Feel Yourself As Deeply by Kristina Mänd-Lakhiani

Kristina Mänd-Lakhiani grew up in the Soviet Union following a prescribed path: strong academics, fast career, marriage, two kids. At 40, she felt relief when seen as herself and no guilt during work trips, making her question if her emotions were wrong. She learned to read emotions as neutral signals instead of sources of shame.

I want to share a story with you because I believe a lot of you will relate to it. I was born in Soviet Union, and that means that I didn't have many scenarios in my life. We actually had very prescribed way of achieving success. So as was expected, I studied really well in school, I went to a good university, got a good degree, I started my career and I made it super fast. Then I got married, I got two children, and sure enough, a boy and a girl. So it seems that I lived this perfect life by the book. At the age of 40, I started noticing that something is off. Sometimes I feel feelings that I'm not supposed to feel or think thoughts that are wrong. For example, I have kids and I would go on a business trip or to work and be fully immersed in work and not feel guilty that I'm not spending time with my kids like a good mother. Or I would go out with my friends and feel relieved to be seen as myself and not as part of a family, not my husband's wife. I'm sure a lot of or have had situations where you realize that what you feel is somehow wrong, inappropriate, misplaced, not what you are supposed to feel. And that's how I felt at the age of 40 with my perfect life. There were aspects of my life that made me absolutely puzzled. Why do I feel like this? Why do I feel this wrong thing? The truth is that there are no wrong or right emotions. Emotions just are. They are given to us for a reason to pay attention to that area of our. And when I realized that, I told myself, I'm done feeling ashamed. I'm done feeling guilty for who I really am. Have you ever felt this way when your thought, your feeling or your inclination seems somehow wrong, inappropriate, something which you are not supposed to be feeling? I'm sure a lot of you would have had this kind of situation. And if you're curious to find out how I came out of this dilemma, how I solved this cognitive dissonance, then please come to my upcoming masterclass. Because this realization that I am done feeling ashamed for what I am has launched me on a long journey of transformation. So I welcome you to my masterclass. I hope to see you there.
