Jeffrey Allen identifies 12 distinct areas of spiritual fitness, a framework broader than meditation that helps people reliably access deeper states like samadhi and synchronicities. He observed this baseline in students and compares it to tuning an engine for peak performance.

A fit body is like going from a regular car to having a Ferrari to take you around the world. Now imagine if that Ferrari engine could be the engine that powers your connection with your soul. I would love to introduce you to Jeffrey Allen, the creator of Mindvalley's spiritual fitness plan.
Spiritual fitness first came into my awareness when I was watching my own students. So I've been teaching for many years, and what I noticed was that some students get it right away, but not everybody. And I noticed this fitness. I noticed that, ah, there's a base level of spiritual fitness. And I realized there's actually 12 different areas of spiritual fitness. It's kind of like thinking of the muscles in your body, right?
In a similar way, many people who practice spiritual programs such as meditation or creative visualization are saying, I want to have that samadhi experience. I want to have that experience of, like, creating synchronicities in my life. But they haven't reached that baseline level. And that spiritual fitness is more than just meditation or mindfulness. There are multiple different dimensions that you look at and you have created that roadmap.
If students had all 12 of these levels of fitness, they're very easily able to pick up new things if it's related to spirituality and their consciousness, which, frankly, is everything, right?
