The excerpt is a single-speaker presentation aimed at Irish businesses about Amazon’s “Prime Early” event and the need to develop an Amazon/marketplace strategy. The presenter (unnamed in the transcript, likely from Vinny and Co per the title) explains marketplace listing and multi-channel ecommerce (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce → Amazon, eBay, etc.), describes a 3-month integration/onboarding service that hands operational capability back to the client, and invites viewers to book discovery calls and access digitization funding (LEO, Enterprise Ireland) to capture holiday/Christmas traffic.

Hey folks, hope all is well with you. Prime Day has just ended for the second time this year, and this year it was called Prime Early with a focus on giving access to Prime users to key deals. What are some of the highlights? Well, you can see here 31% of Amazon Prime Early Access shoppers have made a holiday purchase, so Christmas purchase, during the sale. Nearly 1 in 4 have bought toys and games. That was after day 1. That was 2 days ago, the 11th of October. Day 2 was in yesterday, the 12th. The numbers are starting to sift through across the US and the UK, but what we are finding is that people are starting to shop early. Now, from an Irish perspective, and that's what I'm here to talk about today, we haven't really gotten on to the idea of Prime Day. We don't really like Amazon as a concept either, and we haven't really caught on to marketplaces listing or multi-channel listing. I've worked in it for over 15 years and I've seen the value in it. And it's not perfect, but the, the size and scale of the platform are just too hard to ignore. And now that Amazon are shipping all around the country, they are directly competing with all of you right now. So we have to start determining what our Amazon strategy is. Over the last 18 months or so, we've been really focusing in on trying to develop overall capabilities for being able to develop marketplace— or sorry, ecommerce strategies. And we've largely ignored Amazon, partly because we think there's a big price squeeze. Well, when you look at the cost of running your own website and doing all the marketing that you have to do, there's quite a lot of parity across those cost bases. What we have developed is an ability to list from platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce onto marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, and further beyond, right across Europe. And where we're really focused is getting you listed onto those platforms. So over kind of a 3-month period, we've developed a way of working where we can take your products out and processes and replicate them on these marketplaces. And generally speaking, there are the biggest hurdles that people overcome: getting set up properly and getting your products optimized and getting them ready for you to start learning how the platform can help you. You might go with a curated list of your products, you might have a different pricing strategy, you might buy separately for Amazon. And they're just 3 of the ways that you can interact with it. Now, it's not going to be for everybody, and I think learning that and understanding and accepting that through good data is something that's really important. But we want to help and put you in a position to do that. And ultimately, after the 3rd month of working with us, we will hand that product back to you. So you get the operational capability, you get the process capability, and you get the learnings from us on how to run this effectively. In your business and run alongside Amazon for the long term. And I think that's the really key thing that I'd encourage you all to start thinking about. It's how do we run alongside this behemoth that is Amazon. If you don't do it now, you're certainly going to be looking at it early next year, I would think. But given there's so much traffic going there now, people have started their Christmas shopping on Amazon above all other platforms right now. There's too much opportunity to ignore. And don't forget, these are incremental sales. These are the sorts of things that we need to be adding to our armory over the next 3 or 4 months. So if you do want to figure out how we can do this with you, we are taking calls now. We're setting up discovery sessions with people and we're trying to get people integrated over the next 3 or 4 weeks so that you can capture some of that really important Christmas traffic. To do so, there's a link embedded into the email here as well where you can go and book time with us, figure out how you can do it. And we're also working with people as well to secure funding through digitization vouchers, through LEO, Enterprise Ireland and beyond to make the whole experience quite affordable. And we will help with the application process. We've done it many times before, and in general, you're in a good pair of hands. So look, we would love the opportunity to sit down and talk this through with you. Book a 30-minute call to see, is it for you? Then we can move quickly to discovery and get the ball rolling so that you can make benefit of these amazing numbers coming through on these platforms already. And we're only talking about one or two. This capability opens up the door to you selling your product through multiple marketplaces in multiple territories over the next years ahead. So like I said, book a call with us now. Let's figure out a way for you to take this forward, and we put that power back in your hands after a couple of months, freeing you up to do all the things that you want to do when it comes to marketplaces. Have a good week.
