It features Vinny O Brien presenting a short monologue announcing and describing a new online course/module focused on brand proposition and practical frameworks for applying learning on the job. Vinny outlines the format (four one-week modules, one hour per week, recorded modules delivered to participants' inboxes, plus a live one-to-many Q&A session three days later), explains the rationale (need for fast, contextualized learning during skill shortages), and invites participants to ask questions to shape classroom content. A brief interaction occurs at the end when Sam walks into the room and Vinny closes the video. The excerpt is in English and aimed at professionals/learners interested in brand and user experience.

Happy Friday, folks. Today I want to talk a little bit about the course that I'm just about to launch and why I'm going to do it. I'm going to go through the how, what, and why, or the what, why, and how questions right now to kind of give you an insight into why I've decided to do this. So loads of challenges out there right now, lots of external forces that are forcing us to learn new ways of doing things. We're being forced to think a lot quicker absorb a lot more information and try and make decisions on really limited information. And I think that's a huge challenge we all face. So what am I trying to do about it? Well, as a consultant, I work with tons and tons of companies. You wouldn't believe the, the number. I'm in a very privileged position to be able to do that. What it means is that we're able to build frameworks around the things that we do, and I'm going to try and deliver that to you via a new learning module. Why have I not gone down the formal route of Formulaic structured learning. Well, I think it's going to be really challenging for people to absorb that. We've got a lot of stuff on during the day. We absorb lots of media from different sources and we're trying to assimilate it all the time. What am I going to do different? Well, we decided to break it down into modules. So for example, I'm recording my first module today that's going to be dropped into the inboxes of all those participants who are taking part in this first module. It's about brand proposition. Brand proposition. What the hell is that? So brand proposition is really what underpins how your site's going to be perceived by customers, not just your site but the whole user experience. I'm trying to break it down into 4 one-week set, 4 sessions, 1 hour per week, where I'm going to distill the information, the framework for you to start thinking through. It'll be there, you can reference it, you can cut it up, you can pause the video, you can look at the framework material that I'm using, and you can do with this what you need to in the time that, that that you want and in a time that works for you and maybe for your team as well. So what's different about that? Well, we follow that up 3 days later with a one-to-many session. So I'll be on a live video call with all the participants taking your questions in real time, which is probably the thing that I think is kind of not necessarily unique, but it's a thing that we need right now. And this is what it's all about. It's about relevancy. So that's my promise to the participants that we're going to be doing on-the-spot questions. With each of the topics as they go. So you get the chance to assimilate the information, put it in the context of your job, and then make it useful for you and your team. That's kind of different than all the materials that may be stored, banked, and vaulted in your school classroom. That's, that's it in a nutshell. So why do I think you should sign up? Well, right now it's really hard to get good quality information. It's hard to contextualize that in terms of the job that you're doing. Classbook learning is only getting us so far. It doesn't give us the context of being in the job that we're currently doing, and right now there's a huge skill shortage, so we need a lot more information a lot quicker, and we need to be doing our jobs while we're doing it. And I think they're the biggest challenges that I have seen, and these are the questions that I've got asked. Finally, we're going to be using the modules to build your classroom content, so the more questions you ask me and our team, the better it's going to be for you because we're designing this around you. I'm not prescribing every little thing that I think you're going to want to learn because all your challenges are quite varied, but the framework that we've developed allows us to think through that pretty quickly and to take your information and give you really good high-quality answers. I thought I was going to keep this short, but I can see in the timer I'm running up to 3 and a half minutes. If you want to sign up, I'm going to put the link into the comments down below. LinkedIn, as you know, is a really important and powerful part of where we market and where we talk about the topics that we want to talk about. I'm going to be live on the radio today at 1 o'clock, Dublin City FM, where you can tune in and listen to me talk about brand proposition. And this is Sam, who just walked into the room. He's usually part of my classroom sessions, part of my consulting, and that's just the way life is right now, and I love it. So making no apologies for Sam. He is— we're just saying goodbye to everyone and say happy Friday. Do you want to say happy Friday? No? Happy Friday, folks. Take care.
