This is a YouTube video titled "AI is becoming one of the most powerful tools for storytelling and learning I’ve ever explored." It features a monologue discussing the power of AI as a collective human knowledge tool, illustrated through a demonstration involving a fictional character named Adam. The speaker invites viewers to attend a free AI Summit event to learn more about making AI an ally in a creative and inspiring way. The content is a single-speaker presentation focused on AI's educational and storytelling potential.
AI can be an incredibly powerful learning tool. At AI Summit a couple of years back, I did a demonstration where I created a hundred thousand year old man called Adam. And I asked ChatGPT to recreate the life of Adam. I then created a way for people to talk to Adam and ask him questions. If you could talk to a man who lived for a hundred thousand years, what would you ask him? What would be the most significant things he's experienced in life? What would be his favorite cities? Who did he fall in love with? Beautiful thing about this demo, it brought in real historical context. Adam spoke about his favorite city, the woman he fell in love with. What shocked me most was when we asked Adam a question such as, what is probably the most significant thing that mankind ever invented that changed your experience of the world? And Adam said, fire. Adam said, before fire, we could never really sleep properly. We would sit under trees, always fearful, cold, fearful that we might get eaten by whatever was out there. But when we invented fire, the rules of the game changed. Not only did we have warmth, light, but we now had safety. We now ruled the savannah, we now ruled plains. We were now the apex species on the planet. And it happened because we learned how to invent fire. The beauty of it is the emotion and the depth and the presence in which Adam spoke about that. This is the power of AI AI is basically the amalgamation of all of human knowledge. Yes. You can think of it as artificial intelligence. I really don't like that word. Rather think of it as the sum of all human knowledge. All our work, all our history, all our science, all our poetry, all our art and music, all mashed together in one universal brain that anyone can plug into. And when you think about that, AI is really collective humanity, past and present and future. If we called AI the Collective Humanity Engine, I believe we would have a lot more people being open to AI but we don't. We. For some weird reason, a bunch of geeks named it artificial intelligence, a really bad label. But when you think of AI as collective humanity, our past memories, our experiences, a tool to learn, it becomes such a beautiful thing. And this is one of the things that we want to share with you at AI Summit. We want to show you how to make AI your ally. So I'll see you there. It's happening live on Zoom, completely free every year. We have over a hundred thousand people enrolled to attend these free AI classes over the weekend from world class teachers. And I hope to see you there in true mindvalley style. It's not geeky, it's not overly technical. It's fun, creative. It'll inspire you. And it'll leave you a changed person. I'll see you soon.
