Vinny O Brien offers humorous warnings about using LLMs in public. Keep them on a leash, muzzle them before they post to LinkedIn, clean up after their mess, and don't let them loose around children. Treat your language model like you'd treat a dog.

It has come to our attention that overuse of LLMs in public is becoming a social nuisance and a hazard to our health. Good evening, fellow citizens of e-commerce. This is our first ever midweek VSpot public service announcement, or PSA, because, well, we needed one. Today's topic: using your LLM in public, or some of you seem to treat it as your emotional support pooch with Wi-Fi. First up, keep your LLM on a leash. The closer you are that you walked with, the better. Remember also that leash is for you, to give you just enough rope. Second, keep a muzzle on your LLM. Barking mad in public is not a classy look on anyone, and although your little pooch may not bite, Its bark, especially its LinkedIn one, can be very annoying. Next, occasionally your LLM may embarrass you by soiling itself in public. This appears to be a common trait amongst modern GPTs. Clean up after them. After all, they are not human and they do not know the difference. Next, the prompt is not just for LinkedIn, it's for life. It ain't going anywhere. So if you are into that fancy French tickler, remember, they are onto you. If your prompt jumps upon a LinkedIn stranger's, and this is a good one, stranger's LinkedIn post, take it down, get it down. Do not let them jump up without permission or guidance. Just 'cause they think it's okay to give a POV, it is probably not what the author wanted, nor what you wanted to say. If your LLM bumps into another to sniff around the back of its DB, It's okay, they've been doing this to each other for years. In fact, they need this for their survival. LLMs can be playful and fun and should not be trusted around children. Not now, not ever. And don't forget, LLMs are a new breed. We still don't know what they are like or what they seem to want, but they are here in great numbers and around us all of the time. We all love pets, but it's usually because it's a one-way power trip. So our advice to you here at the Bee Spot, as you think through your agentic lifestyle, to heed these warnings. Because like many of you in the walk of life, we have stepped in that doo-doo one too many times. And let's be honest, it smells like— This has been the first Bee Spot public service announcement.
