Both my mother and sister developed breast cancer about six months apart. My medical doctors had me come in and they just wanted me to do a double mastectomy and go on with my life. I just couldn't believe it. I mean, I was a teacher. I'd been teaching school for 13 years. And in my mind, I'm thinking, I can do better than that. Are you kidding? You know? So I tried to very calmly look at them and say, no, thank you, when I had such bad thoughts in my mind that I really wanted to tell them because they gave you no options. So I went ahead and completed my teaching career, basically, and got an ND certification, started studying all kinds of natural health. But I chose not to do anything.
