We revere men when they age. Why do we tell women they're going to be muted and invisible? I'll tell you why. Because our power is so potent. And if we can just get her to be terrified of her aging, if we can get her to spend all her time and her money trying to look like she's frozen in 25 forever, she won't be able to build a multi million dollar business. She won't be able to change the world. She'll be so afraid of herself, she'll spend all of her time and her resources and her money chasing toxic beauty culture. So we have endless resources on how to uphold our physical longevity. But what I see over and over and over again, the one place that so many of us are missing is psychological longevity. Harvard just completed an 80 year long study study of adult development. And they found there is a single predictor for health and happiness as you age. And it is not diet and it is not exercise. It is the quality of your connections. One of the biggest questions I get on social media is, what is your workout now? Hold on to yourselves. I don't work out. I had my blood test done and what she said to me is, Amanda, you are some kind of an enigma. And I said to her, it's because my emotional hygiene is exquisite. You can't outrun your suppressed feelings. Longevity is not the number of years you live. Longevity is how deeply you belong to yourself while you're here. Longevity is not a hack. It's a homecoming. Welcome home.
