Short spoken segment from the YouTube video "Never waste a TRIGGER!" (Josh Trent) reflecting on how childhood conditioning teaches us to label pain and struggle as "bad," and proposing a reframing: step back, ask who within you is experiencing the emotion (deeper Self vs. ego layer), and treat struggle as an expected, potentially instructive part of life rather than purely negative.

Stepping back and asking who is experiencing this emotion? Who is experiencing this pain? Because in childhood developed this idea that any kind of pain or struggle or hardship is bad and we start labeling it as bad and then that relationship continues on into adulthood and that like happiness and pleasure are good and we kind of put things in boxes but there inevitably will be struggle as part of the human condition. We're not likely not to get through this life without some version of that. But the better question is should we even if we could, like, is that not part of the teaching of living this life? And if we can step back and reframe and instead of going oh, pain equal bad, ask the better questions about where, where and what is this pain and who is experiencing it? Like, who is the deeper version of me within me? Is that experiencing the pain or is some other layer of ego or human experience experiencing this pain.
