A short guided breathing exercise (audio transcript) led by a speaker who instructs listeners to perform a diaphragmatic-to-chest deep breath sequence, hold until the first urge to breathe, and exhale through a small-straw-lip shape repeatedly for three to five minutes to relieve stress, increase relaxation and focus, and potentially generate body heat (useful for ice baths).

This exercise can help you relieve stress, feel more relaxed, and even become more focused. Sit comfortably and you are going to be breathing in through your nose into your diaphragm. First, take a deep breath in to your diaphragm, then into your chest, fully in. You're going to swallow. Then you're going to let your diaphragm relax as you hold your breath. And you're just going to hold your breath until you get the first urge to breathe. And then you're going to breathe out like you're breathing out for a small straw. Then you're going to repeat this same method over and over again for three to five minutes, and you're going to feel really relaxed, really calm, and it can even generate heat in your body. So if you're into things like ice baths, it'll actually help you stay in an ice bath for longer. So make sure you save this for later and share it with all your friends.
