A short, solo YouTube presentation by Wayne (CREI Partners) explaining how to define investing goals for real estate syndications. He contrasts the two primary objectives—ongoing cash flow (passive income/salary replacement) and long-term appreciation (larger future payout)—and encourages viewers to assess which suits them. When the last time you went shopping without a list? If you're anything like me, you ended up wandering around like a lost puppy and then purchased much more than you planned. It's the same premise when it comes to investing. Before you invest in anything, you have to know your investing goals and have clarity around the results you expect from making that investment. Good day. I'm Wayne with CREI Partners, and in this video we're going to talk about how to define your investing goals and and how knowing your goals may help you decipher which real estate syndications or group investments might be in alignment with those goals. In the case of real estate syndications, there are two main goals that people tend to pursue. One is cash flow. For example, if your goal is to quit your job five years from now, then cash flow might be really important to you because it's an ongoing source of passive income. It's almost like a salary replacement. If, on the other hand, you're not looking for money in the immediate term, you're looking further down the road for potentially a bigger sum of money, then maybe you're looking for an asset that will have a greater potential for appreciation. It's very important for you to assess the difference between these two immediate cash flow and future appreciation. There's no right or wrong answer and everybody will be different. Some people may want that cash flow and others may want more appreciation. Now that you've learned how simple the top two goals for investing in real estate syndications are, which one do you think suits you best? Or maybe a mixture of the two? Comment below and tell me Cash flow appreciation, or both.
