In this brief YouTube clip, Matan Hazanov declares that socialists are "terrible people" and should not be treated as such. Speaker B counters by describing socialists as "misguided" rather than terrible. Matan acknowledges the term "misguided" as a milder description, indicating a brief exchange of opposing viewpoints on the moral character of socialists.
Socialists are basically terrible people and, um, they should not be like that.
I wouldn't say that they're terrible people, but I would say that they're misguided.
Misguided, okay, that's nice.
I mean, it's very easy to have a pipe dream where you think that you can solve all the world's problems just by taking from one person and handing it to the other person. Socialists are doing great until they run out of other people's money. And regretfully, the ideological challenge for socialists is that nobody wants to hand over their money voluntarily, and so you have to force it. Nobody wants division of property unless it's forced on you. And so inevitably, Socialists need more and more and more, and at some point it turns from voluntary to involuntary, and that's essentially communism. When we say, well, we're now going to force this collectivism where we're going to forcefully take from one and give to the other.
