A short recorded conversation from Josh Trent (YouTube, Dec 13, 2023) exploring the idea that long-term historical traumas—exemplified by centuries of European witch hunts—shaped the psychological and epigenetic motivations of settlers who colonized North America, contributing to violence and genocide against Native Americans. The speakers argue for a deeper, honoring apology and ownership beyond token reparations.

My God, in Europe they had 500 years of witch hunts. If you were accused of being a witch, you're automatically guilty. You had to be tortured and then all your property was taken by the church.
We were traumatized so much as like a mixture of Caucasian men and other ethnicities, right? But what if from the ruling class of England that.
Tortured our.
Ancestors so much so that we were motivated to come to the North American continent and arrive at Plymouth Rock and go through our own unconscious wounding and really genocide of the Native Americans? We literally, on an epigenetic level, on a deep subconscious level acted out the very torment, the very torture that we were experiencing onto the people that we freshly met. And how could that not be a bigger conversation about the true apology that is needed and the ownership that is needed not from building fucking casinos and giving little reparations, but like an honoring and a true apology and not just.
Like the apology would make it okay either.
