Short YouTube talk (Keith Ferrazzi) debunking three common myths about leadership: (1) that leadership is a heroic solo activity — instead leadership centers on the team and the leader is a team member who facilitates value extraction; (2) that leadership requires an official title — Ferrazzi argues leadership is earned through vision and followership rather than conferred by title; (3) that leadership is innate — he states leadership can be learned, grown and nurtured through humility, vulnerability, empathy and the ability to enlist others. Ends with an invitation to a free Mindvalley masterclass on evolving leadership.

Foreign leadership Is this heroic and solo sport? Absolutely not. Leadership is actually not about the leader. Leadership is about the team. It is so important for the team to be the focus of a leader. The team is the essence of the success of leadership. The leader is actually a member of the team. The leader's job is to facilitate the extraction of value from a team. Leadership is about the team. Myth number two is that leadership requires a title that we wait around for us to become leaders. No. Leadership is something that's earned. It's earned by our capacity to have a vision and to enlist and invite individuals who choose to follow that vision to choose to create and to co create with us. We once we invite somebody into our vision, we are inviting them into their vision. It has nothing to do with the title. It just has to do with followership. The third is that leadership is an innate aspect. You either are born with it or you're not. BS Leadership is made, it's fostered, it's grown, it's nurtured. It's something that can be learned and developed. You are not born into leadership. You earn leadership through hard work, through earnest humility, through vulnerability and empathy, and through your ability to enlist other people. And it's a lifetime journey, not something granted to you as a birthright. I'm inviting you to join my free masterclass with Mindvalley where we're going to go into depth of how you can evolve your leadership style to achieve everything you dream and desire. I'll see you there.
