A short transcript excerpt from a YouTube video discussing the responsible use of psychedelics (psilocybin, ayahuasca, ketamine, MDMA). Speakers warn that such medicines can be misused or prematurely administered to people whose nervous systems lack stabilization, and question whether rapid therapeutic 'quick fixes' deliver real, lasting healing without proper preparatory work.

Psilocybin, ayahuasca, ketamine, mdma, all can be incredibly helpful, but they also have become hijacked and monopolized, and I think a lot of ways used very irresponsibly. And I've worked with people who weren't ready to be partaking in these medicines yet. They needed to do a little bit more regulating of the nervous system, but they participated because they were told, this is supposed to be really good for me. And their parts are saying, I don't have any stabilization yet, meaning from our adult selves. When that occurs, it can be very detrimental.
When I look at the quick fixes and all the therapists out that are, they're like, I'll wave a magnet over your head and I'll clear your trauma in five minutes. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. When does the good intention and the science actually meet to bring someone from stuckness to healing without them actually doing the work?
