What is passive investing? Imagine you come up to a retail center like what's behind me, or an office building, or a multifamily, and you say I can't own it because of my current net worth or liquidity. Well, passive investing is joining sponsors and pulling money together with others to buy assets that you could not normally buy on your own. And it's also you're not having to be responsible for the day to day maintenance, operation, financials, taxes, etc. Etc. That would normally happen if you were a sole owner and having to do it all yourself. Passive investing is a lot of upfront work where you're analyzing the deal, analyzing the sponsor, but then determining for yourself if it's a good investment for you. Once you invest in the deal, it's taken over, just like a business would in a stock situation that you invest in other type investments. Hope this helps.
