A short transcript of a conversation (two speakers) reacting to the idea of a genderless society and flattened hierarchies. The speakers reference historical policies in Mao-era China (uniform clothing, eradication of gender differences), critique pluralistic/egalitarian perspectives that treat all consciousness as equal, and mention a statistic that ~20% of the world population (≈1.6 billion) is relevant to their point.

Questions this video answers

Approximately 20% of the planet's population, which the speakers state is about 1.6 billion people.

What was done with Mao when communism started in China. He would actually eradicate gender differences. So, yeah.
Put everybody with the same.
Clothing, genderless society, everybody wore exactly the.
Same uniforms.
Creates this flatland. And we see it in America now.
In that type of thinking, what happens is one says that all consciousness is of the same value. So the consciousness of the goldfish in the bowl is the same value as the consciousness of a human. And I couldn't disagree more.
Yeah.
And there's a huge part of the system that's trying to say that right now that the thing with pluralistic relativism is this egalitarian perspective that creates this thing called flatland. And in Flatland, all hierarchies get flattened. Everybody's the same, all consciousness is the same. And that's problematic. Now. We have approximately 20% of the population of the planet.
Which is about 1.6 billion people that.
Actually are thinking at this level. Now.
