In this podcast excerpt, Speaker A condemns the modern spiritual community’s conflation of Tantra with polyamory, describing it as a distortion that leads to chaotic, unhealthy nervous‑system effects and warning that such practices should be barred from the Brotherhood. Josh Trent expands on this criticism by framing polyamory and related hedonistic behaviors as a form of limbic‑system driven addiction, emphasizing the variable‑reward mechanisms that underlie social media, pornography, and sexual encounters justified as spiritual expansion. Together, they argue that using spiritual language to legitimize unrestricted sexual activity fuels ego, lust, and destabilizes men’s energy, ultimately harming both individuals and the collective Brotherhood.

Sometimes when I tell people I practice Tantra, they're like, oh, polyamory? Because that's what it's been bastardized into by this quote-unquote spiritual community. Yeah, that has taken a beautiful belief system and turned it into cuddle puddles, like going and swinging and swapping and doing all kinds of other crap that only takes your nervous system immediately and almost irrevocably in the wrong direction. Polyamory is polyagony. And I'm sorry to draw such a hard line. If people are coming towards the Brotherhood and they ask me like, hey, can I do this with, you know, a girlfriend and a wife? My answer is absolutely not. Don't even come in the container. Yeah, and you're going to infect every man around you with your chaotic, absolutely out of your body energy because you are trying to do something that's not natural.
It's biologically explained through the limbic system, 100%, the entire arc of addiction. It's not just the reward, it's the variable reward that drives addiction. When we go to social media, it's that we don't know what's going to be there. When we go to open up the porn, it's the whole process. When we go to have sex with our wife's friend because we've justified hedonism as polyamory and spiritual expansion. There's this time between when we do the act and then the lead-up and kind of like the edging of the act, if you will. The excitement around that fuels anything that our ego wants to fuel itself with. The validation of it's okay to fuck everyone else because it's about expansion and play. It's okay to lust after women. It's okay to use screens. We could justify almost anything, and you can use spiritual language to do it.
