This is a YouTube video titled "V Spot Midweek Edition 16.12.25" (created 2025-12-17) containing a short monologue-style public service announcement by a single speaker (labeled SPEAKER A). The speaker critiques AI-driven, formulaic LinkedIn predictions—coining terms like “predictive AI post-inflation” and “prediction cosplay”—and advises leaders to be skeptical: “check the receipt” (seek data or lived experience), discount certainty, favor witnesses over prophets, and post more observation, context, and humility. The clip closes with pragmatic advice to log off LinkedIn, reconnect with reality (“touch grass”), and return with a viewpoint that costs something.

Welcome to the VSpot Midweek Edition public service announcement. This is, as I said, a public service announcement. If your LinkedIn feed community currently reads like a fortune cookie read by ChatGPT wearing a Patagonia vest, you may be experiencing what's known as predictive AI post-inflation. Yes, the side effects include by 2027 Nobody will be talking about this. And here's where most leaders are going to fail. Most leaders. Breathe. You are not alone. And here's the honest truth. AI didn't suddenly make everybody clairvoyant. It is called pattern matching cheap. That was the Irish way to say it, but it's pattern matching cheap. We're seeing the same 3 inputs: macro fear, VC vibes and half-digested earnings calls, or some not digested at all, run through the same model and then spat out with full certainty and absolute confidence. These were the same people all in on Web 3.0. How to avoid it? Well, we right now we see prediction cosplay. They've got zero skin in the game and they are using the maximum confidence font. So how do we combat this? Well, rule one, Check the receipt. If there's no data, no lived experience, no, this blew up in my face and now I love the failure, it's not insight, it is Mad Libs for ChatGPT. Rule 2: Discount certainty. Anyone claiming inevitability in commerce has obviously never met a customer or never been in commerce. Rule 3: Favor witnesses over prophets. That's P-R-O-P-H-E-T-S, not P-R-O-F-I-T-S, which we've all never seen. I saw this happen beats this will happen every single time. So what do we say in rounding up? Post less prediction, more observation, more context, and more humility. The future does not exist with or need narrators. It needs editors. This has been a VSpot midweek public service announcement. If systems persist, log off LinkedIn, touch grass with your bare feet, then come back with a point of view that costs you something. Till the next time.
