Vishen Lakhiani reflects on the immediate aftermath of the US election and argues that, despite negative election coverage, key US economic indicators are strong. He cites low unemployment (under 4% for over two years), declines in Black unemployment, falling poverty rates, gasoline under $3/gal, rising manufacturing and energy production, modest real wage growth (1.5%), increased real spending per person (+$1,100), and record-high stock indices (Dow and S&P). He urges viewers to take advantage of these conditions and promotes Mindvalley’s Financial Freedom Summit — a free, three-day (12-hour) online event focused on income growth, investing, automated businesses, and money mindset; ~100,000 signups expected.

So the US Election just ended and no matter what side you are on, you might be feeling some elation or some dread and apprehension. And this is perfectly understandable, right? There's been so much hype about this candidate is going to explode the economy. This candidate is going to grow the economy. What's going to happen now? We don't really know. We all hope for the best. And I trust that the workings of America are going to ensure that no matter what candidate won, things are going to be okay. Now, there's one quote I want to leave you with, and this was in the Economist just a few weeks ago. It said, america, an economy with an unemployment rate of 4% and a per person GDP of 85,000 does not have to be made great again. It is great. Now, the thing is this, with so much negative news that's been hitting us during this election, we've forgotten something. And that is America is actually, economic wise, doing pretty good. The markers that need to be going up have been going up. The markets that need to be going down have been going down. The question is, are you taking advantage of this? Some examples, unemployment rate has been at orbit below 4% for more than two years, according to the Atlantic. Unemployment for Black Americans down 5.6% according to the White House. Poverty rates of families in the United States have gone from 12.3% in 1990 to 8.3% this year. Gasoline prices have fallen below $3 a gallon and things going up. Manufacturing has surged. The US Is now producing more energy than it can consume. Real wages are up 1.5%. Real spending per person is up $1,100. And most importantly, the Dow and S and P are up levels, breaking record after record this past year. Now you can choose to focus on the negative and decide that the world is effed and that there is no hope. Or you can look at what's actually happening and ask yourself, how can I take advantage of this for the sake of my family, for my income? This is one of the reasons why this month mindvalley is organizing our annual Financial Freedom Summit. It's an event we do where we're bringing together incredible speakers on the art of making, growing and multiplying your income. You learn how to grow your income through trading, through investing, through building, building automatic businesses. You learn the mindset of money. We'll be talking about the psychology of earning income, how to allocate your monthly salary in the right way so that you're building wealth that you can pass on to your children. All of these are really important topics. Now, if you're someone who believes the world is really messed up right now, and I don't know what country you're in, I don't know what situation you're in, but I do know that if you feel the world is a dangerous place, this is probably going to be useful to you. You can choose the sessions you want to attend. It's happening for three days, 12 hours, world class speakers, completely free. And we make this free because it really helps get our mindvalley brand and our mindvalley teachers out to an even wider audience. We're expecting about 100,000 people to sign up and I hope you're one of them. Check out the link in the bio to see the topics, the speakers, and to learn more.
