Welcome to the vSpot, your home for the e-com nerdy news. It's NRF season. All you SaaS bros and gals will be bar hopping in New York following the WhatsApp, drinking free beer and cocktails. Not knowing who the sponsor is. 'Tis the season, I guess. Spare a thought though for the exhibitors on the basement floor. Bring them a coffee, go flash a smile, but don't get too close. They're not used to human contact, and most likely they've been set up since yesterday. Let's do the news. First up, SNP downgrades Sachs. About fucking time. Next, Target is growing their wellness category assortment and expanding the plan by thousands of new lines, all of them under $10. Wow, nothing says clean health and wellness like supplements priced under $10. I hope they get into GLP-1 and male pattern baldness also. Next, and it's UK news. River Island has confirmed its latest raft of store closures. Thank God. More UK news now, and that leisure brand Thalia reported a £2.5 million loss against a £20 million revenue haul. A determined brand though, they plan on persisting on the path that they were on up to this point. Meanwhile, Primark are this week launching their biggest ever activewear collection with prices starting at £4.50. I am sure though that their styles and patterns will be far more unique and innovative. As it is NRF week and I've already covered what might be some of the challenge but in my exclusive preview, here are some of the key things you might not hear there this week. Did you see that keynote? We are a unique SaaS company. We are AI atheists. That is why we're different. Sure, I'd love to see your demo. Who doesn't love 6ix7en? My kid said it would be a great pitch. Hey, hey, Guy. Our customer data is completely secure. We never track anything. Returns are good. We actually like them. We finally fixed marketing attribution for real this time. Inventory forecasting is totally predictable right now. And my favorite, we just want humans to shop for the joy of it, not because of incentives. There you have it, folks. I'm going to be live at Javits this week reporting from the NRF Big Show. Stay tuned for more from the VSpot. Thanks also to our sponsors Omnisend continuing to join us on this ride.
