Hi there. Mindvalley Community, this is Vishnu Kiani, and I'm recording this from Barcelona where we are running special education projects. So this month in Mindvalley, we're going to be bringing you a master class with the late, legendary teacher, Sal. Ms. Adora Salm sadly passed away a couple of months ago. She was a friend and a powerful teacher in the mindvalley community. When we brought Psalm to Mindvalley's academy in May last year, 2016, people fell so in love with her teachings on Tantra and intimacy. But sadly, Salm passed away a few months back. And when this happened, we asked ourselves, what should we do with Psalm's Tantra Touch program? We spoke to a family and we offered to take the program down if that was their wish. Instead, what we heard from Saam's family and Saam's key allies and her son Gabe, is that they felt that in every teacher, in every author, their legacy lies in their teachings. And the worst thing you can do is to no longer present their teachings to the world. So in the spirit of Psalm's teachings of Tantra and intimacy, to help her legacy spread further, we came to understand that the best thing we can do for Salm is to ensure thousands more students experience her greatest work, which is Tantra Touch. And so what I wanted to do is let you know that we're going to be bringing Tantra Touch to you as our featured program this month. And you'll get to experience that beautiful masterclass I recorded with Salm before she passed away. People love this class, and I trust you will too. I also have a special message for you from Sahm's son, Gabe. Gabe wanted to share with you what his mother meant to him, what her work meant to him and our community. So you have a better idea of where sahm's legacy is going in the future. So let me introduce you to Gabe.
My name is Gabriel Valdez. I'm Sam, Isadora's son. I am currently taking over her business. My mother's business was focused in on Tantra and it is an old art form that originates from India. I have gone on multiple trips with my mother to her ashram and I am very interested and super psyched to be taking on the work. My mother really stood for freedom and empowerment, especially for women, but not just women, for everybody spiritually and really down at the core emotionally. So many of us have a hard time breaking through our intimacy barriers. It's a very big problem in the world. It causes most people to not be very close with Each other. So at the end of the day, my mother really wanted people to be able to heal their wounds and be able to be closer to each other. That's usually where pain comes from, is lack of emotional support, lack of people connecting with each other. Also just not being able to release the pain that they've incurred or experienced through sexual abuse, physical abuse, any kind of abuse. It's really what my mother stood for was tantra was a way to heal that pain. And as my mother used it, I feel like now I'm going to use it. It was something that she used to heal the pain from her childhood that nobody should ever experience. And now that she's gone and it's just me here, I feel that the same medicine that worked for her can work for me as well. So I've decided to keep my mother's legacy going because it really meant something to her and because she was one of the most important things in my life. Actually, the most important thing in my life. I brought it upon myself that it's something that I need to do to continue bringing this out to everyone that needs it. My mother believed that she could help thousands of people if she got this message out to the mainstream. And so I feel that she kind of hit the wall and she made a mark, she made a dent on the wall, but she didn't quite fully finish the job. And I think that now it's up to me to pick it up and keep it going, to make sure that everybody hears this message and that this movement does not stop. But sadly, through my mother's death, it would actually empower the movement and boost the movement to everybody in the world. And I've chosen to do this to mindvalley because I've noticed that my mother was already helping hundreds of people on her own, within our own community. People were flying from all over the world. She flew to others and delivered this message, but it was so small. And what I realized was that when my mother teamed up with mindvalley, she was able to gain so much more exposure and really put her message out on, like, a big blast. I mean, so much more people were able to see it. And I saw that mindvalley was really giving her the tools and the right way to deliver the message. So after my mother passed, well, before my mother passed, I really had no interest in tantra. In fact, the very work that my mother did repelled me because it was very foreign and I didn't understand it. And growing up with a conservative Christian father here and there on and off. Our relationship was also obscure at times, but I didn't think that Tantra was good, and I didn't see the positive benefits of it. But after my mother died, I saw how many people truly loved her and the great things that she really did for people. And, you know, when her students received the news, there was a state of panic and chaos. They were ready to walk away. They were ready to give up on Tantra. They thought maybe it didn't work. The breathwork doesn't exist. It's just made up. You know, it didn't work for Sam. It's not going to work for anybody. That's a lie. That's a lie. Because I've seen those people come to the house and tell me how much that she really meant to them and what she did for them and their marriages and their friendships and just the way that they feel about their sexuality now. I mean, she helped sex workers and doctors and all kinds of people that you just wouldn't believe, you know? And I know that when the women, the women under my mother's brand saw that and they saw me come up and stand up for what my mother believed in, it was a pivotal movement to them that this movement does need to go on. Because, you know, if Gabriel Valdez, the son of a tantric hippie mother, you know, couldn't bear tantric before this happened, all of a sudden he's the one telling us that we can keep going and we can do it, then obviously there must be some good truth to this. And I know that she really stood for something amazing. So with all the information I've given you today, I hope that you really consider carrying my mother's legacy forward through one of her great courses called Tantra Touch that you can purchase off of Mindvalley. And I really want to reach my hand out to everybody that's been so supportive and just sharing all the love. It's. It's keeping me in much better places than I probably would be without it. And I'd like to extend my hand out and hope everybody enjoys what my mother left behind. I know I do.
Thank you, Gabe. And thank you for tuning in. Please remember Psalm's masterclass will be airing this month in Mindvalley Academy. You can enroll in the class below. And I look forward to. Forward to doing everything I can to help bring Psalm's incredible wisdom to thousands and millions more people like yourself. I'll see you on the masterclass.
