I'm worthy. And I think a lot of us can struggle with that when we don't know who we are, when we don't know whose we are. And I'm talking about God, right? The creator of everything. He made you for a purpose.
Yeah.
On purpose for this time right now, and it's not to be somebody who's searching for love all over the place. You get to be grounded in the love of the Father, that he has good things for you. And it starts with you. You get to step up and find the beauty in who you are so that you're not stressing everybody freaking out around you because you need something from them. I love that. You found it inside of you. So I started out there in a desperate place, desperate for love, desperate for attention, desperate for somebody to take care of me. And I realized, I'm like, holy crap, he cannot be my God.
Yes.
He cannot be my God. So that transformed our entire relationship right there and just Split second when I had that realization.
So—
And so I would love to just dig a little bit deeper if we can. I know you guys are very open, so I'm not going to be like hold back on this. But, you know, for that moment when— because I believe that, you know, men— and let me know if I'm wrong— but I believe men like to be appreciated and needed in a way. Maybe like they want to know that you need them. Like, I feel like with my relationship, my husband, like likes that I, I need him, but I'm not needy, right? Like, I, I love his support. I appreciate his support. I go to him with stuff that, you know, I bounce business ideas off him because he's so logical. But like, how did it feel, Vince? Like, how did it feel for you as a man, like, being in that where you saw that maybe she had expectations or had that neediness? Like, what did that feel like for you? How did it— what was your experience in the relationship during that time?
Yeah, it was tough at first, to be honest. I mean, I would go visit a friend, and if I said, hey, I'll be home at 2 o'clock, and it was 2:30, she's like, where are you? What are you doing? Like, I'm like, I'm at my friend's house still though. I don't need to like tell you that I'm— like, she always wanted me to like— I had to say like every detail, like, when are you coming home? What are you doing? And that was annoying, just to be honest. Like, it was like, I'm not doing anything I shouldn't be doing. I'm just at my friend's house a little bit longer than I needed to be. I promise you I'll be home later. You know what I mean? So we've worked through a lot of that stuff. So it was just, um, overwhelming isn't the word. I guess it's just more annoying would be the word to, um, I don't know.
Yeah, but I remember too there were times where like I would say like, can you help me with the kids? Can you help me with the dishes? Like, he's like, how can I, how can I love you? And he was in this place of like—
There was a time when I was doing whatever I could to try to make her happy, literally, literally Whatever she asked for, I was trying that for a week or a day or whatever, a month, and nothing was working. And that was very frustrating. And it got— it became clear that what you already said, like, I could not be your God. Like, no matter what I did, I wasn't going to fill you up. If I washed the dishes or took care of the kids or ran the vacuum or gave you space or whatever you needed, nothing worked until you figured out that He was your source and I was your companion and best friend and helper and we're teammates. That's what it was all about at that point.
Oh my gosh, I love that. That's so cool because, you know, in that— and I know that, you know, I mean, been there, done that. Our stories are kind of similar. You know, I got married super young, got divorced, and then, you know, also my husband as well. He was in that place where— and then we found each other and we got to like build that and like, you know, come together and be that teammate, which is so interesting because— funny story, I just want to share this with you guys because you're wearing your Tampa Bay hat. My husband proposed to me on 4 years ago on Super Bowl after the Patriots won. And I'm not kidding you guys, he's probably gonna be so embarrassed for me sharing this, but like, he got on his knee and he said, you know, just like Brady and Belichick were a dynasty, you and I are meant to be together. And even though we all know now Tom Brady's the GOAT and it wasn't Belichick, maybe there were some combinations, but—
Right.
You know, like, it is, it's that, it's that being a team, right? And I think that's something I'm hearing from what you're sharing is that When 2 people, and whether you come to that, because there's always a balance and you're having 2 people with different experiences come together in a relationship, that's hard.
Yeah.
Regardless of what your relationship is, if it's marriage, if it's a friendship, if it's a partnership, if it's a business partner, like whatever. You know, like having the willingness to, and maybe you guys had struggles for a while, but, you know, to grow together and become 2 whole people coming in the relationship. Where I think like you were saying earlier, even when you're standing in the middle of Florida, like the disillusionment is that there's going to be a whole person and then someone else is going to come in and like somehow you become like 2 broken people become whole.
Yeah, yeah. And you know what, like this is funny because I believed a lie for a long time. The scripture in the Bible that talks about the 2 shall become one. And I believed in my brain that I was only half a person. person, like that I was not whole until I found the other half of me, the other part that completes me. You complete me, right?
It is everywhere. Yeah.
And it is just so not true. I have to be whole. I have to be whole. He has to be whole before we can come together and create like an even wholer wholeness. I don't even know where that came from. But like, it's not the Bible. I think we take it out of context and make it mean something that that does not mean. It means like, you know, when you're like doing the thing to become one, it doesn't mean that like you're not a whole person. So yeah, it's— sorry. I love that.
I want a t-shirt that says like, wholer wholeness, hashtag Shairi Life.
That would be awesome. Yeah, we should do that.
Polar wholeness. I like it.
Polar wholeness. And you'd have to like go through your programs to realize, to know what that means. But it'd be like a thing, you know? I love that because, you know, it's so interesting to me that, you know, you guys both had your combined— I love that you guys have the combined family, right? And so share with me, just because I know there's someone out there watching this. I'm just feeling this prompting that we need to go here. That, you know, with that combinedness, like, how did you guys, like, blend that together? Was there a process? I'm sure there was some learning curves. Like, you know, I know there can be that feeling of, you know, not trying to replace a role in a kid's life, but being what I call— with my nephew, I say, like, co-parenting. Like, you know, his stepmom is his co-mom. She's co-parenting.
Mm-hmm.
She's creating that relationship together. Like, what was that process like for you guys?
You know, the truth is that it takes incredible humility to be a stepparent. And if you come into a relationship and you're supposed to blend this family that already was a family unit, it is broken, and now you're trying to be whole again. It's, it's not— that's not how it works. Like, you have to involve the ex-spouses in your life.
Yeah.
You have to honor them in front of their children. Like, there was never a time where I spoke ill of his boys' mother, ever. Maybe like we had conversations on our own, but in front of them, it never happened. I always told them like, I love you. I, I will always be here for you. I'm not your mom. I know that. And I get to be your cheerleader. I get to encourage you and I get to play whatever role you let me play in your life, right? Instead of coming in, taking charge and say, listen, here I am, I'm the new mom around here. You know, you don't get to do that. You don't get to just take charge.
Right.
And act like you're ruling the show because there are other people's lives that are just as important as your ego. You know, so I don't know, what about for you?
It's the same thing. I mean, I think not speaking ill of the other parent in front of the kids is like, I don't know, stepparenting 101. You just can't do that kind of stuff. And just letting things go with the flow. I think in the beginning we had issues with blending everyone. I mean, it wasn't easy. It took us probably 2 to 3 years to really even Still a couple years after that to really get it flowing good. But that just took work and learning personalities and better parenting skills and dealing with the other spouse and— or the ex-spouse, I should say— and just making it work. And just kind of bending. Sometimes you have to bend because there's times when you want to be stubborn. Like, for— I'll give you an example. We didn't want our kids to have cell phones. We just were not for the cell phone. We don't think kids should have cell phones until they're adults.
Mm-hmm.
They want to pay for it on their own, then go ahead, but I'm not paying for it. Well, both of the ex-spouses were adamant for whatever reason that the kids had a cell phone. I'm like, fine, then you're going to pay for it. I'm not getting them cell phones. You can do it. We don't think they should have them. We don't think it's necessary, but we just decided to just agree to disagree and then let the kid have the phone even though they're with us full time. But the other parent was just— they had to have it. So we made it work. I mean, that was one where we could have dug our heels in the sand and said, no, they're not having a phone, but At the end of the day, I mean, it is what it is. We did it. We took steps to kind of monitor the phones and that whole thing anyway. But that's just one example of trying to make it work even when you just disagree on something.
That's amazing. That's so wise what you guys both said. I love that, like, not like making them wrong, maybe stating your opinion, stating your stance, but then, you know, coming to a compromise, choosing your battles. And I also have a feeling that maybe that plays into your guys's relationship today? Do you use some of that same wisdom, that same strategy? I don't say strategy, but kind of, you know, the same method.
Oh yeah.
This man taught me— he has taught me so much over our 10 years of marriage. But one of the things that he taught me is I used to have these little hissy fits, and I'm making myself sound like the most terrible wife at the beginning. And truly, I was a mess. But I used to have these hissy fits and like get mad and go in the closet and like shut the door and I'm not talking to you. And it would go on and on and on. And one of the things that he taught me that is like the biggest lesson in my life is like, why do you want to waste a day? Why do you want to waste a day? And so I always have that.
Super simple, right?
Why waste An hour, right? Yeah, I mean, we'll work through it. Whatever, um, we'll communicate whatever we're feeling now. Rarely does it get out of hand. I'm, as you can tell, I'm expressive, I'm emotional. And so he has learned to understand. I'm like, my emotions are not a reflection of like how I'm feeling towards you. I'm just like This all the time. And he's learned to like understand that and not get his feelings hurt by my expression. And he allows me to be that way. But I don't take my emotions and my expression to the place where they used to go, where I was slamming doors and throwing things and broke my phone in a wall. Like, I was out of control. But he, he totally taught me That why, why, why do we need to waste a day? And that's, you know, it's with any conflict, any relationship, any situation. I don't care where you are, if it's with your spouse, if it's with your business partner, if it's with your boss, if it's with a leader of your church, if it's with wherever you are, why waste a day? Get your emotions out, feel what you're going to feel, express them in an honoring way. And then move forward because being mad just hurts you. Like, really, you're the only one who's upset. You're the only one affected for 24 hours or longer if you hold on to it. You know, some people like to give the silent treatment for a week and it's just unnecessary.
Good stuff.
Oh my gosh, so many things I just want to like cut a hole in that, that you just shared. And you know, one of the biggest things that I heard in that is because, you know, I think I would love, you know, women, men, whoever's watching this, if you're watching this live or on replay, like really hear what they just said, hear the knowledge of what they just talked about in the fact that, you know, for me too, and I believe this is true for most couples, like we kind of find our opposite, like we find the person that I want to say like almost like they, they have something that like we wish we had, you know, like so the more like my husband's the logical engineer and I'm the like one who wakes up like this, right? Just like Christina. I feel like we're a lot alike, the couples are. And, you know, so we're going to express ourselves differently. We're going to go through our emotions differently. We're not fighting against each other in that. And men and women speak such different languages anyway. I know that's like a no-brainer, but like what I hear in that is like really just like understanding each other and finding that, you know, I know for me, like my husband getting excited is like, I'm so excited, you know. But for me, I'm like, whoa, like a tornado running around. Right? And I also know that when, you know, and I think for women hearing this, like if the guy is, I call it like my husband's going in the cave kind of. When he's having a bad day, he's not like me. Like I want to talk about it and work it out and verbally process it. He just kind of goes in this cave.
Yeah.
And I allow that. Like I'm like, do you want me to go out with my girlfriends and you can have some time alone with your beer and your shows or whatever? And like realizing that that's not something that's Personal, whereas you know if like if Christina's going around like like it's not a personal thing, right? And just like I I really want people to like hear that because I think that alone what they shared is going could like save a marriage right here right now.
For sure, this lady's wise. I tell her I tell all the time I'm like you need to really really teach after this. you know, after 10 years of experience, how to be a good wife, a good mom, how to be successful, how to just encourage your husband in a way that, you know, obviously husbands are different, but she just knows how to encourage me to get me going, to motivate me to— I'm not afraid to try or do anything because she helps me believe in myself. And men definitely need that. You talked about your husband wanting to feel needed. Well, what I like more is her encouraging me that I can do anything. Um, with that support, I really feel like I can do anything. I mean, we've, We've started successful businesses now because she encourages me and believes that I can do it. And with that encouragement, I feel like I can do anything. I can conquer anything when she thinks I can. So that encouragement goes so far coming from her. I mean, I said it today, like, there's things I'm doing now that are amazing, but if she wasn't there supporting me through it, I wouldn't even really want to do it. It wouldn't even be worth it to me without her support and help and the whole thing. So it's definitely a team aspect in our household and We like it that way. We don't waste days. We're in Florida now. We didn't pre-plan this, but this is kind of like almost a celebration for where we've come so far in 2021. You know, economies are stalling and going down, and we're— we've thrived better than— and when I say that, we've like 10x or 20x. I don't know, I have to do the numbers, but our income and everything this year has been the best it has ever been. And it's In some of the worst times people have had. So I don't know what's happening. God's up to some big things in our life and a lot of the people's life around us, including you. I mean, these groups aren't coming together on accident. I think big things are happening for like-minded people like us, and we truly think the best is yet to come, and we know the best is yet to come. But that starts at home, being solid here. Us. If this isn't solid, the other stuff doesn't matter. And I don't think we'd be doing what we're doing without this being so close.
Yeah.
But it's taken us 10 years to get here. So if you are young or having issues, it's not the end of the world and you can achieve things like this. And it's going to start up here. And I'll ask, what are you thinking about? And it's something we've talked about. And I even asked the kids and she told me like when I was a kid, like someone must have always asked me that, like, what were you thinking? You know what I mean? Like, I think my mom or my dad said, what were you thinking? I'm like, I don't know. What was I thinking? Let me think about that. And now I always ask myself, okay, what am I thinking here? Because our thoughts ultimately become words, which become actions and become our destiny in our life. It's just those daily thoughts, your self-talk, so vitally important to success. It's amazing. So I don't know if that helps.
Yeah, that's— it's so crazy, the synchronicities. Like, God is up to something right now because, like, what you just said is almost exactly what— I mean, Jeff before us, he has a— he just did $1.5 million in his greenhouse company this year. And he said, Literally, he said, like, if I didn't have the right person in my life, my wife, which, you know, she's like, if I didn't have her encouragement and understanding, I would not have the business I have today. I wouldn't have believed in myself. I wouldn't have had that. And ultimately, it's that, like, because they kind of take turns, you know, she was in college and then, and then he was working and then she was working. And, you know, like, there was this, this team aspect. And I love that because so many times today, I don't know if it's like the just the culture we're in, but a lot of times Even in our marriages, we can start looking at the other person as the enemy. And just like you said, what you think about, you bring about. So you're always looking for evidence that they're doing something wrong.
Yeah, I think to this culture, there is just a power struggle with women. Like, women empowerment, I'm all for it. Like, ladies, go do you, go be you. But when it comes to your home, like, he is not the enemy. Your husband is not the enemy. You did not say till death do us part for just no reason. That like, you get to empower each other, you get to support each other. It's not like he has to empower me. It's not like that pulling again of like, I need you.
Right.
I need you to, I need you to support me, to empower me. Like ladies, we get to, we get to create the atmosphere in our home. We have a special calling and a purpose in our home. And if you notice, if the wife ain't happy, they say it for a reason. If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. And that's the truth. You get to create. It's not his job to make you happy. It's your own job to make your own self happy. And you get to create that in your home. You get to empower every person. You have such a great job to do in your home. And no, it's not to just cook and slave and, you know, do the dishes and mop the floor. And be barefoot, naked, and pregnant, you know. No, that's not just your role, but it is to support your family. And you get to be the light in that house. You get to empower every person, and your attitude makes a huge difference in your home with him and with your kids and with your stepkids and anywhere you go. Like, you have the power to transform an atmosphere. You Ladies, you— so there's no power struggle. You have the power. What are you going to do with it? Are you going to be forceful and needy and striving and taking?
Or are you going to be the powerful woman that you are?
Realize how powerful you are and empower every person in your home to be the people that God made them to be. That's your job. Good.
It's very good. That's why everyone's so successful, because this lady's empowering all of us to be successful. So my 2 oldest boys already moved out and have their own place. They're 19 and 18. That's not normal in this day and age. I even said, please stay home. We just want to go out and be on our own, have our own place and be successful. And, you know, my oldest is working at UPS supervising, and my youngest is going— or my second is going to nursing school. So They're already gone. Like, that's unusual for 2021. They're not living at home in dad's basement.
Oh my gosh. Wow. Yeah, that's, that's huge. And, you know, it speaks to the power of what they grew up in and what they saw modeled to them. And, you know, in this moment, I just have to speak life into the fact that, you know, looking at one year ago, that glimpse of that first time you and I sat down on, on the Zoom call to do the summit, You know, like just the growth of— I didn't know Vince as well, even though, you know, like we've gotten to know each other better throughout the last couple months. And, you know, I see, I definitely see strobe lights of your guys' lives, you know, through— I see glimpses and I see that happen. But oh my gosh, the difference between 1 year ago and right now is literally blowing my mind. Just the power—
Wow.
That I've seen you guys, the confidence that's grown. And there's something in there where I feel like, for those of you who don't, haven't known them before, go find them, check them out. Because, you know, I see, I feel this power of like, really settling into knowing who you are and what your true purpose is. Oh my gosh, I just want to speak over that and say that that is, it's really cool to see.
Yeah, thank you for that. Yeah, you're totally right, man. A year ago, I was still figuring out like, I don't know, I'm scared to talk, I'm scared of my voice. You know, I did a show on Discover Your Worth, Finding God, Yourself, and Living in Confidence as an insecure woman.
Right.
You know, from a year ago, that show and all the steps that I've taken and all the coaching that I've, I've done and gone through and have had the privilege of being a coach to other people, like, just go for the thing. Go for the thing, do it scared. And this is the outcome of doing it scared, is you become powerful, you become bold, you become fearless because you don't ever stop feeling afraid. You just get to walk through the fear and do it. And then on the other end of it is the confidence. On the other end of it is the excitement. On the other side of it is the boldness.
Yep.
So I don't know who needs to hear that. There's somebody out there who was like me a year ago. Who is taking the steps fearful, keep going, keep going. You've got it. You're doing the right thing. Start that business, get married, make yourself vulnerable to your husband because there's only good things that come from you being who you actually were made to be. And you get to show up.
Please don't let money be the issue. And I'm talking to guys like me who sit there and they're like, ah, Well, it's $500 or it's $1,000 or it's $15,000 or it's $20,000. Over the course of this year, it's going to be $20,000 or whatever it was. We spent over $20,000 on ourselves through 2019, and that was the first layer. We've, we've spent more money after that on different kinds of trainings to, to grow in our skills, to grow in our relationship, to grow in our business. So don't let money hold you back, please. We couldn't afford to do it, but we couldn't afford not to do it. And if I knew then what I know now, I would have paid double. But obviously you couldn't have told me that back then because I would have said you're crazy. But I'm so glad that I did it. And she nudged me because we're sitting in a conference and she's like, give us a year of your life and you won't recognize yourself. I'm like, oh, a year sounds like so long and so expensive, all these cities and tickets. And I'm like, I don't know if we can do it. And by Sunday I was back there signing up for the year and we did it. And I would never change any of that. So please, if money is the issue, don't let it be the issue. And I don't promote debt, but if you have to use a credit card, that's good debt because you're educating yourself on what you need to get better in. If you think you've arrived, you haven't. We haven't arrived. We're going to continue to do coaching and the whole thing because you're never going to arrive. It's all about the journey and keep investing in yourself. You won't lose in that investment. I don't think so, especially if it's good coaching.
Yeah, for sure.
Oh my gosh, I did owe that because, you know, like I remember my first program that I finally signed up in for February of 2018. This was after that, like getting certified to be a coach. But my first like group coaching program was $2,222 and I was so afraid, like, oh my gosh. And now it's like, you know, for me, same, you know, I spent $30,000 in the last 12 months on my— and I mean, like now it's like You'll—
that's so worth it. It's just what it is.
So worth it.
And I think there's— you're afraid because you don't trust yourself.
Yep.
That's the bottom line, is that we were unsure because we didn't trust ourselves to follow through, to do the work, to get the result, because we've done other things. We've been through church, and like, church is supposed to be, you know, really good, and we read the Bible and we We do these things, but there's so much more biblical principles in coaching that you get to discover and you get to find when you invest in yourself. And I know, Val, you, you know, you might not say like, I'm a biblical-based entrepreneur coach, but I guarantee you everything's in there. Everything's in the Bible that she teaches. Everything is in there. And we need to see with new eyes and take the scales off. And that's starts with investing in yourself and trusting that God's got you and that he's going to reveal something to you. Even if it's, you know, it's usually unexpected. In my, in my cases, I'm like, I did not know I was gonna learn this through this. So yeah.
I love that. I do that all the time with my clients. Like, okay, so remember in the Bible when this happened? And they're like, oh my gosh, okay. I'm like, I'm not just making this stuff up.
Yeah.
Jesus was the very first life coach and he was an entrepreneur, right? Like Jesus was an entrepreneur. He took the risk. He did the things. He did the scary things. He called people out. And so yes, I agree 100%. And so I'll let you guys get onto your vacation. I'm so excited for you. I'm glad to hear this was a spontaneous trip because I'm like, I don't remember a Florida trip. That's so awesome you guys are doing that.
So In the last couple of weeks, it was— yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off.
Let's just go. Um, I would love for people who are like hearing this and they want to connect with you, share with us. I know you guys both have your individual businesses, you're doing stuff together as well. Like, share about that and how people can find you.
Super simple, shirilife.com, and you can find both of our names on there. Click Christina, click Skinny with Vinny, and you'll go to each one of our individual websites from the main website, shirilife.com. Or go to Facebook, Shiree Life, YouTube, Shiree Life, Instagram. Guess what it is? Shiree Life. It's super simple. It's all the same. We're on any of those platforms. And yeah, you're available to teach women how to be successful. And you've done that. The last couple of clients you've had have done very well in business, especially. They've gone from zero to really high. But it's success no matter whether it's business or being a good wife or a mom or whatever that is for that person. You're going to teach them how to be successful.
Yeah.
So I love the fact that you're doing that. I say that you should all the time, and I sincerely mean that. And for me, it's fitness. I love teaching guys how to be fit and in shape. And I can give you a program, anyone can. You can follow any diet, but it really comes back to this mindset thing. That's why coaching, individual coaching, is so vital. And my most successful clients, I always say it, have me in their ear frequently. And I don't work with anybody, and I say that because we're gonna be— we're gonna become pretty good friends over the course of 12 weeks, and I don't Like, I want to be friends with someone who we have similar interests and we're going in the same way and we want to invest in ourselves and we have high expectations and the whole thing. And that's not everybody. I'm not saying that's wrong, but it's definitely not everybody. But I would love to work with individuals who want to be just fit, take care of their family, and it's, it's all for health and longevity. And my grandpa was 82 and playing baseball at the family reunion and still in great shape doing handstands in his 80s. I want to be that guy. I want to be Jack LaLanne pushing or pulling boats in the river because I could still do it. So I want to live a long time. So I love that.
That's so amazing. And, you know, I agree with you. You know, you can do— you can give all the strategy you want because if people could just like know a plan and do it, like we would all be super fit, we would all eat healthy, we would all have successful businesses. But really, honestly, and you know, I'm not just saying this because I'm a coach, but really for me, the biggest difference has been when I have someone there with me calling me out in a loving way, or maybe directly depending on what I need, and really like that mindset piece, because you can have all the strategy in the world, but you will self-sabotage if you don't work.
We got out of debt. We're debt-free 100% because of a Coach, period. Like, if I didn't know, if my Coach wasn't looking at my bank statements every month for a year, I would have— I don't want to say would have failed because I hate speaking those words, but it would have been maybe a longer, a longer journey had I not had the Coach. Oh crap, I can't go to Tim Hortons today because the Coach is going to see me like, what are you doing at Tim Hortons? Make the coffee at home.
What the heck?
So it was that consistency and that expectation from the Coach was vital. So, and the guys, Clients have said like, I need video of you saying, uh-uh, did you take your supplements? Did you take your vitamins? Did you go to the gym? Did you eat good food? Did you have a piece of cake? Like, you just need the right questions being asked. I'm not saying those are all the questions, but those are some of the questions.
And accountability is priceless. You plus accountability equals limitless life, period. You, you, whoever you are, whoever's watching this right now, I am talking to you. You plus accountability equals unlimited success.
So good.
Amen. You know, as Coaches, we get to see your blind spots. I don't see my own blind spots. We all have them. I can't see unless somebody is saying, hey, this is what I am seeing. This is what I am experiencing. This is what I am feeling. You then get to become aware of the things that have been holding you back time and time and time and time and time again. So, if you are ready to get out of that cycle of the things that have been holding you back, things that are getting you stuck, the voices in your head that you are tired of hearing over and over again, you need accountability and you need a Coach, whether it is me, whether it is him, whether it is Val.
Somebody.
I don't care who it is. I'm not here for your money. I'm here for your success. I'm here to find you the life that you've always wanted, the life that you've dreamed of, the life that you know inside of you that you feel is possible. It's not there to torture you. It's there because you're meant to do what you're meant to do. So find yourself a coach. I don't care who it is. Go find somebody. I'm a good one. Val's a good one. Vince is a good one, but it doesn't have to be us. Go find yourself some accountability and somebody to call you higher because you were meant for great things.
Mic drop. All right, guys. Well, I absolutely love you. You know this. And I— you're like seriously some of my favorite people in the world, even though we've never met in real life. But that's okay.
Someday.
But I know you guys have an offer. Speaking of coaching, accountability, all of that, I know that you guys have an offer you wanna share with the audience.
So tell us about that. Yeah, you have the 60-minute consultation that you're doing for free.
Yeah, if you want a free 60-minute discovery call, which is insane because most of them are like 30 minutes, I'm giving you a whole hour of my time.
Wow.
So call me and, you know, there's really, there's no limit. All you have to do is fill out a questionnaire and see if you qualify to be coached by me. And then you get a free call and we'll see, you know, what life holds for you, what your desires and your dreams are, and how I can best support you moving forward. Like, your success is my biggest priority.
Likewise, if you go to shirilife.com and click in the right corner, there's this, uh, it says Get Fit at Home. Click that link. You're gonna get workouts emailed to you for 75 days for free. These are full video run-through workouts. Some of them have actual like audio voice because I have other coaches that jump into the program and help me.
Those are surprises.
Some Kind of letting the cat out of the bag, but it's full video run-throughs. They're at-home workouts. With COVID and everything else, people don't want to go to the gym, the whole thing. All you need is your body, some resistance bands, and if you have like a power pull-up type thing, you're golden. That's all you need. And it's 100% free, my gift to you. I don't, I don't have any expectations of it. Just do it, apply it, and see what the results are. And if you want a coach, I'd love to help you.
Awesome.
Great. Thank you so much. I told you guys they are so generous, right? And so, um, I'll put those links in the comments too so people can find it.
quicker.
I just want to make it convenient for them. And gosh, thank you so much for those generous offers. And you guys, I am just so grateful for you. Thank you for literally like hustling after you landed to be here live from Florida. Like freaking, if you wonder if these coaches are dedicated, this is the— They're dedicated. They're committed. And you guys, like I, you know, I've hand-selected everyone that's on this summit. And honestly, like, you guys are the same people on this call as you are in your living room interacting together. I have witnessed it firsthand. And, you know, that is the type of person that I know I want to hook onto and I want to surround myself with. So, you guys take advantage of those offers. Just find out. Just take the first step. Like they said, you know, if you just take that first step, that is your big stepping stone. That is, what is it that Martin Luther King Jr. says that it's it's the first step that's the hardest.
Yep.
Well, this is it.
You can take it today. Don't wait till tomorrow or Monday or the after the Super Bowl because you got a big party. Like literally, it's today.
Yeah.
Like start today. Like if you see this and you're watching this, you're meant to see it today. Not Monday. Today. I seriously mean that. Start now. Like get off the computer. Go to our website and click. Calendly, go to her thing or go to mine and start today.
So absolutely, 100%. And I want to do that. Do it now. Now, now is the only time we have, right? The time is now. We will talk ourselves out of it or get distracted and then you miss opportunities. It's happened to me so many times. So we get to choose different. Well, thank you guys so much.
Honored to be on here with you. I could tell you this, like 5 years ago, we would have just tried to reschedule because we were not as sharp as we are now. So, but you make it work. Like, this is what you do. We had a commitment. We're on— we wanted to do this. So this is just a lesson for free for your viewers. You make things work. You don't back out on commitments. So make it happen.
Oh my gosh. And we could go on and on.
Val, we freaking love you.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for letting us be a part of this. You are on fire. You are doing incredible things. You are a blessing to all life. We are so honored to know you and love you, and you are somebody that we trust with our life. And, uh, so we just so, so much appreciate you. You are just— you're, you're somebody to look up to for sure. And anybody who's watching this who wonders, is Val the real deal? She's the real deal. She is the real deal. She will jump over the moon for you. She does, and she did for us. And so Like, you guys, go follow her. Let her be in your life. Let her be a mentor to you because she's an incredible woman and she's an honorable woman and she's an honest woman and she's a powerful woman. So you guys are lucky to have her even speak into your life and be watching this show.
Oh my gosh, thank you. You're gonna make me cry. Thank you so much. Oh my gosh. Wow, you guys are amazing. Wow. I wasn't expecting that.
So thank you.
I'm just like, oh. Sometimes it's hard to receive that, but I receive it. You know, sometimes it's hard to like, oh, it's uncomfortable.
What do you say? Yeah, thank you. I receive it. Thank you.
Yes, enjoy the Super Bowl. Go Tampa Bay!
Go Tampa Bay! I'm watching it with my friend, one of my clients who is a huge Kansas City fan. So she's like, you know, at halftime I'm gonna be like, get out if you're winning. I'm like, well, then I guess I'll just plan to leave at halftime. Time. So yeah, thanks guys so much. Go check out their websites. Um, I will come back on later this afternoon. So thank you guys for watching, and we will see you soon.
All right, bye. I love you, girl.
