A short YouTube conversation between host Josh Trent and a guest addressing chronic exhaustion among women—especially mothers—and proposing "microdosing" self-care as a practical, in-the-moment technique to restore balance and feminine power. The guest describes the practice as a brief, functional neurological exercise that targets the corpus callosum to regulate the nervous system, while also framing it in spiritual terms (intuition, source/God).
You know, I think about the concept of exhaustion and many women, especially moms, are freaking exhausted.
We live in a very masculine, dominant world and we're like, this isn't it. This isn't what I want. We're not here to do it all. It's a system that's designed to fail us. And instead of looking at the system as being the one failing us, we think we are failures. When we're depleted, we need something to take care of ourselves, to get us in a better state, to be a better wife, to be a better mother, to do better at work. And so to me, what's so important is creating these microdoses. We can microdose self care. And that's where the magic happens. You can do it while someone's in front of you. You can do it if you don't have kids. You can do this in an interview, you can do this on stage, you can do this in a conflict with a co worker when you're like, oh, God, here she goes again. It's such a magical tool, and it's literally a functional neurological exercise that targets your corpus callosum. It's a part of your brain that balances your hemispheres.
It's not just pseudoscience either. It's real biology and neurology, and it's also spirituality.
You literally opening a gateway to nervous system regulation. You're getting in your brain and your body. You are amplifying your creative output. You're amplifying performance. You have a direct channel to your intuition. You have a direct channel to source, to God, to universe.
What has been one of the biggest revelations or biggest ways that you've been grateful for God in your life?
