A clip of Cal Callahan speaking about how to find purpose: pay attention to what makes you feel good, get quiet and remove obligations that aren't yours, "weed the garden" to clarify desires, prioritize joy and flow over grinding for money, and act on dreams rather than leaving them unfulfilled. He contrasts comfort/grind with flow and emphasizes turning unconscious patterns into conscious choices ("until you make the unconscious consciousness, it'll run your life").

If you were to speak on a stage to, like, a hundred thousand people and you were to tell them, like, this has been my experience about finding my purpose, and this is what I would advise you to find your purpose on. Like, how. How do people find their purpose? Your purpose is like a series of these little steps. And if you can pay attention to the things that make you feel really good, that's part. Part of the path. This isn't complicated, but it does take discipline because you've got to get quiet. This is about you, what makes you feel good. What are those things that you're doing just because you think it's what you're supposed to do? And can you remove those from your life? Start weeding the garden. If you can do that, you'll start to get more clear on the things you want to do. And what are the things that bring you life? Who are the people you really enjoy being around? Memories lost, all the memories lost. All the words never said. It's like we've heard this thing, you know? The graveyard is the richest place in the world because all the dreams of people that have unfulfilled them is trillions of dollars that sit in the graveyard because people never had the courage to act on their dreams. I'm comfortable. I'm comfortable right now. My job's okay. I have fun outside my job. And it's like your fucking whole life can be filled with joy. And you don't know that because you haven't experienced it, and that's okay. And I wouldn't have understood that until I actually experienced it, because I don't care how much money you've made, there's always more to be made, especially if you're not in the right. I fucking see a lot of that. And when I see it, it pings me, like, don't be that. And what happens is other opportunities start to come about that you didn't even know there. And by the way, they could be worth a lot of money and you're loving what you're doing. And even if they don't turn out to be a lot of money, you're having fun. Yes. You're just having fun. None of the other stuff matters. Are we having fun? Stuff will fall into line. We will start to do some things that are going to be amazing. And he's working on a project right now that could be the thing that we would have never found had we been nose to the grindstone, for sure. And it could be, you know, financially massive. Yeah. But that doesn't I don't even fucking care. Because it's so fun. There's a time and a place for grind and then there's a time and a place for flow. And my most insane quote that I love, that everyone can attest to, and that is until you make the unconscious consciousness. It'll run your life and then you will call it fate, Sam.
