Hi guys, it's Seonán here from Operate Remote, and I'm the creator of this course, Communication for People Managers and Leaders of Distribution Teams. In this short video, I'd like to talk you through what you can expect to find in the course below. Communication really is the lifeline of all successful remote teams, and this means as a people manager or a new people manager of a remote team, that it's your responsibility to ensure that your team are effectively communicating for your productivity, for engagement, and of course collaboration. But remote working is still a relatively new concept, right? So that means that our leadership skills, knowledge, and styles don't often translate into remote-specific environments. This course is designed to empower you as a leader, focusing on a holistic approach to communication on your remote team. It looks at areas such as trust and building relationships, helping you to understand yourself and your team a lot more deeply, but also looking at areas such as culture and language considerations. How about asynchronous and synchronous communication? I know I had all of these questions when I was managing a remote team. It's jam-packed full of exercises that won't take up too much time but will allow you to learn in a way that suits you. It looks at reflection pieces. Quizzes, proven strategies, and knowledge-based researches to help you get on the right track with communication on your remote team. Thanks for listening. I hope to see you soon.
