Welcome to Heaven. Wellness Force Media does the deep dive to take a tour of the Czech Institute. Founder and one of the most powerful and famous voices in holistic health on the planet, Paul Czech. Before recording a special three part episode with over 100,000 listens, we toured with Paul in San Diego to go behind the curtain with the man himself.
My rock garden is at home, but my rock circle is over there. Ah, that's where I do my heavy rock.
Okay, this is where you and Aubrey were stacking rocks?
Yeah, right over here.
I just met up with Kyle in la. Oh, right on the show. I love that guy. This is like the true definition of a humble warrior. Yeah, you know, he's like this beast of a man, but there's like this so gentle kindness inside of him.
Yeah, no, there's. There's a warrior in there. I've always had a connection with him. You know, we have a lot of, you know, we both come from martial arts backgrounds and challenging father experiences and all sorts of stuff. So he appreciates what I teach because it, it really not only healed him from a lot of stuff, but changed his whole view of everything. So ye. He really has an affinity for what I teach, which is why he has me on the show.
Well, that's why I'm here, man.
Yeah, yeah.
I want to help share your message.
All right, thank you.
Now, are you still working with Danny way?
Yeah, well, you know, I don't need to do much with him because once I train him, you know, I teach people to be self sufficient, so if he needs help, he'll get a hold of me. In fact, I just spoke to him two days ago.
But he's strong and vital and healthy.
Yeah. You know, Danny's very capable of taking care of himself. When I work with people, it's not just me doing things, it's me educating them and teaching them how to take care of themselves so they don't have to keep seeing doctors and therapists unnecessarily. Otherwise I haven't really done anything for them except take money out of everyone.
Yeah.
Just. That's palliative care, you know. Yeah.
I think on a video you're like, I'm not a cheat date either. So do the basics first and then come see me.
I like to work for the public or for mass education because the world needs help. So if I'm just working with one client, it's quite a, you know, it takes me away from doing world work to focusing on one person. So I want to make sure that it's A worthy investment of my time. There's a lot of people who can afford to pay me, but they just want to, you know, have you as a notch on their belt. I'm very careful about who I work with. With the intention that this person's growth and development has the opportunity to trigger the growth and development of potentially thousands of other people. So they might run a large corporation or, you know, there's some, they're some kind of an educator or they're in a position where they will influence a lot of other people, even if the people are just watching what's happening. So a lot of the people that I work with are movers and shakers that have a kind of a big knock on effect.
Sure.
And that's, that's when I feel it's worth my time.
Now this, Paul, I saw this this morning.
You did this or. No, I done that a while ago. I, I haven't put a drawing up for a while. I just get busy doing other things. But every now and then I'll just wipe it out and change. Sometimes when I'm. Because I have an old neck injury that was quite serious.
Let's do it.
Yeah. When I am drawing on the board, if I'm doing heavy deadlifting or heavy pushing because my neck muscles that stabilize the shoulder girdle are working while I'm drawing. If I'm drawing between sets, my neck doesn't get to rest. So then when I go to lift something heavy, it puts me at greater risk of injury.
You were holding someone over your head?
Yeah, I was doing a stunt lift where I was picking up a guy like up over my head horizontally and doing lunges with him. And he got scared and he buckled and slipped through my hands and landed on my head with full body weight. And it bent my head to the right, tore the ligaments in my C5, 6, C67 of my spinal segments, blew C5 and C6 discs completely out. Pinched my spinal cord shut. The sensory function of the whole left side of my body off my left side, started atrophied. And within four weeks I'd lost like 26 pounds of muscle. So I couldn't even carry a briefcase. Well, Eugene Sandow held many, many records as, as the strongest man in the world. And what you know of his bodybuilding was invented by Eugene Sandow. And it's his body that is the Mr. Olympia trophy. And his teachings are phenomenal. In fact, all the way back in 1929, in his book Life is Movement, he said, no man can achieve optimal Physical strength until all his glands and organs are healthy. This guy did strength feats that none of the drug users could even come close to today before vitamins and protein powders or any of that stuff was even conceived of. So I kind of have a loving respect for Eugene Sandow. At 5 foot 9, 211 pounds, he could take a 301 pound dumbbell from floor to ceiling with one arm.
Would you consider him to be the original strongman?
Well, there was strong men before him for, you know, quite a line of them. I would say he is probably the. Well, he's the founder of what we call bodybuilding, but he didn't do what they did. I would say he is probably truly the father of what we would call functional exercise Art studio. It doubles as an art studio and a blog. And I'm in the middle of doing. I just finished a four day healing journey with one of my clients and so I'm finishing some artwork for him as a gift, which I often do for people. And you ask where the water comes from? It comes from right there.
That's a trustable source.
Yeah, it's one of the few water supplies in the world that was tested and didn't even have any nuclear fall out of it. It was crystal clear, nothing in it except minerals. And we buy it in glass. So it's awesome. And then I charge it. I designed, I teach my students and I develop this system for charging water which I develop my stovetop and I do it.
You get created a play office.
Yeah.
Alan Watts said, if you want to have a great life, do something for work that's called play.
Exactly. And the thing is that I practice what I teach. So if I can't live it, how can I teach it? This is the Tigeria. This is where I do a lot of healing journeys with shamanic medicines were taken. This is the water charger. So it charges the bottles up. These stones are put in position so that they generate a vortex which spins the water molecules inside the bottle and records all the information from the sun, the moon and the starlight is imprinted into the water. And then your biological system, you use that as basic operational software.
Are these all rocks from the area.
Or did you break these different.
Like this one here?
Yeah, that some of them I get from a place called KRC Rock, which is a landscaping supply. These are crystals from Mexico, this is lava from Hawaii. And these type ones are from right around here. And then other ones are stones that I've either collected for healing purposes or that people have Given me as gifts. But basically I'm inducing different frequencies the chakra system. Sometimes when I do healing work with people, I have them come out here and I'll work on them out here so that they're getting a balance from the water charger.
You said your soul taught you how to do this.
Yeah, that's the. I teach how to do that. If you want to learn how to do that, just go to our website and get the primal pattern eating webinar. And I show you how to access your soul so that you can learn to get guided on your diet. Hydration related, but you can use it for anything. Once you learn the basic principles of soul. Connection with soul means consciousness within. So the soul is the collective consciousness of you. The collective consciousness of you is really just an expression of the entire universe. So you're like a cork in the ocean. Cork forgets that it is the ocean and the soul is what says hey, by the way, you are all that. So if the universe knows it or God knows it, then the soul knows it. So you don't have to read a million books. All you got to do is get still enough and learn to listen to the universe within yourself. Yes, this is Dr. Quiet. Yeah, Dr. Quiet. You don't get. If you can't shut your head down, you can never hear the voice of God. As a metaphor.
How many rooms with books in them? Or does every room have books in them?
The overflow is in Penny's office, so it has, you know, all the books. I've run out of room. When I moved here from the Institute, I had to get rid of five shelves of books like this because I had no place to keep them. So I had to kind of carefully select out books.
What are you reading right now that you're fascinated by?
Oh, I read lots of stuff. I mean, like, what have you read.
In the past couple days that's top of mind?
Well, this is a great book. Working my way through that. God of the new physics, Paul Davies, the Individuation of God.
Some light reading for you. Right.
And I've got all sorts of stuff that I'm reading, but.
Oh, the Hero's Journey.
Yeah, I studied it.
Fantastic.
I studied Joseph Campbell for years and years.
Every movie is designed on that story arc. They're all the. So is your character every life, right? Yeah.
But I have a large collection of great minds. That's the collected works of Carl Jung right there.
Is this what you studied to do your spirit animal webinar workshop?
No, that's other stuff. That I studied. That's Joseph Campbell's work. I studied, you know, a myriad of different things, and I do a lot of it by inner work. But Ken Wober's collected works, Jung's collected works, Rumi's collected works of Rumi's poetry, collective works of Hezrat Inyot Khan, a famous Sufi master. This is all Taoism and Chinese philosophy, Native American philosophy. This is Joseph Campbell. And then over there I've got Houston Smith down there, this is more Taoism, Chinese medicine and Taoism, Middle Eastern philosophy, Islam, Sufism, Yogananda's teachings, theosophy.
Yeah, it looks like you have some things in binders here, like very old text.
Yeah, those are actually lessons from the Self Realization Fellowship Church. I was raised in that fellowship. That was my original exposure.
This is your mother, correct? Was it my influence?
Yeah. So Yogananda is the master, the founder of the system alchemy. And this is. Well, here's my office. Well, since we're walking by. So a lot of the paintings are paintings that I've done. Some of them are paintings that I've done with patients as part of a healing process. And I do a mandala every year to start my year. That's 2018. This is my morning prayer altar here where I do my prayers of thanks.
Do you do a standing prayer or is it kneeling or sitting?
I stand and I do the Native American approach. I do the four directions. North, south, east, west, above, below, and then spirit in your heart. And I thank all the masters and saints and sages of all religions and just connect to Mother Nature and thank her for her support. That's my little boy. I got a little 22 and a half year old. I've got a 38 year old in the split.
There's so much to look at. One could just walk around your house and look and read for an entire day.
Oh, yeah. I've had people stay with me and they just never want to leave.
They just want to hang out at the Heaven House.
I probably got one of the best collections of books for anyone interested in anything to do with human development. This is the rest of the library, where occasionally I'll have guests stay for multiple day healing ceremonies. That's the collected works of osho. I'm just watching Wild Wild Country.
Yes, the documentary, Paul.
Oh, yeah. That's my handwritten notes of my studies of osho.
Oh, wow.
That's five years of studying osha.
Would you say that you're a very avid note taker when you do any courses at all? It seems like it.
Well, what I do is I don't just take notes. I write down ideas and inspirations and ways I can apply the teachings and then I go back and apply it so that I can decide whether it works in practice versus just theory.
So these stood out to me here. What are these?
Early 1800s. Those are very, very important, rare and very expensive books which go with this map right here. Major General Forlough mapped out the history of all world religions. And that is the history of the beginning of human records of religion. And it shows what we believed was the source of all life at each phase of development. And it shows all the way back to early shamanism, all the way up to fairly recently how you see, for example, if you follow the green, which is the worship of trees as God. Next to it you see the sun, next to it you see the snake, etc. You can see how all of our religious ideas today are actually the birth children of the predecessors. So those books you pointed to are the record of and the description of each of the different stages of the development of world religions and the people that they came from.
So at the beginning there's just source?
Yeah, well, if you want to go back that far. But I'm starting with the beginning of what people thought of as this or that as God.
I could spend a whole day just reading that thing.
Yeah, there's a pile of stuff in here that's all of the recorded audios of all of Osho's audio recorded lectures from him lecturing to his students. These are all university courses that I've studied or I'm in the process of studying. These are millions of DVDs and all sorts of shit I've studied over the years. Mountains and mountains of it. There's a bunch of my notebooks from all my studies right there. And I probably have that much more at home as well.
How many nuggets and wisdom gems are in there?
Thousands.
Thousands. Look at this. It's like two full shelves of completed notes. Yeah, this is like literally the wisdom from Paul Czech's closet.
It is. It's hiding in the closet.
That's a vault.
It's the vault. Yeah, I got a bunch of other ones too in Honey's office. And then down here is my treatment room. These are my patents on different things I've invented. I have three patents.
This is all like for physiology measurement.
That's for measuring forward head posture so you can determine whether your exercises are working. That's a hydrotherapy device I invented that corrects the strength imbalances in athletes legs. This one I didn't patent, but this measures first rib inclination, pelvic tilt, rib cage expansion, and a few other things. And this is a machine I developed for conditioning the core that allows you to do a myriad of different high performance and rehab exercises. And I have a patent on that one. I've never bothered to try to sell it because I just had so much going on. I just exhausted of all the patent process itself. Long, expensive and tiring.
Would you say in this room that you help people through like somewhat of a spiritual surgery?
Well, I do that kind of work out there.
Out there, yeah.
You know, but sometimes I do that in here. But it's most of that work I like to do outside where they're grounded in nature. That type of work isn't typically best done in a room like this. It's better where you can be connected to the earth or to plants or to the sky. And that work, I do a lot of that work when people are at home in their own natural environment so they feel safe. And I do it by Skype. But it depends on the situation. There's too many different possibilities there.
This is incredible. Your card, your medicine card?
Yeah. I am a licensed medicine man and spirit guy and I can do medicine work legally.
That's quite the process. We just had Rose Cole on the show. She has a car as well, and it was fascinating to hear about her story. So I'm sure it's quite the process to get that.
Actually, that one's not too hard to get. You have to get grandfathered in and then they have a course of study you have to do. But I spoke to the chief and said I wanted him to look at the work that I'd done in my PPS program in the Czech Institute. And he said, what you teach is so far beyond what we teach that you don't even need to bother. We'll just give you your license.
I just gave you one.
And he wanted me to make as much as I could available to their membership because he felt it would be valuable for them. So fortunately for me, I'd already done all the work that they wanted and a lot more.
When we interviewed on the podcast, somebody had a specific question about your total. Paul, this is 10 years old when you came up with that.
It's probably older than that.
It's older than 10.
Let's see, this is 2018, 2000. No, it's older than that. It's probably around, I think, 2005 or 6, maybe 5, I developed. I've completed. I've been working on it from the beginning of my career. But it took me till about 2005 to finally finish the research and development to where I was confident that each piece was where it should be.
So there's a lot of healing that goes on here, specifically on this as well.
This is really the epicenter of. You know, I'm kind of like the central neuron of the Czech Institute. So the entire Czech Institute's education systems were developed here and here. This is. This just happens to be one of many offices I've had. It just is the one I like the most.
I love the stained glass, too. Yeah. Now, these are vibrational pads or.
No, no, those are highly calibrated scales so that I can evaluate things like.
Weight shift and asymmetry and whatnot.
Yeah, asymmetries is what I'm looking for. But I use that largely to assess the person's upper cervical alignment. Because whenever the atlas is at a position, it causes a weight shift. So I have to have a very accurate measurement. So then I do therapy, and then I put them back on, and it gives me feedback as to whether I'm balancing the body or not.
So Danny Way spent a lot of time on this table.
Danny Way's been on that table. Yeah.
Yeah.
So is Laird Hamilton. So is Gabby Reese and many, many others.
Paul, you have a house phone. That's how you know that. Like, there's a history here. You have a house phone.
Yeah.
That's so rare that somebody has a house phone anymore.
Just in case a dinosaur wants to call me.
Okay, that's true.
Yeah. We have a landline for the business up here. That's one of the phones.
What chief is that? Paul, what chief is that up there?
I don't know who that is. That was given to me as a gift by the guy that filmed that, funded and filmed the documentary the Cure is you. The chief on the other side of the wall is Chief Joseph. And quite a shocking thing. My mother sculpts people that she feels have been contributors to peace in the world. So she only sculpts people like Mother Teresa, Father Gregory Boyle, Albert Schweitzer, Martin Luther King and Chief Joseph. The story of Chief Joseph is too long to tell right now, but it's a very sad story of how this Wounded Knee. No different. No different. He was the chief of the nest for Purse Indians. And the US military chased them all the way to the Canadian border and caught him right before the Canadian border. But there's a story behind it. But Chief Joseph died of a broken heart. But he was a very powerful, very beautiful man. If you want to see his sculpture, I'll show you a couple of very cool sculptures that my mother's done. So that's the Dalai Lama and that's Chief Joseph. So when I became a medicine man spirit guide, and I looked into the organization more deeply, I found out that they were the Nez Perce Indians, which is Chief Joseph. And I've had that sculpture for many years. And so all of a sudden, I'm now part of their tribe buying license.
I have to tell you, I feel like he's looking when I don't know.
Oh, yeah, he is.
I mean, it's so realistic.
It is my mom's love. Oh, my God.
I just got like a chill from seeing that.
She's a very good sculptor.
Wow. That's incredible.
People are people. They can't manage sugar, drugs, money, sex, or anything. It's just part of life. But the boomerang of love always brings back exactly what you throw out. So I tell people, be careful what you're doing because you're gonna end up having to experience yourself. You learned the hard way, the boomerang.
Of love always comes back.
Yeah, love is a boomerang.
